  1. That's so last year, lol https://wallethub.com/edu/most-diverse-cities/12690
  2. TBH, the only reason I'm moving is because the CEO randomly decided I'm too senior to work remotely. I'd move somewhere with a better climate if I had my way. But I managed to avoid Vegas for 15 years of my casino career, so that's a win
  3. I don't think anyone here hates Texas, per se. Some of the people in it, sure, but not the state itself. Most of us are too indoctrinated for that. But some of us recognize that what made Texas so great, is fading and it's becoming homogenized and just another state. There's nothing particularly interesting or unique anymore. Because of the diaspora, you can get good breakfast tacos, tex-mex, and barbecue outside Texas now. Plus, Shiner and Lone Star. Now you're left with brutal summers, dried up or crammed springs, McMansions throughout the Hill County and horrible traffic.
  4. No need, plenty of work will soon be available picking crops, cleaning toilets, slaughtering animals, and mowing lawns.
  5. Just for clarification, Texas does not have the most diverse city in America. I think Houston once held that title, but doesn't anymore. I'm also not sure the genocide of the Comanche is something you want in a bumper sticker. The truth is that what made Texas great was the spirit of the people who lived here, and that is largely gone, or ginned up in a phoney, braggadocios caricature of itself. I'm moving to Las Vegas in a month, and other than the food, my friends, and the nostalgia of what was, I won't miss anything. Cue the "well, bye" gif, lol
  6. Lol at "Joe MAGAt" having a 401(k)
  7. This might be truer than we think. Other countries might not let us in.
  8. Obama was right at the time, but he didn't have a crystal ball telling him America would elect a Russian asset ...twice.
  9. So does Trump ...maybe they're Eskimo brothers
  10. Get your pre-orders in before prices skyrocket LADA official website
  11. That strategy worked well for me with 3Com back in the day.
  12. Anyone else moving money into the international market? And/or consumer staples? I've been rebalancing my portfolios to be less US centric in hope of avoiding the isolationist crash. Am I overreacting?
  13. But the US government were the buyers before. Why would the Europeans buy from the US now, when they can just use locals like BAE, Rheinmetall, Thales and Leonardo?
  14. Great song but is it sacrilege to say I like the Jerry Jeff version better?
  15. Counterpoint, Trump isn't being played, MAGA is.
  16. I believe the preferred nomenclature is Swastikar
  17. You can laugh, but I bet her IQ is in the 1st percentile
  18. You have to remember too that the many of people living in Texas today aren't even Texans. The population has doubled since most of us were growing up, with cities like Dallas, Austin, and Houston being filled to the gills with carpetbaggers. The spirit of Texas is dead Celebrating Texas Independence Day is the equivalent of Celebrating Cinco de Mayo. Most people don't even know what they're celebrating. It reminds me of the people who still say Keep Austin Weird. Austin hasn't been weird in 30 years.
  19. It means the Texas we all once loved is dead
  20. Mikey winning makes me think Anora will take BP
  21. Would have been the biggest travesty in recent Oscar memory if she didn't win. What an amazing performance.
  22. Pegging talk not going away
