  1. What real changes did we make between the first half and the second half?
  2. Really liked A Desert. Psychological horror. Depraved but also a bit Lynchian at times.
  3. I beg to fucking differ
  4. Brent’s Sooners have scored a touchdown against Texas in only one out of four games. Will be a sad day when he is fired.
  5. Eh, people have been screaming at him to take the points all year. Chance to get get it to a 2 score game, I’m ok with the decision.
  6. Annie Hall, Manhattan, Reds, The Godfathers, Something’s Gotta Give, Father of the Bride, Interiors, Play It Again Sam, Manhattan Murder Mystery, and many more. One of the greats.
  7. I love Texas. But I love free money even more.
  8. The GOAT, can't wait. Guy is really something. If you included only his movies made in this century, he'd still probably be one of the all time greats. As an aside, ranking Marty movies is an impossibleexercise. My personal top ten (I think) is below, but it omits some absolutely stone cold classics. 1. Goodfellas 2. After Hours 3. Raging Bull 4. The Last Waltz 5. Wolf of Wall Street 6. Killers of the Flower Moon 7. Silence 8. Taxi Driver 9. King of Comedy 10. Casino
  9. That makes sense, because Stroh is the most consistent player on the team. You know what you are going to get every single time, so Sark can game plan around playing 10 vs. 11.
  10. Finding 4 more wins is not easy. Arkansas and Kentucky are the two most obvious likely Ws (although Kentucky at night and Petrino offense both scare you to death). Georgia is going to be ugly. So find 2 wins among OU, @MSU, Vandy, and A&M. Oddly enough I feel OU is the most likely win among those 4 (certainly if Mateer is out).
  11. To the contrary, I thought your sequence of posts was quite comical
  12. The Iron Claw made 3x its budget at the box office for A24 just 2 years ago, with a lot of the same characteristics.
  13. Some incredible one liners in the Scipio write up. I remember the long ago days of fall camp laughing my ass off at CTJ making fun of Tarp write ups.
  14. Saw it a second time yesterday in 70mm IMAX. Hot damn this movie is electric. A film about the complexity of motherhood, fatherhood and family. A film about generational divide. A film about the limits of idealism when confronted by real world forces. A film that is fucking hilarious. A film that features one of the great car chase scenes in cinema history. Honestly pretty impressive slorch was able to glean all of that before the title card hit.
  15. Still feeling confident on this take?
  16. This genuinely made me laugh out loud. Never change.
  17. Pilgrimage to Hill Farmstead and Alchemist (among others) this weekend. Special places.
  18. I’ve seen 1-9 on your list, although didn’t really consider Sinners a horror movie, but I guess it could qualify.
  19. Those three are in my top ten for the year. Loved Shrouds.
  20. This has been a super mid horror year for me overall. Weapons, Bring Her Back, 28 Years, Shrouds, Together, Final Destination, Woman in the Yard. @Fud anything better you’ve seen that came out this year? Strange Harvest is on my list, but that’s about it.
  21. I think the closest you could probably get to that in real life is Portland. It gets woodsy pretty quickly once you leave Portland proper. But, it's obviously entirely fictitious in the movie. The Texas Dip where they shot the car chase is in San Diego county.
  22. Who had Mo Bamba (song, not player) in a PTA movie on their bingo card?
  23. Only being shown in NY, LA, London, and Boston, but seeing it in imax will still be awesome. Im going to see it for a second time this weekend in 70mm IMAX.
