  1. Seeking advice. I am sick of dealing with 1 lb propane canisters (they’re impossible to dispose of where I live). I have a unique situation where I live and have to move my grill from my detached garage (where it is kept) up two steps to another step that’s like 36”x36” - this is where my grill (currently a Weber Q 1200) sits when I grill. I then move back into my garage when done and it’s cooled down. I grill wayyyyyyyy more than smoke anything and never do long, long overnight smokes. However I despite not smoking a ton still am sold on a portable pellet grill. I’d do a Weber 18’ kettle but a) I am lazy, b) have poor vision so charcoal is tough for me to sometimes see if lit and c) it takes so long to cool down I couldn’t move back into my garage that evening probably and it’d likely walk away. City livin’ … Which of these should I grab? Price is pretty irrelevant. GMG Trek (I’m kinda sold on it) … https://greenmountaingrills.com/products/grills/prime/trek/ Camp Chef Pursuit https://www.campchef.com/shop/grills-and-smokers/grills/portable-grills/portable/CC-Pellet-Grills-and-Smokers-Portable.html Pit Boss Mahagoney (I’ve heard terrible customer service stories recently about PB so leery) https://pitboss-grills.com/grills/portables/pit-boss-mahogany-series-150pps-tabletop-wood-pellet-grill
  2. There are 537 individual fires coast to coast in the 2nd biggest country on earth that have burned 9 million hectares and they’re all in areas without roads or people. But yes let’s pretend America could do better. The Canadian fires are child’s play compared to what Canada is facing I can’t see across the one mile river I live on due to smoke and being outside more than 30 minutes leads to eye irritation and coughing it’s fucking brutal and won’t get better until winter since it never really rains anymore. We have a cabin in Canada and can’t visit because it is likely to burn to the ground
  3. 100 percent businesses will now go full scorched earth and refuse to work with Muslims, Catholics, Jews, etc. Some will refuse Blacks entry and cite that decision.
  4. I think the finale was my least favorite episode of S2, oddly. Something didn't feel right to me, but it might just be because of all the characters I actually care least about Carmy.
  5. The jury pool is ruby red as can be. They'll absolutely believe him.
  6. Rumors they’ll be in Philly, which is wayyyy past due. It’s the best food city in the country now.
  7. The crowd that attend this is very similar to ones that attend Jeep Weekend on Bolivar Peninsula so Godspeed.
  8. Ha fair sorry. I’m not a praying type but prayers up to everyone of y’all and more importantly to ERCOT to not shit the bed.
  9. Thankfully my high will be 80 as I moved away years and years ago
  10. Dallas might take a close run to 110 Wednesday.
  11. It's pouring rain and I'm in my home office on a muted call. Mrs. Ace walked in a few minutes ago and asked me, "It's raining. Should I wait to start the washing machine until it's done?" I turned around to ask her what the hell she was talking about and I before I could open my mouth ... she's gone and I now hear her making lunch.
  12. His mom’s pics of the weekend are incredible. Texas puts on a hell of an official weekend show.
  13. Brilliant. Back to form after French Dispatch and Isle of Dogs. Going to have to rewatch to pick up on so many subtle things.
  14. One of the more beautiful cities in the world, absolutely.
  15. They’re not. Prigohzin is a wanted man by the US govt - one of the most evil men in the world who wants to bombard all of Ukraine - we wouldn’t support this. Destabilized Russia is worse than what we currently see It alway has been and always will be I’ve also seen some call this the modern day Kornilov putsch. I disagree. 1917 serfs were activated and loyal to the movement. Today’s working class and poor (the overwhelmingly majority( Russians are apathetic to the core. Masters are fighting. Servants aren’t exactly creaking at this time.
  16. Haven’t posted in this thread since the invasion - this all is just too sad for me to talk about. That said two things 1) Prigozhin is a bad man, worse in many ways than Putin, so don’t support him because the result for Ukraine is worse and lots to Russian civilians will be dead. 2) The emperor has no clothes but he still has the army. Until that flips, this coup isn’t sustainable. Civil war has to break out in Russia for a coup to be successful. Russian history only repeated itself. It knows only pain.
  17. Can't say much but I was somewhat involved in this. It's been fascinating to watch. And you'll see this on Shaprio's presidential ads (well you all in Texas might cause why waste money in that state) in 2031.
  18. Very bad. Told my parents don’t expect power for another week today
  19. Ha thanks I wish it didn’t. But it’s a 13. Want a new one but ya know the industry is fucked.
  20. Getting gas today, the wife got out to ensure a 60 cents a gallon credit was going to be part of our purchase. As I was hanging the gas cap onto the little built-in holder on the gas tank door, she looked at me like my head was suddenly a giraffe. She had no idea you can hang a gas cap. She said she has always let it dangle and thought that area of the door was kart kf trh closing mechanism. She’s been driving for more than 2 decades.
  21. Drought here in PA. Corn crops are fucked. As are a bunch of other crops - praying the apple fields are ok.
  22. Family in east Texas has been without power since Friday’s storms (very very bad out there). They gave up yesterday morning and rove to Dallas to stay at a hotel and chill for the weekend. They don’t expect power for days.
