  1. Counterpoint (hopefully), before the 2020 Election we had both Brazil elect Bolsonaro in 2018 and the Conservative Party absolutely crush the Labour Party in the UK December 2019 general election. Biden still won. This could just be Argentina's version of 2016. They are pissed off and are willing to give the nutjob a chance because "how could it get worse" or "he'll tone it down once he's in office." The U.S. voters already saw how that worked out first-hand.
  2. Riley really wishing he could have put off firing Grinch till the end of the season. No more scapegoats left and the defense is still absolute trash.
  3. Finishing the season with 3-4 losses has been UCLAs ceiling for 20+ years now. Admin gonna fire Kelly for achieving that while beating USC? He's getting at least another year.
  4. So who did it better: Seattle foisting Russell Wilson on Denver or Green Bay offloading Rodgers to New York?
  5. One step closer to getting Arthur Smith fired for Atlanta fans. He was letting top-10 picks go severely underutilized even before Bijan (Pitts and London). I'd like to believe he finally realized what Bijan could do with more touches (don't need to necessarily make him a workhorse like prime Emmit Smith), but he's probably just doing it because enough people yelled at him behind the scenes and he's out of options. Lose enough to get him fired this offseason and hire someone who will actively look to utilize Bijan, Pitts, and London on a regular basis.
  6. Didn't North Carolina pull a similar stunt with their fake classes and grades a few years ago and basicslly got off with no punishment? Of course in their case they simply said the NCAA wasn't the proper organization to hand out punishment for their diploma mill tactics.
  7. In that case Dak would still somehow have taken the sack and they'd have missed a 45-yard FG on the last play to tie the game. Because that's how it works.
  8. Dallas (Jerry) apparently still insists on giving rbs touches based on how much they get paid as opposed to how they'd be most effective. It's maddening. He waits till the season after the injury to give Pollard touches because that's when he's getting paid more.
  9. Counterpoint, by the time of the last sack, there was ample evidence that Dak shouldn't be relying on the RT position and should pay more attention to a rush getting to him quickly from that direction.
  10. Mario Cristobal is feverishly taking notes.
  11. Again, that crowd, and probably other crowds around the U.S. depending on circumstance, should be dispersed and possibly arrested. At the same time, no one should be surprised at these situations when the government does everything short of cheer on an ongoing genocide. The options here are not only let genocide slide or claim Israel has no right to defend itself.
  12. Out of line? Yes. But at the same time it looks pretty shitty of Biden to largely sit back while borderline genocide is happening. Maybe he's using stronger language behind the scenes, but publicly it sure looks like he's just going through the motions of asking for Israel to pull back a bit. Like a parent asking a fussy toddler to behave once, and when they say no, throwing up their hands and saying "I tried, what more do you want me to do?"
  13. 10-7 or 9-8 with a lopsided loss in the WC round appears to be a mortal lock for Pittsburgh for the 4th-5th season in a row.
  14. ...yeah maybe I should stop overthinking things and just roll with the guy setting records. My track record of proposed trades isn't great this year. I offered up CMC and AJ Brown after week 4 for Bijan and Tyreek Hill (could stack Hill with Tua at qb) because I was convinced Shanahan was overusing CMC (true) and that he'd fall apart before the season ended (still time for this to happen, but in the meantime...hello more records). Bullet dodged.
  15. Trade proposal, non-ppr: Give up A.J. Brown and Jahmyr Gibbs Get Ja'Marr Chase and Isiah Pacheco Initial reaction was I'd rather keep Brown and Gibbs, but now I'm not so sure. Chase and Brown are largely a wash now that Burrow is healthy IMO, and I have to assume Montgomery and Gibbs split time after this week (bye week). Montgomery was too effective prior to the rib injury to just hand the backfield over to Gibbs. I have Burrow as well, so I'd be stacking him with Chase going forward. Thoughts?
  16. Urban?* *Need to fake near-death health issue(s) and change schools.
  17. Wasn't that his high school? Not that uncommon for players to use their high school in the intros.
  18. Even more amazing that the Jets needed a last minute choke on a short fg from the Giants and a competent drive by Zach Wilson to force overtime.
  19. Haha, fuck USC. They get a bullshit review of the review after the teams left the field for halftime, get gifted a 33-yard fg attempt, and shank it.
  20. Nice stat padding by Williams on that last throw. Waited until 3 seconds left to throw to a guy in the middle of the field at the 20-yard line so they had no attempt at a fg.
  21. So based on that verbal diarrhea of an answer, someone asked him about not being able to recruit well enough in-state at this point?
  22. Sounds like the House Republicans need to hand out a consulting contract to the Ol Ball Coach, given his expertise in rotating in personnel on a basis that makes no sense.
  23. I mean, yeah, the core lunatics will always blame the Democrats because that's what they're told, but at least this time around it looks like more of the middle group/undecideds isn't buying that line of bullshit, which is all that really matters in the coming election. The Republicans seems to even be doing a great job of alienating some of their "moderates." Maybe not to the point that they vote Democrat, but maybe they just don't vote in say, the presidential race during the general election.
  24. Cool, Liz Cheney for speaker.
  25. So are we now at either expanded powers for McHenry or nothing in terms of the House of Reps functioning moving forward? Sure looks like Trump won't stay out of this and a significant number of Republicans will switch their vote the second he takes a stance against a candidate.
