  1. UA has a quality basketball program. Yormark has a long term strategy of getting a separate basketball contract from football.
  2. I don't think Stanford and Cal really bring anything to the ACC.
  3. It was uneven revenue sharing.
  4. I would understand the ABOR refusing to let Arizona leave if ASU were going to be left with nowhere to go. I don't understand them making Arizona stay when ASU is free to come with them.
  5. Possible, but 5 or 6 seems more likely to me.
  6. Keep your chin up. I bet you go 6-6.
  7. This has to be a real roller coaster for OSU and WSU fans. Really feel for those guys.
  8. That's a very friendly rivalry.
  9. 2007-2008: Louisville 2009-2010: UCLA 2011-2012: Miami 2014: Auburn 2016: Stanford 2017: Vanderbilt 2018-2019: Mississippi State 2021: Stanford 2022-2023: Missouri 2024-2025: Arizona
  10. Yeah, and then have a late season tune-up/rest game against an FCS program like the SEC does.
  11. Imagine getting a conference schedule against Illinois, Indiana, Purdue, Rutgers, Maryland, Cal, Stanford, Minnesota, and Northwestern. Nebraska could almost get bowl eligible with that schedule.
  12. Yes, and the champion will have only played half of the schools in the conference.
  13. It's really weird because rivalries are fun and mean a whole lot more when the games you play have actual stakes. It makes no sense why BYU and Utah would prefer to be in different conferences, unless it's more of an anti-mormon thing than a sports rivalry.
  14. Kansas State vs. Missouri Cincinnati vs. Pitt BYU vs. Arkansas Houston and UCF need to do better, but it's also their first year. At least UCF is playing Boise.
  15. They aren't going to get a full share from the Big 10. That's the hold up. Not sure the Big 12 should take them over ASU and Utah if they are going to wait out the next media deal to try and get a full share in the Big 10.
  16. The best thing about this tweet is that that account jokes around a lot, and I honestly can't tell if that tweet is serious or a joke. Leaning toward definitely a joke.
  17. Yes, they truly are a conference of academic gentlemen.
  18. Yes, God forbid the conference responsible for the whole realignment shit show look predatory.
  19. Sounds like the weirdos who tried to get me to sell Amway back in college.
  20. It's better if everyone else starts streaming on just a couple of different platforms. It's worse if every conference gets its own streaming provider. I like watching PAC after dark, but I usually fall asleep during it and I'm not going to buy an extra package specifically to watch it.
  21. I don't think it's unrealistic to expect 2 playoff teams and 10 tournament teams most years. No idea how much money that equates or what assumptions the article made.
  22. That article lists two figures. Total revenues of $41M-$43M per team that include Tier 3 and other revenue sources like the NCAA tournament and CFP, but the media deal is for $31.66M per team. The $31.66M is what the Pac deal is being compared to and it does not include Tier 3.
  23. No, the Big 12 schools sell their T3 rights separate from their media deal. So it's actually apples to apples if the figure doesn't include revenue from the PAC 12 network.
  24. There isn't any reason for a grant of rights to last longer than the Big 12's media deal, and that's short enough that I'd rather not have UW or UO if they might leaver earlier than that. The ACC's mistake was signing a 20 year media deal. They aren't falling apart because of their grant of rights. They are falling apart because FSU doesn't want UCF to have a better media deal than them.
  25. 12 game regular season, 2 games for conference championship, 3 games for the playoffs.
