  1. I was listening to a a podcast on scammers, and one episode was about an Iowa lottery scam. Apparently, they state lotteries do a decent amount of security-verification for big-ticket winners a la pulling confirming video from the purchasing location. Who knew?
  2. Before the fake controversy this year, my wife and I used to chuckle about how dirty "Baby, It's Cold Outside" was for the 1940s. Off topic since likely only one pecker in that song. We all need to ratchet down our snowflake meters and learn to have a sense of humor. We move the goalposts and then hold people accountable for playing under the old rules.
  3. Among the top 100 things I will never understand ... I suggest MOB put on red and yellow and play the Maryland fight songs next year.
  4. Can't argue with any of that. Just like OSU's Purdue loss seems to kick it out of the Top 10. At the end of the day, polls will always be unexact science. After bowl season, I think XII may have been the best conference. I know excuses (secsecsec), but if Grier plays, WVU likely beats Syracuse, and ISU got hosed by the zebras. Easily could have gone 6-1 in bowls, and each win was quality.
  5. <TRIGGER WARNING>For you young pups, more about Matthew Shepard.</TRIGGER WARNING>
  6. After Monday I could argue for: 1. Clemson 2. Notre Dame 3. Alabama 4. ousux 5. OSU 6. Florida 7. LSU 8. Texas 9. Georgia 10. WSU I hate to do it, but ND schedule was pretty good, and the OSU should not get a pass for no playoff. Don't think you cannot put Georgia above Texas when Texas won "31-14."
  7. What is that? Zipties? Shopping cart? Tell me more ... I usually just hock a lug on the driver's door handle.
  8. No seriously ... who is that? I could not concentrate on the rest of the game ...
  9. Saw both of these during the last few months, one courtesy of AA and one for $0.27 courtesy of a Redbox coupon. I really enjoyed both plot holes aside. Like mentioned above, the one thing that really drove me nuts was the final timelines: 1) the copters being 15 minutes out but somehow night turned to mid-day during that time; 2) the Matamoros guys drove for 15 minutes (or three days by the helicopter timeline) and end up in the same place they shot Alejandro?; 3) why wouldn't they just return the girl secretly vs. WPP? Curious to see what #3 brings - I guess Alejandro vs. Matt. I get a little bubblegum, but I wanted Matt to have to chopper go get his body and find him alive ... sue me for needing a clean happy ending. Overall, fun popcorn movies - good action flicks with cool actors without dumbass shaky cameras and gratuitous CGI, which is rare these days.
  10. aggy could screw up a two-car parade. Their inferiority complex and unprecedented insanity will be fun to watch as they talk smack to actual secsecsec teams ... they have not figured out they always will be a probationary member.
  11. Good luck and thanks for all you did for the program. I hope it works out well for you and you don't end up in Cleveland, Oakland, or Cincinnati.
  12. I agree. That's why I said "starting to" (not being a smart ass). Like the gent above said, there are parallels around causality and using racism to cover it up. I certainly hope that's not the case. If anything good comes out of this, it should remind us all not to join virtual lynch mobs sparking by racists with agendas.
  13. Agreed. This entire story is really starting to smell fishy a la Susan Smith. First, it feels abnormal for a mother to take a 15- and 9-year-old out in the early morning for a coffee run, which seemed to extend beyond the busiest Starbucks experience. Both kids easily could have been at home for a few minutes, likely both asleep and never would have noticed mom stepped out for Java. Second, reading back through the original articles, the descriptions were very clear: red truck pulled beside them; white guy; mid-forties; beard; blue eyes. Literally nothing is even close to the actual suspect. I get eye witnesses are not reliable, but I do not believe it is common for two non-children to miss by that far. It would have made more sense to me if mom and daughter had different descriptions - that seems to be more in line with what occurs in most situations. Unfortuantely, a beautiful little girl is dead. And, it seems the Susan Smith parallels are getting closer not further. I doubt will ever now the truth. The racists will circle their wagons if it gets too hot.
  14. I'm going with brown trash Americans from SoCal or a cartel, but I could be wrong. What Mayans is missing is the Clay and Gemma characters. Maybe they'll develop in the next season. It is a close parallel of SAMCRO but missing that element .... I don't think EJO ever plays a bad guy, so don't see this happening.
  15. The only two bowls that they didn't get to pick and choose their opponent. Georgia was focusing on the CFP. Alabama was getting ready for the Saints.
  16. Pre-paying for the national championship sign is not going to help that endowment.
  17. Don't feel too bad. It is a tragedy, but it was only a threat to race bait. Once the racists got egg on their face, folks took some levity ... It sucks that crimes like this are ignored by the race baiters unless they can be exploited. I agree with Anthony Michael Hall on the mammotharies.
  18. Guessing the Twitter racist asked the sheriff to give him credit ... No way he or the other race baiters are paying a reward for arresting another black guy. This way he can just pay himself and call it a day.
  19. I think he threw the pick-6 because he had just gotten jacked off by erb.
  20. Stupid sip ... None of those are secsecsec.
