  1. Chuckle. You have to be a serious snowflake to lose your tampon on a thread about a flu vaccine.
  2. This will just wake Alabama back up and stop the Clemson game planning.
  3. OU needs my son's flag football league mercy rules.
  4. May I suggest: https://www.surlyhorns.com/board/index.php?/forum/17-politics/ In all seriousness, my old company used to give free shots to everyone, so I assume virtually everyone I come in contact with got the shot, so why bother given the low probability of them getting the right one ... plus, not a big fan of needles and shots. If Jenny McCarthy were the nurse, I'd get it every year.
  5. Fair enough, but I would rather talk smack after Tuesday.
  6. I do not get the shot, and I have not gotten the flu. My wife and kids get it every year, and last year wifey had worst flu of her life.
  7. Agree ... But I'm a sports pessimist ... This does not make me feel confident.
  8. Even an 80s TV preacher could have predicted that.
  9. Orange Bowl not a fountain of burnt orange optimism.
  10. Anybody else no catch. Bama gets the call.
  11. Nothing worse than conference smack from shitty members. It's is always the junior members. You don't even hear that shit from Mississippi (both) fans.
  12. The 100th showing is making me hate Bongo Boy, Lincoln, and pool.
  13. No neg but EsecPN is making it hard to cheer for alabama.
  14. Can this be played for the committee any time it ranks ND top 10?
  15. Having made the mistake of venturing into facebook discussions around a couple of popular true crime stories, my unscientific research reveals that 99.99% of crazy, passionate true crime innocents fanatics are middle-aged, overweight, relatively unattractive single women. I have not figured out if that makes that a good or bad product placement. Like most issues, I can see both sides.
  16. I was not considering any sort of opposing view. I just assumed cops were targeting brown people to arrest for crimes. Fair enough ... not exactly "everyday stuff" so get the confusion. My bad.
  17. Yeah, I know - aggy to reply to myself - but the only thing discussed more here than faux outrage is edit timing. Listening to a podcast yesterday, the story of Clay Allen Duke was an episode. Another example: a guy this echo chamber would call deplorable, racist, national socialist, etc., but he was spouting Occupy schtick before the millenials. (snowflakes: not endorsing his methods, just FYI)
  18. Things that flummox me more than protests against democracy: 1) protests against mythical bogeymen; 2) the weird Identity Politics quotas and requirements. I realize I'm naive, but I wish if all the energy of faux outrage on both extremes could be put toward making the world better, we could actually make things better. All the money spent on anti-democracy protests could be spent feeding the poor, supporting organizations that provide services to illegal immigrants, supporting low-performing schools, etc.
  19. This. Notre Dame starts every year at at least #15 and in top five after it beats Army or Purdue. They have not belonged in the conversation since 1988.

    Applewhite Out

Make fun of Houston, but it has made some good hires sans Major. I would bet it has someone reasonably lined up. From timing, Holgerson makes sense given bowl yesterday. As noted, how awesome would it be to have the Pirate in Morgantown.
  21. Michigan and Purdue not making the conference look stellar.
