  1. He's an above average QB. Unfortunately, he also appears to be the living embodiment of the old cliche "Just good enough to get you beaten in the playoffs.'
  2. That was an amazingly shitty game until Roger Staubach came in and took off. Thus ended any talk of keeping Craig Morton as a starter. He wouldn't win a Super Bowl for Dallas until the 1977 season, when he was playing for Denver. 😀
  3. I think it comes down to whether they can rattle Purdy, which will require some at least intermittent success against the SF running game.
  4. Anyone else think we're going to see more uninteresting routs when the playoff expands to 12 teams?
  5. I'm surprised how badly Dak performed.
  6. I think your guess is correct. He's trying to say that if the Ags had scored seven more points in each game they lost, their record would have been 10-2. So, yeah, if they'd scored more than they actually did, their record would have been better. Duh. To quote Vince Lombardi, that's just how losers talk.
  7. Curious about your opinion. I know several relatively well-off Aggies who are almost normal. They all claim this current mess is connected Texas & Oklahoma joining the SEC as well. They claim even though A&M would never admit it, a lot of their money players got wind of it early and were badly shaken. They had envisioned themselves as the lead program in Texas due to being in the SEC and expected to have their choice of top recruits to feed Fisher. There was supposedly something like a panic attack when Texas and Oklahoma in the SEC loomed up as a possible reality, and that's supposedly why the bags got so big and numerous last year--to preemptively establish the Fisher empire. But they over did it, earning the wrath of their SEC playmates and making Ritz Bitz's well-established ego and personality problems even more inflated. Now they're stuck between a rock and a hard place and can only hope next year's team wins enough to create momentum.
  8. That seems a little unfair to Jacksonville. The Cowboys aren't their Super Bowl. They're just a losing team with a good attitude--they know they need to play better and are trying to improve every week.
  9. Nice.
  10. But you've forgotten the inestimable appeal of being in College Station.
  11. Man, don't you get it. EVERYONE, and I mean fucking EVERYONE from Miami to Seattle, dreams of a life in College Station. The ags are the first choice of every stud in a portal overflowing with them. Just you watch...
  12. It feels damn good to actually have a serious basketball team with a clear and consistent approach to the game that is building on itself as the season goes. It's been a while.
  13. That is all correct and lucidly stated.
  14. Anyone else feel nervous about going into the 4th quarter with a 14-point lead?
  15. PK is just a nice guy. If you don't let your opponent get the first down, they might feel bad.
  16. HANDS DOWN... Best six loss team in the country. Advantage Aggy,
  17. Was this the stupidest Aggy thing ever? It's the half-time TV bit where a university gets to emphasize academics and the student body (i.e., we're not just a football factory). So, what does Aggy choose to portray? Midnight cult practice highlighting their dork yell leaders. And then it scopes out to A&M, which hasn't even sniffed at an SEC title, intimidating other much more successful schools. And then it ends with Jimbo Baggins nodding wisely, not a good look to begin with and one that certainly hasn't aged well. Pathetic lack of self-awareness, thy name is Aggy.
  18. That's just what happens when two mediocre teams play each other. Ole Miss is seriously overrated based on the weakness of their first-half schedule.
  19. Best 4-loss team in the country. What's to complain about?
  20. I understand. The way we lost is discouraging (dead offense and tired defense in the 4th quarter) because it seems like an MO at this point. But we're also nothing special yet. We don't have the depth to be special. I think we'll eke out a bowl bid, which is a modest improvement over last year. If Sark isn't the guy, he'll eventually get fired, but let him at least try to land this recruiting class before we give in to despair and start blowing things up.
  21. That cannot be real. If it is, how pathetic. Trying to weasel in on a Tennessee team that earned the limelight all season.
  22. Exactly. Who cares when we play A&M? It probably won't be Thanksgiving since the NFL moved to three games on that day.
