  1. I say 10-6, in the playoffs either as wild card or division winner. It'd be nice to make the NFC title game, but after all these years, I'll believe it when I see it.
  2. Well, to be fair, he didn't say it would be any good. It's just flat and fast. The metrics for success appear to be that it doesn't involve multiple layers of decision making and spits out any answer that doesn't require thought. More or less optimized to suck if handling something the least bit complicated.
  3. That's the optimistic take. There are still plenty of stupid trades they could make with that remaining 1rst rounder.
  4. Something to be thankful for--we're not this UT.
  5. That's right. Mack certainly isn't winning any national titles at UNC, but I wish him a decent swan song.
  6. Potato love is a sad thing to see.
  7. Any idiot knows Mack, who achieved a lot with this program in his first 11 years, left depth chart problems. But any idiot also knows Charlie, who achieved jack shit with this program in 3 awful years, left depth chart problems and couldn't coach worth a damn. To fanatically cling to the idea that Charlie was a better coach at Texas than Mack is simply silly. If the choice is between Mack in is prime, all his flaws included, vs. Charlie in his prime, that pathetic blank death stare in yet another clusterfuck blowout included, any idiot would take Mack.
  8. Insightful words from Charlie in his postgame: "I thought I had everyone ready to play, and I guess I didn't." You think?
  9. Damn, that's eerie. We've all seen that look too many times.
  10. The cake is baked, dammit! It's just a really, really shitty cake cuz Charlie doesn't know how to cook. Anyone can just throw some ingredients in a bowl, mix them up and put them in the oven. But if you think anchovies, dirt and your latest dump are acceptable ingredients... Well, then you're Charlie.
  11. Ugh. Bad game bringing back bad memories. Who could have imagined when we hired him that Charlie would be in so completely over his head? It was depressing to watch then, and it's depressing to watch now. Can't help but feel a little bad for him getting repeatedly pantsed like this for everyone to see, more of a pity thing I suppose than actual sympathy. He really didn't have a clue we'd look so bad in that game at South Bend. The guy doesn't know what good looks like, which is one of the things you expect when you're paying a coach big money.
  12. Damn sorry to hear this. RIP Ced.
  13. Surely that's because everyone but him has messed up. Mike White cannot fail. He can only be failed by others.
  14. I guess it could sink, too. That should qualify as an underthrow.
  15. In the spirit of the day, that container ship should probably screw up and miss the Philippines.
  16. Hmm. Mike White looked just a tad stoppable tonight. On the plus side, however, not just anyone can complete 7 of 13 passes for 30 yards with only one interception. That's a whole 2.3 yards per attempt. Not to mention that a QB rating of 27.4 is often misunderstood.
  17. So, basically, your claim is that just about anyone, except for Dak, could get 12 wins with this roster, setting aside that one time Dak got 13.
  18. How much per hour will Mike White make stocking shelves at Home Depot? 12? Depends on what state he settles in when he washes out of football. But he'll damn sure be an unstoppable shelf stocking machine.
  19. Unstoppable, huh? Don't you think that's just a tad over the top?
  20. Exactly--who does give a shit? Neither team has much to be proud of from 2010-2018. A&M was marginally better because of the Johnny Football Heisman season and Texas' 3-year sinkhole with Charlie Strong (abetted by prior weak recruiting from Mack for those still butthurt that Charlie got fired). But no one with a brain would consider that an accomplishment.
  21. I wholeheartedly agree. If Dak goes down, we're toast.
  22. I think this is correct. Jerry only wants another ring if he can take credit for it. That's why he's still officially the GM. We're fortunate he's letting other people do much of the work anymore, but don't doubt that his big cancerous ego will still rise up and crush anything around him if he sees a real shot at self glorification.
  23. Yeah, it was a "tragic accident" only in the sense that complex and dangerous construction activities undertaken without properly established rules and supervision can easily become "tragic accidents." Honest people prefer the term "negligence."
  24. Sure you can. Just invent a transporter and have a malfunction like they did with Captain Kirk in that Star Trek episode.
