  1. "We are going Plan E, Plan E."
  2. "We are checking..."
  3. Absolutely. 20 year old me was so blown away by that scene that I left the theatre and immediately bought a ticket for the next showing just to see it again.
  4. That clip left out the best one. Spoilered for anyone who hasn't seen Clone Wars (Seriously... just watch Clone Wars; the payoff in final four episodes is incredible, and those two hours comprise the best SW content outside of ESB). Ray Park was brought back to choreograph and motion-capture the scenes.
  5. Saw these yesterday and had to pick up a bag. Unsurprisingly, they slammed and would rank as one of the better Cheddar chips I've had. Washed them down with some Brawndo.
  6. Do you like Clone Wars and Rebels? If so then you”ll like this. It’s clearly a Filoni show (after all he’s the creator and writer and it’s hitting all his themes so far) and, well, it’s basically Rebels S5. Andor has a different feel (no Jedi, Force, etc). Hayden Christensen is confirmed, so Anakin will appear at some point (I’d guess as a Force ghost). Is he a “key figure?” So far, I’d say inasmuch as his training friendship had a huge influence on Ahsoka.
  7. There's not much better in life than a properly smoked pork spare rib, and those look incredible, my good man.
  8. I’ve had a BBE since 2019 and really like it. Pros: * Built-in grinder. You won’t pay for a machine and then a grinder, and you can usually find one on sale. * The learning curve isn’t steep. My first lattes were, to my surprise, better than most coffee shops. You can pull good shots and make great tasting drinks pretty much straight away. * It makes great milk drinks. You won’t buy a latte or cappuccino unless it’s at the very best specialty coffee shops, because you can make better ones at home. Steaming and pouring milk took longer to get a grip on than pulling shots, but it isn’t too tricky. Cons: * The built-in grinder. The gap between steps can make truly dialing in a shot tricky. One setting will be too course but a step down will be too fine, so I’ll have to compensate with dose and or output. That really isn’t an issue if you’re making mainly milk drinks, as the steamed milk will coverup some shot imperfections, but it will be noticeable if you like drinking straight espresso. There’s a very good independent specialty coffee shop near my house that we’ll frequent often. I’ve got my cortados damn near their level and the wife thinks my lattes are at or better. Straight espresso? I can’t get there. * It comes with a 54mm portafilter instead of the 58mm on most other prosumer machines. Any accessories you buy for the BBE (baskets, tamp, distributor, portafilter funnel) won’t be usable if you later decide to upgrade to a different machine. All in all… it’s a very sold entry level machine that will get you into the world of espresso at an affordable price. It’s got some limitations, but I’ve had mine four years now and still love it.
  9. Four different constructors in the top 4 is pretty cool (even though they’re competing to stay within a minute of Max). That track, with all the banking, seems like it be a blast to drive. Max and Fernando in RBR… yeah that’d be entertaining.
  10. Absolutely. Summer vacation, snow days, or sick days all meant The Price is Right. Requiescant en pace, Bob. You were an absolute legend. And don’t forget to get your pets spayed neutered.
  11. One of these days we’re going to learn how finish an opponent. Not soon enough, though. Sitting back to try and see out a 10-man opponent? WTF?! We invited their equalizer.
  12. Hopefully this is the end of Partey @ RB
  13. Never understand why we go so passive. Should have kept the pressure on after taking the lead. Any opponent should blitz us in the first 1-2 minutes. We’re chronically asleep to start matches at home.
  14. Impact subs. Super. Mik. Arteta. Now ditch that dodgy new formation and go back to what wrecked the league last year. Foot down, boys. Sweep the leg. Fucking. End. This.
  15. Bout fucking time. Come on, You Gunners. We need Jesus…
  16. “Yeah, um, so what [Fuck]Mike Dean totally said we do…. We so totally do not! Trust us.”
  17. Tierney deserves to play, and I’m happy for him he’ll be able to, but this be hurts a bit. After his performance v West Brom in the snow a few years ago, I’d never have thought he’d be out of the side and moving away so soon. Wonder if we bring in another defender before the window closes, since we’re banking on Zinny and Tomi to stay healthy (both of whom don’t have the best history of staying healthy.
  18. Maybe back tomorrow; get some match time ahead of manUre on 9/3.
  19. So I guess the real point of VAR is to spare your fellow PGMOL buddies embarrassment when they totally fuck up a match. Mike Dean has admitted he failed to correct a mistake in a Chelsea v Tottenham match last season to prevent his friend Anthony Taylor receiving extra 'grief'. “I said to Anthony afterwards: ‘I just didn’t want to send you to the screen after what has gone on in the game.’ I didn’t want to send him up because he is a mate as well as a referee and I think I didn’t want to send him up because I didn’t want any more grief than he already had.” https://www.theguardian.com/football/2023/aug/25/mike-dean-admits-avoiding-var-call-to-spare-referee-more-grief-last-season
  20. Cafeteria at work; they serve ‘em up daily. Angioplasty on the side, literally (the cath lab is directly one floor down).
  21. The Kid: Hey Daddy. They’re having chicken fried steak sammich tomorrow, so you don’t have to pack my lunch. Me: Got it. Me today: Damn, a CFS sammich sure would be nice…. LTOJP, cheeps, a leftover WB Spicy Ketchup pack.
  22. Asked by Speedcafe as to why he dressed as Duffman, he replied: “Because the prize for the best costume was your weight in beer, and I really wanted to win the prize! “I was thinking about it, obviously being mainly an American crowd, so I went for The Simpsons and Duffman.” As to whether Duffman was his favourite character from the show, he said: “I would still go for Homer.” https://www.speedcafe.com/2023/08/24/bottas-explains-duffman-cycling-escapade/ Not just a legend, he’s a Total Fucking Legend.
