  1. I'd be onboard as well if it's an actual upgrade...not just coaching but recruiting as well, and recruiting doesn't seem to be an issue. I'm not informed enough to know who that may be, but if that coach exists and is available, I'm in.
  2. This is the real lesson. I guess it's ok if you don't plan on sitting down and avoid brushing against literally any surface.
  3. What kind of idiot brings up a year old post like that? Everyone forgot about it minutes after it was posted ffs.
  4. We've had tons of DB's the past 15 or so seasons who had ups and downs as Longhorns yet went on to either have decent or really good NFL careers. I think we just need 4-5 legit NFL talent players on the field at the same time, and our recruiting is beginning to produce that. NFL DB coaches don't have some magic formula that turns chickenshit into chicken salad.
  5. He won't be starting the season for an NFL team either. Not sure this is the best thing for JB since running backs are already devalued by the NFL and he won't be providing value right away to any team who drafts him. Having said that, hookem JB! Thanks for helping us to achieve what we did this year[emoji869]
  6. No idea, maybe because he hasnt declared yet? That would be huge if true..just hope it doesn't spark portal defections of depth we may need.
  7. I just brought up the Volleyball roster since I didnt remember which one she was... Jake should stay, and congrats young man!
  8. I just watched it again, you're correct. There were already two huskies on the ground wrestling for it (one keeping Blue down) by the time he realized the ball was loose. He did make an effort, it was just too late.
  9. The transfer thing was very short lived, seems like it didn't take much for Choice or Sark to get him down off the ledge. Seems like he wants to be a Longhorn and finish his career here, and after what I've seen the latter half of the season, (fumble issues aside) I'm ok with that. If he can hold off Baxter, Gibson and the other one coming in who's name escapes me then the dude has the chops to be RB1.
  10. The last part won't happen with Bo as his coach, explains a lot. Kid is probably gonna be shocked into reality no matter where he lands. To be clear, I wasn't upset at losing McKinley, just didn't make sense why it seemed he was looking for a reason to not come to Texas.
  11. Seems like anywhere but Texas, makes no sense. He and Bo have some sort of misunderstanding? Maybe Bo was tired the day McKinley visited and he mistook him for one of the jag DT's already on the team and told him "get out my face and hop in the motherfucker!"
  12. Still a thing, but not as big as it used to be with bagmen making a drop right before the ALL-star game and parents looking shocked and surprised when the "wrong" cap is chosen.
  13. Seems like a spat between jilted lovers. NTTAWWT. (Other than both being aggy)
  14. Yeah, that was very well done. Best of everything X![emoji869]
  15. Sooo jelly. Always wanted to be a Longhorn
  16. I can't think of a single coach/assistant I'd straight up trade them for, and that hasn't always been the case. The Elk is just getting whatever he can as quickly as he can...just like Charlie and Tom. Hell, even Sark didn't get it 100% right the first time, but to be fair he was kinda busy until the 3rd week of January '21.
  17. Don't forget they're supposed to break ground on aggy Disneyland soon, and I don't think all the funding for that is in yet.
  18. Until further notice I believe we already have the best. Bama, LSU and others would love to have Bo back rn.
  19. Hookem JWhitt, you gave everything you had every time you touched the field[emoji869]
  20. Wearing white shorts in the big easy is never a good idea, but at least you're immortalized on the internets now[emoji869]
  21. I think Cook's ball tracking and hands will make up for it, but he's not far behind X in the speed department.
  22. Don't forget winter workouts (striated glutes and forearms!) Spring practice and then the spring game. The real off season doesn't happen until the players go home for the summer...that's when it really sets in for me.[emoji85]
  23. The way I see it is they are good enough to beat us if we don't play a near perfect game, and that's exactly what happened...we made more mistakes than they did. I don't think they are a better team, they were just better Monday night.
  24. Exactly what this thread feels like. We won the gotdam conference on our way out (beating all the old Big 12 schools on our schedule) made it to the CFB playoffs and were within 10 seconds of playing for it all. Wanna talk about despondent? That's what I'd be if I were aggy today. Of course the information ministry will pump copious amounts of sunshine up aggy asses..things like "the Elk is a real football coach" "the S&C guy is bringing hell with him!" "The players we signed want to be aggy!" and shit like that...all similar to what we heard after Mack was shitcanned. The fact is we have a team that can compete in the SEC and have a stellar class coming in, many who will be here for spring ball. I'm disappointed in last night as well, but we're on the right track...and not a rollercoaster.
  25. Big10 crew does seem a little unfair, wonder if UW would have screamed if we got SEC refs? I guess ACC would have been the most impartial...unless we got an FSU grad/fan that blames us for taking the Noles playoff spot and not Bama.
