  1. None of this is surprising and as uou said, I don’t think you can take 18 to 22-year-olds and expect them to behave that much differently. I just think that there’s going to be some pretty quick spread that will be hard to put a cap on. Fortunately, the vast majority of these cases will be mild and students should get over it relatively quickly.
  2. This is likely happening on every campus with high density communal living. This and irresponsible off campus parties is where the spread will happen. Very little will happen in classes where students are directly monitored.
  3. It will be a looong time before Travis county gets that admit rolling average down that far. Good luck. It will take a big dip in 40+ population to achieve that. And do they differentiate those admited because of Covid vs those who happen to have Covid (e.g. asymptomatic pregant lady in labor)?
  4. Who on here is in charge of writing up the final “Surly Report” on solving the technicalities of this case? I’ll pick it up from Kinkos and mail it to the judge in Wisconsin if y’all chip in for stamps.
  5. So is this reservation system going to push people to the non reserved mountains? There was a complete CF last March as people ran to open mountains when some closed before the official mandate.
  6. Quite a film legacy in such a short amount of time and did much to further black actors as leading roles in film.
  7. Agree but my point is that conflict, in a looser sense, can happen without a counter group physically present. Violence anyways.
  8. So torched small businesses and high dollar merchandise are counter protesting?
  9. Thanks for the heads up. This really does suck if it doesn't work out. I am not entirely surprised given that we don't have timing on a vaccine but I would think by Spring Break we might and perhaps the resorts open back up more than planned.
  10. Well crap, this reinfection looks legit. We’ll see if this plays out on a widespread scale however. I figured it would take a few months to start seeing true second infections. Good news is that the patient is asymptomatic. Hong Kong reports first coronavirus reinfection “The information technology worker didn’t develop any symptoms from his second infection, which might indicate any “subsequent infections may be milder,” the researchers said.”
  11. Yeah she should wear a mask in that situation but that vector of transmission is not near the top of list in infectivity. It’s the birthday party in a 1200 sq ft house with 50 unmasked people including diabetics and cardiovascular diseased patients that makes me smh.
  12. We gotta run for shelter. Gotta run for shade.
  13. Zipper merge is best I get your sentiment but the zipper merge appears to be best. I’ve adapted by slowing my speed in the lane I’m merging from, turn on signal well ahead of time and ease in as the lane markers narrow. That way you don’t look like an ahole zooming to the front and forcing your way into the continuation lane.
  14. No. You pay into a risk pool and your insurance pays your doctor well after the fact. Usually 30-90 days after.
  15. The first time the beams fry someone....
