  1. You think if you gave him a 1000 guesses that he'd ever say that was the flag raising at Iwo Jima? You think he'd be able to tell you what ocean that's in? He does not know any history about this war unless someone tells him something. Remember when he said Jim Mattis was the closest thing to Patton since Patton? You think he could even tell you what command Patton had in WWII? Someone tells him a name and he runs with it. This is an insanely stupid human being. I wish the person in charge of the National WWII Museum's social media had used the Animal House meme from this thread to respond to our president that has an IQ south of 20. That would have been fantastic.
  2. I am never going to stop making fun of how this cretin looks. Every press conference he gives should have someone ask how he’s made it to 40 years old looking twice his age while being the butt of every single joke ever told in his vicinity. Someone should ask what his secret is on being able to absorb sunlight when it would fry his ancestors. Remember when this self-conscious coward realized how ugly and repulsive he is to almost all women and tried to spray on some hair? I do and he should be asked about that every moment he’s in public. He is ugly on the inside, ugly on the outside and if he were a fountain he’d just be spewing feces everywhere just like what happens every time he opens his mouth.
  3. Everything runs its course. How long? I do not know the answer anymore than anyone else. Will it get worse before it gets better? Yes, yes it will. Many of the immigrants we already have here are a resilient lot that has seen far worse than what is happening right now. They'll survive this stupidity, but the rebuild of international goodwill is something that could take decades.
  4. First thing on the agenda after this era of American apartheid ends is to deport every single person that works for ICE. Don't care if you are related to one of these ghouls. Deport them straight to Chad. Throw in a few million for Chad's government to get them some clothes for the Sahara and hand them a water bottle. Tell them they're on their own after that.
  5. I don't even have to bother asking her who her favorite character is from Christmas Vacation.
  6. None at all. When a soldier, sailor or airmen performed this in WWII they were almost all honorable deaths (notwithstanding some of the soldiers that killed civilians on Okinawa, Guam, etc.). These people have no shame, honor or anything related to that. We are governed by white trash and white trash adjacent like Rubio.
  7. Yeah the loss of tourist dollars is a really big hit to our economy, especially the service sector. TFG is an absolute clown show of regimented stupidity.
  8. We get just a blip of time here on this rock and then we're gone. Make a positive impact upon those you meet. Leave behind good memories for people and maybe some of them will wind up doing some good for others as well.
  9. None of this ultimately matters. It's entertainment and nothing more. It's entertainment that I love, but still it's just that. When the Lakers decide to start paying me to go to games to support the team like Ballmer did for one game for the Clips fans I'll care more, but until that time the NBA is just something to enjoy watching.
  10. Some of my professors for my masters degree I am doing right now run that museum and a lot of the lectures I watch are filmed there. One in particular has written 10 books on the Wehrmacht during the war. Much of his writing has to do with the brutal fighting of the Eastern Front.
  11. I guess we will see. Worst case scenario is this is 2-2 going back to Minnesota. The Wolves do not have a single guy outside of Edwards that can take over a game. The series is going to be a rock fight unless Curry returns. In a rock fight I like having two guys in Butler and Green that are used to playing that way.
  12. They’ll win this series. I knew the Lakers weren’t going to win against Minnesota. I’ll take the Dubs to win without Steph. It wouldn’t be the biggest series win of his career as the leader of a team. Yes everyone would love to see Curry and his ridiculous shot-making ability. Everyone would also like to see his unrivaled ability to run the offense overall out there. However, having a playoff-tested guy like Butler that can give you 40 plus minutes on the court where you don’t have to worry about effort is a priceless asset to have in this situation. They’ll win ugly, but a win is a win.
  13. Playoff Jimmy time now. There’s no player more fun to watch than Butler in a situation like this. Since war history is what I study I would look at Jimmy like this. If he had been a Marine at Guadalcanal he would’ve been a perimeter machine gunner against one of the IJA Banzai charges. He’d have survived, killed a couple of dozen Japanese during the charge and then went out with his bayonet looking for more. He is the single toughest player in the playoffs. Nothing has changed on that front since I said it back in 2020. Golden State got him for stuff like this. He mentally thrives in these situations. You’d much rather have a healthy Steph, but having Butler there to step in and lead the team is what every coach wants in this trying situation. I’ll take the Dubs to win this series even if Steph misses 3 or 4 games.
  14. Seen way too much of Playoff Jimmy. Until he loses 4 games in a series I will never count that dude out. I think he also never let go of animosity towards the Wolves franchise from when he was there. I would count on a pretty good 2nd half from him on both ends.
  15. Still got Jimmy on the roster. I would not wave the white flag just yet as long as he is healthy. Losing Steph sucks, but Butler is nails in situations like this.
  16. I cannot understand how he could garner even one player having that opinion of him. Do they not watch how he orchestrates things for Indiana? He’s fun to watch and easily one of the best players in the league right now.
  17. Well yes. My last class this semester I spent a good amount of time studying about the mentality of the average Russian over the last 80 years as well as the mentality of the Russian government/dictators in charge over the same span. To call Russia’s societal organization a mess is doing the word mess a disservice.
  18. There is a bit of a national history of pressing their foot on the pedal when they feel invulnerable to anything. We're watching one of those modern instances play out.
  19. Was watching part of the 2nd half. Jokic is going to murder this team the entire series. It’s what you expect from the world’s best basketball player.
  20. I nominally care, but if I am looking at the two of them I will choose Russ. That guy always, always, always brings it. When Durant abandoned ship he was still there trying to win. He makes some really ridiculous mistakes at times, but he’s never been called a quitter like Harden correctly has. Consistently disappearing game after big game when the lights are brightest makes me choose Russ. Also his quote recently about what his job in Denver is just makes me like him more. He’s there to F stuff up. His level of self-awareness about his shortcomings on the court also makes me enjoy watching him play. He talked about that after Game 7 I believe.
  21. I like Gainesville. I may have mentioned to you before that a friend's mother grew up there and went to Booker T. Washington when schools were still segregated. She left and had her daughter out in SoCal and raised her in Costa Mesa. I remember going up to Gainesville around 2002 or so for church at the CofC. The mom's family made dinner and I had the best fried chicken I have ever had from her brother. It was interesting family. It is former Gainesville basketball state champion JR Harrison's family. Very nice people.
  22. This take, much like anything Skip Bayless says, will not age well.
  23. Just shy of 815 million between the two. THAT’s an insane amount for those two clowns to have been paid while delivering nothing.
  24. Thanks for the update. He just completely went his own direction that makes very little sense. I hope for the sake of his family that he perhaps decides to get out of politics.
