  1. This seems right to me. A screen with blockers downfield. Murray then had 3 options: take it to the house, get within FG range and step out of bounds, or step out earlier and line up for the hail Mary. I like none of those options.
  2. Does anyone know what OU was trying to do on its next-to-last play? It's the one at about 41:20 in this video: OU had 9 seconds to score and was starting on its own 25. Murray lined up in the slot on the bottom of the screen. Backup QB Austin Kendall took the snap and bobbled it, basically killing the play. It looks like the pass is supposed to go to Murray, because when Murray crosses, he puts up his hands as if to say, "where is the ball?" Murray was open, hehad some room, and he had two blockers at the top of the screen. Thank goodness Kendall bobbled the snap. The last thing we needed in that situation was Murray in space. Frankly, I'm surprised no one called timeout when they lined up like that.
  3. The comparison to 2008 is a good one. The difference is that we did not play close games against lesser opponents in 2008; we blew them out by 6 possessions (anyone remember 52-10?). This year, we cannot seem to put together a dominant performance against anyone. And if we play every game close, then we'll lose some. I wholeheartedly agree that the fun factor this year is identical to 2008. We're back, or we're on the way back. 2019 and 2020 should be incredible.
  4. Did you see Kyler showcasing his freakishly long tongue for the media? What a strange dude.
  5. Yeah, similar feeling to Shipley's early return for TD in 2008, in that we responded where a response seemed to be critical. The difference was that this was an actual, planned, offensive series as opposed to special teams magic.
  6. Give credit to our defense. Brandon Jones's early interception shook Murray, and we had great coverage. In q2 and q3, there were plenty of times that Murray went back to pass and didn't have anywhere to go or was to scared of another pick to try.
  7. I was astonished at how bad Kentucky seemed to be. I had not watched them and did not know what to expect, but... How were they ranked at all, let alone in the top 15? Was this an unusually bad game for them?
  8. Yeah, that was really awkward. I couldn't tell if he didn't want to reveal his strategy? Bizarre non answer.
  9. Talk about an overcorrection. Probably somebody looking for clicks.
  10. I'm not sure what was worse, Kunt continuing to insult the Longhorns or Lincoln's smug answer ("Well we've been nationally relevant for a long time and will continue to be nationally relevant" or something like that)
  11. I'm thinking both of us are 10-15. Hopefully we're ahead. But it don't make a shit.
  12. Buncha pussies in this thread need to take their win.
  13. Some of the worst football I've seen in a long time. No discipline. Lousy fundamentals. What is this?
  14. Kyler played hard but came up short. He failed at the little things and didn't reach the heights he had anticipated. It's tough to see someone not measure up and end with a lowly performance. Pussy
  15. Kentucky looks awful. How the hell were they ranked at all, let alone top 15?
  16. Tell that to Art Briles. Edit: in case this reference is too obscure, I am of course talking about 2008, when we beat OU and had the same record as OU, yet OU went to the MNC ahead of us because, iirc, OU was ahead in the coaches poll thanks largely to Art Briles and a few others who put us ridiculously low. Someone correct me if I am misremembering the details.
