  1. A friend of mine was asking about differences in lume, so I took a quick photo of the watch box with what is currently sitting in there (there are 3 more off on the table next to it heh I need to sell some stuff). Figured yall might be alright with it too: Draken, Oris, Tudor, Seiko, Ball Bernhardt, Tag, Steinhart, Mido, G. Gerlach I like divers, what can I say? Pretty obvious which one I've been wearing for the last month or however long. Also the Ball tritium doesn't show up very well in a picture like this. Sitting next to an SKX, which could probably be used as a flashlight, doesn't help.
  2. Speaking of selling watches, has anyone ever used Crown & Caliber?
  3. It's like The Beastmaster, only.....different.
  4. They want to save the kids, not have the whole cave complex collapse on them.
  5. This is a four hour dive each way? Or four hours total? Either way: holy shit
  6. Klatt still doesn't know where he is.
  7. Excuse me, but Jerry Rice says that is much more valuable than all those things that come with being a pro athlete.
  8. Eh, I don't think you can really say the ones posted here are fake or counterfeit. Davosa, Squale, and Steinhart, which are the homage brands I've seen in this thread, aren't trying to say their watches are Rolexes, and they don't use Chinese...anything, I don't think...in them. They brand them accurately and use ETAs, which are Swiss made (Swatch group owns ETA) movements used by A LOT of brands. I'm not very familiar with Davosa, but Squale and Steinhart also have their own designs (you can see one of the original Squales from their 60 Atmos line up above, for example). I've got a fake...I think it was a fake Patek....that I picked up on a whim while I was in Korea to see what was in it. That shit was labeled up trying to pretend to be the real thing ($20 Patek lol). I've still got it laying around here somewhere, although I took the movement out to mess with it. Unmarked, but it has hacking and hand winding, which is interesting.
  9. The original dirty keyboard. And obligatory rolex homage for more homage...ness. E: This Steinhart is one of the ones I'm getting rid of. It still runs, although I can't say how accurate it is anymore, since I haven't worn it in a long time.
  10. Alright fine, I removed the science experiment photo. Here, it's daytime now, although kinda cloudy outside and kinda dark under the patio cover: These new ones are very tall, btw, I guess for the new movement. 14.8mm. I also sort of wish they kept the rose on the dial, but not really a big deal, since the shield is their actual logo, and the rose is on the crown still anyway.
  11. That looks to be mostly zoomed in dust and what happens to a 6 year old laptop that spends the night outside on the patio and gets booze spilled in it a lot. I shook it off cause I didn't want to touch that thing by CMD. Good as new-ish!
  12. That's a good looking watch. Original aspects combined with some classic stuff. I dig the lumed bezel. I had a hard time choosing between that and my Draken Tugela, but ended up going with the different looking indices.
  13. I got a Black Bay a couple weeks ago: Realized I hadn't posted it yet. I still have to get around to selling all those other watches I mentioned like a month ago. Lazy ass. My keyboard looks a lot dirtier when you look at it like that. E: What is that by CMD? I need to hose this thing off.
  14. Sounds like he just doesn't want to spend the day in Ohio. Makes sense to me.
  15. That dumbass aggy would take the whole team, and he knows it deep down, because that whole team is going to Omaha.
  16. Kilmer had throat cancer didn't he? I think that's why he lost all that weight.
  17. Super Hornets (and Hornets) definitely look cool imo, but those canted pylons really bother me sometimes... IIRC it was something about the wing + fuselage design causing weapon release problems, but they had advertised the extra hardpoints and the options (if keeping the extra wing pylons) were redesign the wing or cant the pylons and fuck yo range.
  18. I just wiped like 4 months of research the day before this guys NIH grant submission just so the laptop would properly display Japanese when you change the language. To be fair to me, I did straight up ask him if he had everything backed up before I took it, and he nodded and held up an external drive. Turns out that "backup" was from February, and it was just a language thing. He must have thought I was asking where I could back it up to, while I thought he understood that I was asking if it was backed up somewhere. The poor guy is really nice and I felt really fuckin bad about how he got that panicked look on his face and was just clicking around on his other computer desperately hoping the dates on the data would change. So...you know....sorry about cancer maybe not being cured for another few months or something. My bad.
  19. What the hell is going on in this thread?
  20. No two seater F-35, and it just wouldn't be Top Gun without the pilots and backseaters ripping their masks off to make cool comments to each other at every possible moment. (it's also a Super Hornet in the picture in the OP, so you're good to go)
  21. Well we know he was in Nam on the Oriskany, but in 1986 that could really just be getting him around "normal" retirement time, depending on when he was there and all that (65-73 is when wiki says Oriskany was there). Mav is (I think), pushing the mandatory retirement time for an O-6, although he could have gotten out for a while and flown for an airline like Iceman did. NBC made a short "Where are they now" type documentary that showed what LT Kasansky had been up to after getting out of the Navy the first time.
  22. Faltermeyer and Loggins are in for music too. Fucking. Awesome.
