  1. Oops. GT needs to regain composure here. Game is there to be had by either team.
  2. Although they eventually got around to it, this is a huge pet peeve of mine in general. Far too often when they could be showing a replay, instead the announcers jawbone or they interrupt with a stupid interview with a sideline reporter. I'd rather replays be shown as often as possible since the real-time camera views frequently leave a lot to be desired. Not just talking about controversial plays. Just run-of-the-mill plays.
  3. Definitely a subjective call, but I don't think it's really material to the game and not violent enough to hurt the punt receiver.
  4. Yeah. I wasn't sure if I missed the replay or if they didn't bother to.
  5. GT forced another 3rd and 8, and Vandy couldn't convert this time. Punt.
  6. Clutch 3rd down conversion by Vandy. Great play call. GT's defense isn't giving the yards away.
  7. GT got lucky with the loose ball. Settles for a FG. 14-13 Vanderbilt
  8. Didn't take GT long to get to the red zone.
  9. Heck of a catch by Rutherford.
  10. Vandy holds GT to a FG. 14-10 Vanderbilt
  11. And again for another loss. Vanderbilt D bowing up.
  12. King tackled for two yard loss.
  13. They brought in the QB transfer from Western Carolina earlier this week. I don't know why Hawkins would stay to compete for the backup job. But I also don't think he will have many starting jobs waiting for him elsewhere. He isn't very good. Yep - link: Oklahoma Sooners add another transfer portal quarterback

  16. Samuel Smith Oatmeal Stout
  17. These are hallaca (pronounced ah-yawk-uh) -- a traditional Venezuelan Christmas dish. They are made in a similar fashion to tamales, but don't taste anything like them. They are made by stuffing arena de pan spread on plaintain leaves with a mix of beef, pork, potatoes, carrots, green and red peppers, sweet peppers, onions, garlic, leeks, green onions, raisins, capers, green olives, aceite de achiote, and spices. The stuffing is cooked separately, then allowed to cool before putting it on the arena de pan which has been spread on the plaintain leaves, all of which is then wrapped and tied off to be boiled.
  18. Collins is not the only edge who got held in that game. So while we weren't called for holding all night, they certainly were getting away with a lot of it. While "letting them play" is often lauded as the way to go, I personally think you should call holds and PI's that are obvious and let the ticky tack stuff go as the right way to deal with it. At least we weren't getting jobbed though which could have cost us the game. I don't know if we held any or not in this game and as yet, have been unable to find a the full game posted on youtube. It's odd, because there are normally two or three different ones posted by this time. I also thought there were a number of short ball spots.
  19. I actually would prefer he have Arch play in each game but leave him in for more snaps. Just having him come in for a single snap I think is counterproductive. More snaps gives him an opportunity to get in rhythm and keeps him "warm" for the playoffs in the event he has to actually take the reigns due to an Ewers injury. Delicate balance to strike though. Enough snaps to be productive for Arch, but not so many you take Ewers out of rhythm either. But Sark may feel coming in for a single snap during the red zone is enough for that. Other thought is, Sark absolutely hates revealing too much film to opponents. He may have scripts and packages for Arch he doesn't want seen until it becomes necessary to uncork them.
  20. Rod Babers goes into detail about secondary struggles in this video. I've linked it to start at 15:09 and he finishes around the 25 minute mark. He's about as good as it gets for secondary analysis.
  21. Wasn't the only short spot either.
