  1. The biggest improvement on D this season is simply effort. Tackling is better and plays don't go for as many yards. That and Coburn and Sweat are playing better. Secondary is still too loose.
  2. Would like to have seen a replay on whether there was PI on JT. There was plenty of time to do it before the next play.
  3. Don't totally disagree on benching Ewers but think Sark was correct to give him some time to settle in. That last TD drive saw some successfull completions. If Ewers settles in, the game is still within reach. With our porous secondary, the offense simply can't sputter like it has and win the game.
  4. Players have to execute. Right now Texas is shooting themselves in the dick.
  5. OL has struggled with run blocking all season.
  6. Haven't read through the entire thread, but several of HEB's jarred pasta sauces are pretty darned good. I typically make my sauce from scratch but for convenience sake, I give them a thumbs up. They are nothing like Ragu's garbage. They have several flavors, but some I'd recommend are: HEB Marinara Pasta Sauce HEB Tomato & Basil Pasta Sauce HEB Garlic & Herb Pasta Sauce
  7. whataburger brass reads this thread. I posted this back in May. you’re welcome, everyone. Wolf Chili, like Whataburger, isn't what it once was.
  8. 100% this. In my experience, I'm lucky if one out of every four or five visits hits the mark, and that's at the "good" locations in DFW. When WB is on, it's on, but getting an "on" meal is becoming the rare exception these days. Case in point: my daughter used to love Whataburger. Three subpar burgers in a row from the locations that usually had their shit together has ruined it for her. Her last burger was so bad (cold patty, cheese coulda been straight outta the fridge, veg wilted) I went back and got a refund. Got attitude from kid acting as manager, but he eventually refunded. Thanks, Chicago. My recent experiences have been the same, but with less favorable odds. I simply haven't had a great burger from Whataburger in recent memory. They''ve been meh to subpar and frequently incorrect. My typical order is a double meat with cheese, mustard, lettuce and jalapenos with fries and ice tea. Occasionally, I'll add grilled onions to the burger.
  9. Bryce Young is an x-factor. Game would not have been close with him taking snaps.
  10. Would you settle for some sooner tears instead?
  11. It's two hairs past a freckle ... and OU still sucks 🤘🤘🤘
  12. After today ... Brent Venables feels like a kicked puppy.
  13. 16" half-n-half salami / pepperoni, onions, green pepper, mushrooms and jalapenos. Dough made in bread machine.
  14. 16" half-n-half salami / pepperoni, onions, green pepper, mushrooms and jalapenos. Dough made in bread machine.
  15. Yuengling Lager is better than Shiner Bock, IMHO. More flavor and character and especially with the way it was formerly priced. Shiner is almost always marketed as a premium product, including at stadiums and events. Yuengling on the east coast used to be priced with the big macro brews. Tried Yuengling Traditional Lager last night. Pretty good. Wouldn't say it is better than Shiner Premium but not an apples to apples comparison since Shiner Premium is a pilsner and Yeungling a red lager. Depends which type you're in the mood for, but I'm a fan of Shiner Premium. Been a long time since I've had Shiner Bock. I'd like to try Yuengling's Golden Pilsner but haven't seen it in stores ... only seen the traditional lager and their light. A little off-topic for this thread but also tried Founders Porter last night ... excellent. I've only tried two IPAs ever. One was from Shiner a few years back from their sampler 6-pack and I really liked it. But I'm not sure it's the same as any of the IPAs they currently offer. None of their current IPA names/labels looked familiar and just can't remember the one I tried. The second was Saint Arnold Art Car IPA ... it was awful. Tasted like grapefruit and I hate grapefruit. Their Amber Ale on the other hand, gets a thumbs up.
