I bet there are some pictures of menus with prices on them in yelp. My favorite is the Kansas City strip (ny strip bone in) which I want to say is $50-60.
  2. You guys are spoiled. We drove in from Temple for the show. I saw Mumford at Austin 360 a few years ago and remember not liking the venue. However after going to a show at Stubbs and being packed together with some 6’4” dudes blocking my view the whole time, I liked the seats. Someone gave us pit tickets, so we alternated between the seats and the pit.

We generally end up at Bob’s. Call me cheap but I like the fact that they don’t charge me $9 for some mashed potatoes. I like the atmosphere better there compared to Flemings. Except when it was the circuit of America’s race weekend and there were a lot of foreigners with their toddlers there. It’ll take you about 20 minutes to get used to the minimal lighting they have in Bobs.
  4. Did you get a look at the set list and know what they cut? Seems like you got a good view of Matt
  5. I took my teenage daughter (no pics) to the show last night. She’s really into Alvvays and I’ve liked The National since I saw their music video for Mistaken for Strangers. So it was cool for both of us. We were disappointed that Alvvays only got 6 songs but we had a good time. I was surprised Matt interacted with the audience so much. We were in the seats on the aisle and he climbed the guardrail right beside us. I think I’ve converted my daughter into a fan. Any idea deal why you think the ticket sales were so slow? It was kind of sparse in the seats.
  6. I like your About time selection. I told my wife that’s a movie I probably need to watch at least once a year. I’m tempted to watch some of the others on your list that I haven’t seen because you like about time.
  7. I’ll look into ringside. Is there anything worthwhile close to the convention center? Looks like most of the cool stuff is in the west side of the river
  8. Thanks for the info. If I park in lot b or d, is it walkable or is that a shuttle ride as well?
  9. We’ve been using the Marriott and Southwest cards for awhile but the Marriott rewards have been diluted quite a bit now. Would like to go to Asia next summer, so Southwest isn’t helping me out too much there. Any cards that could get me there in rewards quickly?
  10. Headed to portland for work conference in October. Any steakhouse recs (not sure if the wife is in for the strip club one)?
  11. Maybe someone can help me out as well with Austin 360. I guess the tickets I bought say parking included but i didn’t know that before I bought a lot b and d parking pass. The ticket just says parking included and doesn’t mention which lot. Anyone know where it would be? It also says crown royal access? Does that mean I can hang out there or just go in for food/beverages?
  12. anyone going to The National and Alvvays on Tuesday? I’ve liked The National for awhile but just never though they’d be a great live band. However the tickets seem plentiful and cheap so thought I’d check it out. I like Alvvays as well and saw them at the Scoot inn last year. A lot more of a pop type sound then I normally like but they do it well.
  13. I’ve had a few issues lately as well. Same deal running through unlocator. Weird thing is the Roku is having trouble but my Apple TV 3 works with the same dns settings.
  14. Anyone else catch Vampire Weekend at ACL? I thought they put on a great show. They played about 2.5 hours. Ezra Koenig wore shorts and some air maxes. Looked like he might go for a run after the show.
  15. We survived the bike tour. It was about 3 miles of riding on a small road to the Ghost Block tasting room where we spent 60 minutes. Then just another mile or so ride to Saddleback vineyards for another tasting. Then another 5-6 miles on a super busy road back to the bike shop. I doubt I would do it again. I think it cost $125 and didn’t include the tasting fees. The guide was great and nice but there were 12 in our group. So not an nice intimate ride in a peaceful quiet setting. We had great weather and good company though.
  16. Well, you guys haven’t provided much hope about the bike tour. It’s Saturday 9-2:30, so I’ll keep you updated.
  17. We are accompanying some other couples to Napa and they want to do a bike tour. Has anyone done one of those? I am not really into wine and have no idea what to expect.
