  1. bro do you not MS Paint? Also, I think when they put plumbing in the kitchen floor, then you are also supposed to put in heated flooring.
  2. A - hard to change the system when the highest profile player (touches the ball 1/2 of the snaps, +\- special teams) gets way overpaid, but every team without a headline starter wants to have one so they grasp (IMO head liners are Mahomey, Lamar, Allen - close, or used to be, JoeCool, Hurt, ... well you get the idea), and Jerry likes to pay to create the illusion his players are great. Jerry's ego is part of the problem. sidenote - running backs have gotten screwed in recent years, at least contract wise B) Brock Purdy is getting fucked over, but it is why the 9ers can spend on other players; look back to when Russ was good early at Seattle. It is hard to be patient and develop a QB, props to the Packers for doing it with that psycho AA-ron, and maybe with Jordan Love. Too many times highly drafted/paid QB's are not given time to develop or adapt to the pro game. C) As much as I have been tired of the years of shit that has been the Lion, I have to give them credit for getting great value in swapping Stafford for Goff and a bunch of picks, those picks and Goff playing well are the reason they won the division (first time in about 25 years) and a playoff game (2nd time in 65 years). Those trades don't come around often, and too many times teams are too attached to the player or salary cap that may take a couple of years to clear.
  3. In general I like the quality and selection of items better at Costco, use their travel services (mainly for rental cars) and have used the link to Zurich for life insurance. Sam's feels exactly like what is is - an extension of Wal-Mart, locally the one closest to my work closed years ago, so now it is further away and part of a retail property with too much traffic. Costco return policy is the best, I didn't know what to get tWife so I went to Costco and spent more than I should have on Ipad, kitchen counter, top appliances, couple other seasonal items, and she said it was too much .... so returned it was. Win/Win Also - there is another option, BJ's Warehouse opened a location less than 2 miles from my house, and it is smaller and seems the brands I like, but their gas is inexpensive, not quite a low a Costco with the credit card rebate, but It isn't worth it to drive 15 miles to get gas. I wouldn't stop at a BJ's, as I'd rather go to a grocery, or somewhere else for electronics, etc
  4. Maybe you should try an winter race - guy I used to work with has done this one for about the last decade, I thought you'd have to be a little crazy to do it on purpose. Just check and he is registered to do it again in a couple of weeks. https://www.exploreminnesota.com/event/arrowhead-ultra-135-race/9786
  5. Could you even handle the double championship this year? That is a lot of t-shirts & hats to buy. Is your entire wardrobe blue? And don't get carried away quite yet - having 2 playoff wins in the last 66 years is not quite yet a dynasty; I mean there is a lot of shitory (anagrammed history) over all those years, but everyone keeps telling me this is the year, I hope they are right. FWIW, IMO the Packers could do the Leo's a big favor and win again next weekend. Go Honolulu Blue!
  6. @immamac - thread title should read - "Jim Harbaugh still loves flirting with the NFL" TIA
  7. My kids suck And I'm not paying for another channel that I don't really watch
  8. I didn't even read the fucking post & I started laughing - the best of Austin City Council and the Holy Grail
  9. On a side note, I just thought of this as it relates to planes, what ever was found out about the large puts/shorts made on airlines shortly before 9-11?
  10. That really doesn't count, that is just a dusting. Now ice or the better part of a foot today and a forecast total of 15+ that we are forecast to get through Sunday; along with 20 mph winds gusting to 40+, well that sounds a little chilly, wind chilly that is, to me.
  11. At least is isn't snowing, one of my kids moved there in 2021 and the snow storm a couple of years ago mostly locked down the city. Had to wait for it to melt, if I remember that took 2-3 of living through a slushy mess.
  12. I thought we had determined that those 2 things were not directly correlated, I mean I'd love to see a graph of UUUU stock price with the spot price of Uranium, and what the price of U was the last time(s) that 4U was at $7.70
  13. So is this going to be like when Desert Shield suddenly became Desert Storm, or did we just want to send a message and now they hope the shit gets back to "normal" (which it won't) Or is Operation Prosperity Guardian now swinging into Operation Kick Ass and Take Names
  14. actually found a juicier write up of Mr Wynzzard Darrell Wiggins, sounds like some of the Enron boys followed his lead; going to titty bars and tipping his favorite entertainers https://content.time.com/time/subscriber/article/0,33009,954807-1,00.html for some reason this shit fascinates me - maybe I should make my next life/career change to do fraud audits
  15. It is actually easier that you might think. When I was a young, wet behind the ears auditor, I was working with a small father & son firm and the dad was a former FBI agent and he loved to tell stories. He laughed at some of our audit techniques, like sending out confirmations; then he told us about a Sr. Bank VP who created a bunch of interbank loans that were not on the banks books, and the confirms used to come to that guy for signatures. I don't remember all the details, but it was enough to make me think I didn't want to audit banks, or other financial institutions. and google is an amazing machine - found a story about it. I mean $17 million in 1980 is like real money today (almost $65 mil - again according to google) https://www.upi.com/Archives/1981/08/18/A-former-Allied-Bank-of-Texas-vice-president-pleaded/1242366955200/
  16. I have to think that all AD's, who are worth anything, have a working list for every coach at the school as to who is the immediate interim coach if something happens to the Head coach, and another list of who they want to talk to as a full time replacement if needed. I'd love to see the list leaked related to replacing $t Nick And 'Bama has to do this somewhat on the downlow as it will look really bad to publicly be turned down by 1 or more coaches. (hell look what happened when Luke Fickell turned down MSU, they made stretch hire in Mel Tucker, extended the stretch by his contract extension after year 2, and got caught with their dick in their hand when they had to fire him) - wait...wut?
  17. I've always said that you could only trust up the point that I could steal enough to buy my own island, easy answer was 9 digits. One time, the bank rolled over an overnight investment at the company I was controller at, and the $1.2 million was miskeyed at $120 million (someone moved the decimal two places). Sadly they had corrected it before I even knew it happened; I heard there is a small island in the Caribbean that is nice this time of year, I miss that island.

  19. Couple of years ago, due to an enlarged prostate, I reached a point where I could not pee. It isn't really painful, but the discomfort grows as time goes by, and 5 hours later when the urologist office finally could see me they got me catheterized and collected over a liter of urine (+/- how much spilled in the process) 2 best days of my life that year were, in order: a) the day I got the catheter in and the pressure relieved b) the day (about 2 weeks later, after surgery) when I got the catheter removed I will say that you learn to live with it - I went to work, went to a college football game, somewhat normal life stuff - you just have to remember to empty the bag every time you can. now back to talking about cancer and not enlarged prostates (which tested negative for the big C) and catheters.
  20. FYI - the airframe that lost its plug was delivered in October. I'm not saying there isn't ongoing maintenance requirements, but don't pretend this was a plane with thousands and thousands of hours on it.
  21. First world problems
  22. TIL, many people think it is a bolt tightening error, completely missing the importance of the bolt tightening inspectors
  23. Hypothetically (asking for a friend) - if you were flying into Seattle this summer would you exclude Alaska Air and favor Delta (both offer direct/non-stop flights), or would you assume that 5-6 months out Boeing & AA will get this shit figured out? Using wiki as a source: Alaska Air - 66 of 231 aircraft are 737 Maxx (all but 1 being Maxx 9's) Delta - 0 of 978 aircraft are 737 Maxx (though the do have 100 Maxx 10's on order) I would fly Southwest for the free luggage - but I don't really want to see Midway, DIA, Sky Harbor or Harry Reid along the way
