  1. The defense never shut down the run, from beginning to end, despite trying to. That's a recipe for a loss all day every day. I'm angry at the offense too, specifically the O line and receivers, but I've always been pessimistic about where we were gonna be offensively this year anyway. Bitching about which QB to play when they've both been neck and neck all camp is asinine seeing where we really lost this game. We want to play and defend in space. Arky made this game about constant impact, hard and constant whether on the attack or on the defense. We didn't have the makeup for this type of game and the coaches just found that out. If we keep butting our heads against the wall for the rest of the season I'll get on the Sark sucks train but not right now after seeing tonight
  2. So we score quickly with Casey if he connects those deep shots. Congrats we're still getting worked on the ground. And that's probably the last deep shot look we'll get
  3. What I'm trying to say is the coaches didn't roll over, they just learned the hard way what their own team is made of, seeing them against a confident opponent that saw what we did against Ulala and attacked the way we gave up yards on the ground vs a midmajor. The problems start when coaches react to hardships poorly and the team never recovers the rest of the season. Tune in next week
  4. The linemen and backers got physically worn down. Not a surprise, the past regime built the roster to compete against the B12 offense and this staff wants to play like the roster is up to par with defending a blocking oriented play style. Get over the QBs, Casey wouldn't have won the game for us. The defensive roster got worked and we never have a shot winning vs 350 rushing yards
  5. The Casey should starts reactionaries gotta keep in mind every last damn QB that comes in late against a prevent D riding an insurmountable lead while their O is running the ball AT WILL... Is going to score some trash points. This is a data point for Casey to glean little if anything from
  6. Real lack of talent on D. Be real and think about Jacoby Jones, Luke Brockermeyer, David Gbenda, Brendan Schooler, BJ Foster, Anthony Cook...and how integral their positions are to what the DC wants to do. Think about those players and try to imagine why playing a Line that is all 300+ that ISNT FAT, with big receivers that love to block. Way too many weak spots for a decent game plan with balanced personnel to exploit. OTOH, how do you get on track vs a strong line and good linebackers, when you have CJones, Okafor, Angilau playing like little pussies, while counting on green receivers. Whittington just can't be your #1 guy. He's a Swiss army guy to use creatively while your main WRs draw attention. This team this year is in full rebuild
  7. C Jones needs to be dropped stat. The "he just needs a good coach to develop" crowd has ignored the apparent truth that he simply doesn't like to get aggressive. Being soft inside and out isn't a coachable trait
  8. Gaoteote looks slower than Brockermeyer.
  9. I'm seriously looking forward to Aaronson drinking some milk one of these days
  10. I wouldn't wait. He, Sands, and Adams have been among the poorest out there tonight
  11. But can we all agree he will generate some buzz?
  12. But will he show out?
  13. Like I said earlier, he should look into a lacrosse school
  14. Plus one for Wingzup, although I still cannot say there's a definitive best wing place. For all that Wingzup gets right with the actual chicken, some of the sauces and dips at Pluckers have no equal. They also have mediocre service for those ornery individuals that make that their number one criteria at a sports bar
  15. That ball delivery system was hilarious
  16. Imagine with a stadium full of Italians... God I love Italy
  17. That's how you take a PK
  18. We're putting out some real shit first touches in OT
  19. 100% should be second yellow. All commentary agrees
  20. If nothing else, a putting a yellow on Mexico's creative heart and soul is a positive step. Shame he's had all day to roam and link up play left, right, forward, backward and into next week
  21. I wonder why Brooks, McKenzie, Steffen and Kellyn Fn Acosta touching the ball 2/3rds of the half with the occasional blast up to Sargent results in your best players getting the ball almost exclusively off of turnovers and then in Pulisics case, getting baited into forcing the worst of his possible outlets? Herman making good players look completely lost was a hallmark of his time at Texas. Sound familiar?
  22. Getting mauled tactically yet again. GGG needs to go before he costs us qualification
  23. Sargent has a real knack for keeping the ball out of the back of the net, for better or worse On the flip side, great time for Jordan to get confidence with the national team. Gonna need it for the final
  24. Xhaka, Zakaria, Akanji took control away from the center of the field early in the 2nd half and neutered any creativity from the US players from that point on. No adjustment from Berhalter to speak of.
