  1. Feeling better about our WR takes now
  2. Guess that means he's going to Baylor
  3. Hear you loud and clear. Maddening thing is hundreds of millions of masks could be kept for the cost of just ONE F-35 or B-2/B-21, never mind a carrier group.
  4. You would be pretty safe with that rationale if the stay at home policies endured the remainder of 2020 or until a vaccine is trialed successfully and scaled by the billions. I don't see people keeping their distance that long. I think it's naive to believe I won't catch it. I just want to make sure the healthcare system hasn't collapsed whenever I or my loved ones do become infected, just in case I or they suffer complications
  5. When this is over, might just want to keep that enforced for the state of LA indefinitely
  6. I'm sure you're aware of the suggestion to stay away from Ibuprofen and other NSAIDs
  7. There's also little Boeing can do to increase revenue. They won't just bounce back on earnings or market share. This is about as bad a 2 year stretch for any corporation ever, they're the 2000s AMD of aerospace
  8. It's interesting how focus has shifted in the general discussion to what other countries did or didn't do. Like somehow that paints the current picture in the US any differently. If no CR is to be enforced, I vote for no nationalism / patriotism, since that is an equally slippery slope as partisan criticism when having productive, logical discourse
  9. What the fuck is LB Brands doing up 40%? Bailouts for shitty retail brands now too?
  10. After spending the morning mixing it up at the farmers market
  11. There were about a tenth or less than the usual amount of kids and parents out over the weekend. More groups of younger white guys playing volleyball and frisbee at the splash pad park
  12. Distant acquaintance just posted an Instagram story of her husband's COVID19 experience. He is about 35 years old, give or take. From pictures I would say he's maybe 15 pounds overweight, if even that. Apparently he has been with symptoms for going on 18 days, and has not yet fully recovered. He visited several docs and went to the ER twice, due to difficulty breathing. Testing was denied for obscure reasons and it wasn't until the pneumonia diagnosis that they were finally granted a COVID test, despite testing negative for the gamut of strep, flu, etc. He tested positive for covid and his wife was notified only a day or two ago. In normal times, he would definitely be admitted under hospital care, as it's pretty severe. They live in Round Rock. He will likely make it into the recovered statistic, eventually. It's simply tenuous at best to look at statistics as a snapshot in time, considering this virus can easily take a full month or more through exposure, incubation, and symptomatic duration. It clearly hits hard, and it hits some for a LONG time. Substance abuse, from alcohol to smoking of any kind, is 100% ruled out in his case. That I can say with certainty.
  13. Watched it again today. Best of the virus outbreak genre imo
  14. Social distancing is of utmost importance in slowing the spread of the virus. It will spread regardless, but keeping it as much at bay as possible to allow medical facilities to keep up is the key. If the WHO is correct in stating 20% of cases in China needed hospital assisted breathing for up to 2 weeks, the suggestions that covid is simply another addition to the common cold is laughable. Sure, im 29 and not too concerned for myself, but fuck I'm glad sxsw is cancelled. Large gatherings like that are the very first things that need to be put on hold when new, as yet not fully understood diseases appear.
  15. Let's never ever ask Derrick Harris to backpedal, kthx
  16. No one deserves to feel entitled, and making excuses for entitlement is pathetic. Both Herman and Blake kind of deserve each other honestly. Welcome to hell, boys
  17. Objectively, you're wrong. You need both. What I'm saying is there's absolutely no point in complaining about Valai as a developer of talent when he's clearly the "young, high energy, culturally/demographically relatable" part of the equation. Ash is the other side of the equation (that's the idea at least)
  18. He's also young, and hired on the basis of having good chemistry with Chris Ash. Trying too hard is to be expected for most guys in a position like that. All we really need is for him to drive the armored truck and drop the bags off.
  19. Imo, Taulia was a poor take by Bama and won't be much of an obstacle for Bryce Young
