  1. I didn't see this posted yet - come get your trophies, team! 3... 2... 1... next!
  2. How it started: How it’s going:
  3. Why buy one, aggy? Softball was invented in 1887… just retroactively declare aggy as national champion for some years long ago that no one remembers, and put it on the stadium! Instant championships!
  4. RE: Pitcher quality in the Tennessee-Nebraska series From a softball perspective, sure, it might be a great series. But the average viewer isn't going to know anything about the pitchers of these teams. It's not like either of them have a Caitlin Clark-type hyped player. For network, you'd need something to catch the casual viewer. It's hard to grab viewers with a 7-seed vs unseeded matchup. Every other matchup has conference vs conference rivalry interest or seeded vs seeded quality except for this one and Oregon-Liberty, and even Oregon-Liberty has the giant-killer Cinderella angle. What's the angle for this game? That the pitchers from these non-rival and non-top-ranked schools are so good that there might be almost no runs scored? I don't see how that makes any casual channel flipper stop on this game. And I could easily see that as a reason it got bumped to ESPN2.
  5. So ABC wanted to show one of the exciting super regional matchups, but then they found out they got Tennessee-Nebraska...
  6. I used to watch late action on HBO when I was young:
  7. AGGIE SOFTBALL GOES DOWN IN FLAMES I need this headline somewhere!
  8. It took us all the way until our first year in the SEC to end with a better conference record (22-8) than any Texas A&M baseball team has since they joined the SEC a dozen years ago (best: 20-10 in 2016).
  9. Missouri conference baseball 2025:
  10. We didn't know last June at the time of this post (Schlossnagle hired by Texas), but yes... yes, you COULD script it better! Wait til you see what happens!
  11. I’m pretty sure Earley didn’t give us two weeks’ notice when he resigned to explore his skill at another job. I don’t think he’s eligible to be rehired by the company.

  13. Aggy at 13-14. Their 14th loss last year was on June 23rd in the CWS final series, when they lost their first game to Tenn. They can still match last year's record - they just have to go 40-1 for the rest of their schedule.

  15. Are we assuming it stays as the same name? What if I still live here, but the felon has issued an executive order renaming it the American Americas of America? Is that a ‘no’ to sill living in the US? Or a yes?
