  1. Pretty sure that the Lynnwood extension opens August 30.
  2. My wife just yelled from the kitchen that the power was out, the toaster and the coffee maker don't work. She had to yell so that the dryer that was running in the laundry didn't drown out her response.
  3. The original Hitching Post out in the boonies...Casmalia. Used to be the only decent restaurant back in the day...was a hangout for the NASA boys blasting stuff off out of Vandenberg.
  4. No confusion, I know where Grindelwald is, I've been staying there for half a century. I tend not to be there during the high season.
  5. You've made good choices....Wengen has more options quality restaurant and room wise, but if you're using it as a base, it's remoteness up there translates into more travel time per day, same with Murren. But if your exploring means hiking, Wengen would be fine. Lauterbrunnen is a nice place to sit on a patio, drink bier, and watch waterfalls, but being in the canyon pales in comparison to being up above. Either of the to 'upper' towns are unworldly beautiful...you might find yourself content to just soak up the beauty...it's breathtaking up there. Grindelwald is also nice, a bit more sleepy than the others. Hotel Gletschergarten there is one of my favorite places to stay, sitting on the balcony in the morning looking at the Eiger, eating pastry from the good bakery right across the street. The cemetery across the street, towards town has many gravesites of climbers who have died in the nearby heights...it's worth the look. The train runs to Grindelwald, not so the others. You will love the area.
  6. Yeah...once you deduct the cost of the Sub-Zero, you've got about enough for the paint.
  7. Point taken.....but given the shitshow that has been UCLA football, I'll take it. Chip Kelly left a pretty low bar when he snuck out the back door.
  8. VIA Rail 'Canadian' between Vancouver B.C. and Toronto, best train in North America. Five (I think) different levels of service. Stay in the Rockies for a couple of days, then catch the next train, whichever way you're heading.
  9. 165 indicated on A8 returning my GT4 to the factory from Munich for its trip home. After legally doing 165, the car was flat boring in California.
  10. I had 8 unisaws (4 left, 4 right) for my business, but the powermatics were the workers favorites. Having said that, I kept a pair of unisaws when I retired.
  11. Wrong....my BIL on the El Segundo force is voting Biden
  12. If you're really using a truck for it's intended use, and I realize about 4% of buyers are, then the more sidewall the better. The look on the sales manager's face when I asked to trade for 2" smaller wheels was unforgettable. But what he did forget was to swap the spare, too. Realized that when I got back home, 850 miles later.
  13. They ware included in the transportation sector.
  14. Probably should've brushed his teeth a bit more.....
