  1. Otis was a very good boy. Cooper, his successor, is off of the charts. Worth the drive to Wisconsin and back.
  2. Usually travel with the dog....hotels have upped the $20 nightly dog fee to $40 or more. The maids, who obviously have more work due to the dog hair, don't see a penny of this, so I leave a tenner for each nights stay.
  3. Yes, they definitely take care of each other....never know who's going to be looking for a job, or who's going to be hiring, season to season. Or in UCLA's case, week to week.
  4. Strong rumors Foster and the AD are out....given UCLA's indifference to football, I am skeptical. 20+ year season ticket holder
  5. Ref's posture reminds me of Richard Nixon....yes, I am an old.
  6. Seems odd to me that they were cutting in to grenades. I guess it was bad to assume that they were inert?
  7. Death on wheels...the crush zone is beyond the other side of the vehicle.
  8. Glad you're having a great trip....weather has been beautiful. It's a redemption for our wintervgreyness. Last winter was unseasonably cold....eight days below 30 degrees, at the beach. A lot of us lost our oysters due to the freeze.
  9. Ummm..what's CFA?
  10. Space Needle just opened a new elevator.... two story, all glass that was part of the original design but didn't get built due to cost. A private party sponsored the build, it has reduced the wait times significantly.
  11. Not true... It's listed on the Directv guide as "WEC endurance racing", all 24 hours of it. Also, the WEC race @ CoTA will be shown on Motor Trend TV live.
  12. Laguna Seca was nice, beautiful weather, great restaurants. One of The JDC mechanics took our group of four into the garage and spent an hour explaining the intricacies of the 962...it was an amazing, insightful experience that really made the weekend. Thanks, Jeremy! Oh, I'm pretty sure that Le Mans in on Motor Trend TV.
  13. 1971 with Gijs van Lennap. 13 cars finished. My first Le Mans.
  14. Massive, massive party school...seriously. Not uncommon to get too F'dup and fall off the bluff down to the beach below. And the others around you are to phased to notice. Seriously.
