  1. I used to live in Midtown 6 or 7 years ago and it was nice for going downtown to hit bars with friends, or riding out to NRG or UH or the Museum District. It's really a shame that Shitmire has been fucking all our public transit up so badly.
  2. Have you not seen the video (not my recording, from the interwebs)? ICE is lying. A person live streamed the whole fucking incident. They attacked her, not sure how you can spin it any other way cyf5tsir97tf1DASH_480.mp4
  3. Imo, the failure of the Democrats to hold banks and financers accountable for the 2008 financial crisis is the original sin. They broke the social contract with their voters in favor of sucking their donors dicks. The Dems sowed the seeds of discontent and trumpism by truly giving them a REAL "both sides" argument
  4. This is all tracking pretty closely to the timeline Germany followed when they failed to punish and hold accountable their fascist populist. It isn't going to a fun or happy place.
  5. Ya know, maybe he should get a goddamn OC
  6. it remains to be seen, but 2010 was pretty fucking bad
  7. https://www.house.gov/the-house-explained/the-legislative-process "All Legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives." (Article I, Section 1, of the United States Constitution) How Are Laws Made? Laws begin as ideas. First, a representative sponsors a bill. The bill is then assigned to a committee for study. If released by the committee, the bill is put on a calendar to be voted on, debated or amended. If the bill passes by simple majority (218 of 435), the bill moves to the Senate. In the Senate, the bill is assigned to another committee and, if released, debated and voted on. Again, a simple majority (51 of 100) passes the bill. Finally, a conference committee made of House and Senate members works out any differences between the House and Senate versions of the bill. The resulting bill returns to the House and Senate for final approval. The Government Publishing Office prints the revised bill in a process called enrolling. The President has 10 days to sign or veto the enrolled bill.
  8. Just circling back on this - I am not enjoying the historic levels of hype
  9. Guys, cut incredulity some slack. He still is trying to work out if unlegislated taxes (tariffs) are happening or not, and if they have an impact on inflation. He can't be bothered to understand that you need a simple majority to pass something in the Senate, and that the VP is the tiebreaker
  10. Wrong thread
  11. No, but it's an extremely effective way to shut down discussion by claiming anyone who advocates for some market regulations is really a SOCIALIST(!!!!!)
  12. Arch seems like he sucks, and we'll be lucky to go 8-4. Between OU, Vandy, UGA, and Aggy I have a hard time seeing us any of those as a win with our current level of play. Not to mention any of the other crappy SEC teams eager to notch a win against Texas
  13. > Posts AI slop as a source for his position > Claims to not be dumb as shit
  14. There was an old Thujone comic of an o-line man in bed with a lady that kept coming prematurely - I wish I could find that evergreen frame
  15. For all his ills and creepy behavior, Case McCoy at least beat the land thieves and aggy
  16. https://www.wbez.org/immigration/2025/10/04/federal-agents-shoot-woman-they-say-boxed-in-authorities-in-brighton-park A woman was assaulted by ICE vehicles and boxed in and SHOT and left to die. ICE claims she drove herself to the hospital, Chicago FD said they had to rescue her and take her to the ER for her gunshot wound. The woman had been maintaining a list of ICE agents and their activities, and they tried to fucking assassinate her for it.
  17. I mean, a dog shit college QB being paid more than QB'S on Sunday is already pretty fucking bad. Thank you, next.
  18. This team reminds me of 2010 and Garrett Gilbert. Loads of promise and zero fucking delivery
  19. I mean, it's not like the president has a great history with Puerto Rico, it's not a shock his administration is treating them like literal second class citizens
  20. Bro do you even MBA? Worrying about actual outcomes is for pussies who don't get bonuses for cost cutting
  21. There was other contemporaneous reporting and interviews of unclothed children being ripped from parents arms and handcuffed without a shirt, pants, or shoes on. I don't think it's fake - they're doing a slow motion Kristallnacht in every town ICE targets
