  1. Nevermind that Ted Cruz campaigned for a political opponent who called him and his wife ugly (lolz), perpetuated conspiracy theories about him and his family, AND Ted still supports trump vocally. Yeah, I'm sure a DUI from 20 years ago that Beto has fully owned up to and has meaningfully changed his behavior to ensure it never happens again is gonna sink him. Although the GOP really shouldn't start bringing up the past with respect to candidates because Trump's past is ugly. Bigly.

  2. haha.  that's all the Left has focused upon is the negative while spewing hatred and division.

Not even a "both sides" on spreading hate and division. Just the left is doing it, huh? Sorry your raider rash on the brain hasn't cleared up yet.

Your father sounds like a good man, but I fear he would be horribly embarrassed by his son’s Internet tantrum.

But still deserves to be treated like a criminal and have his birthright citizenship thrown into question just because his skin is brown though, right? Just trying to make sure I'm understanding your stated position here.

getting way the fuck in front of where we are currently, I how much of it is static friction of democrat votes in Texas being pointless.  If we elect a D to the senate, is there some meaningful percentage of Texan voters who begin showing up to the polls on a regular basis who did not previously?

I mean, folks are starting to get "papers please"-ed just because they have different color skin. I think some new voters are getting mobilized.

Did some consulting for DISA a few years back. I was sitting in a room with some of their folks going over some data for network forensics. One guy points out a bunch of lines and asks "what is that?"  I explained it was an attempted SQL injection. He asks more questions, I explain the concept of a SQL injection. He then asks for an explanation of the SQL statements we were looking at. I  explain and then say, "your a network engineer and probably unfamiliar with this stuff." He corrects me and says, "No, I am a DBA not a network engineer."

I looked like this upon hearing he was a DBA while asking about rudimentary SQL statements.

Most large, older, non-tech companies are full to the brim with people like this. It's honestly pretty astounding how many olds are pulling down $150k+ salaries while knowing fuck all about modern standards, practices, and risks.

As I said in the NFL Offseason thread, if I were a non QB player, I might support a salary cap on the QB position. 20% of the current salary cap to 1 player is extreme, particularly in a sport with a 53 man roster.

I understand that from an overall roster view, but a QB genuinely has so much impact on a team's success, marketability, longevity, etc, that I don't think it's THAT unreasonable for them to pull down such a large piece of the pie.

That gnarly old gnome from Dallas screwed it for 3rd parties 26 year ago.

Hillary & The Donald have screwed both their parties, which is not a bad thing MO. Too bad the Left & the Right refuse to wake up and shitcan their establishment furniture though.

100% agreed. However, the dems are showing signs of life what with recent developments in the Florida gubernatorial race. Truly, they just need leaders that are willing to accept that their time in charge has come to an end. Pelosi et al need to let a new generation hold the reins. As for the GOP, I don't even know if they'll survive this or if they'll go the way of the whigs.

Do you mean an actual person calling in?  So just random uninformed dipshits with bullshit stories are essentially making US stances and policies??

..oh wait..Why am I even questioning this..of course they are.

No, daily caller as in the right wing rag lol. It was founded by Tucker Carlson, which is about all you need to know. They aren't real big on facts over there.

I'm guessing that the top IT guys at Facebook are making about 5x that of the top Government IT guys. Funny how smart, competent people tend to flock to higher paying jobs.

There's also a genuine issue in the government tech sector in that it's really hard to find good programmers who don't/never have smoked weed or taken other drugs. FBI and NSA are massively understaffed because of that, and definitely contributes to our nation's overall dogshit stance on cybersecurity.

One takeaway from all this is Hillary’s private server appears to be more secure than the government’s or the DNC’s.

shit man, most public infrastructure is less secure than your fucking facebook account. Police bodycams, public works, voting systems, pretty much every important system that should be more secured, isnt.

  11. Real talk though, my AMZN $2400 11/16 call is going gangbusters today. It's been fun using small-potatoes options plays to take advantage of speculative plays without too much up-front capital. It's been pretty much all of my significant growth lately, since the majority of my portfolio is index funds and a couple individual stocks that I've been following

But wasn't the trial moved out of EDVA at the request and insistence of Manafort's counsel citing standing issues? I'd imagine that would make the judge much less likely to entertain this request lol

My degenerate Las Vegas style trading account is riddled with tickers in the portfolio that end in 'Q' - as mentioned above it would cost more to sell them than what they are worth.  Thankfully I understand I can't trade / invest for shit and use that particular account for "entertainment purposes" only.  Only the most vile, toxic waste pieces of shit are bought and I'll dabble in the 3x leveraged ETFs from time to time as well.

The real retirement account is safely locked away where I just put a set amount into a stock index fund every month and forget about it.

Ah yes, but what about options on 3x leveraged ETFs? That's some galaxy-brain level stuff
