A public records request sent to the Louisiana State Police has uncovered something disturbing. Although the LSP continues to refuse to release the document in question, it appears this law enforcement agency has been using a bogus list of supposed Antifa members compiled by 8chan users to keep tabs on Americans opposed to Trump.

Nike dip - opportunity or catching a falling knife?

    Surly, what say ye?

I'd by slightly OTM call(s) for nike that's at least a few months off. Should be able to buy on a discount, then sell them for a tidy profit when it bounces back up from its little tumble today. I dunno if I'd try to catch the knife with buying shares.

This is embarrassing for the GOP.

What are you talking about? Calling protesters insolent for demanding transparency while suppressing 90% of a nominee's documents is a SUPER good look. Along with pimping the nominee's book during an opening statement. Good fucking lord lol

. . . and there's that little hiccup where Kavanaugh apparently lied under oath to the Senate Judiciary Committee when he was up for a federal judgeship.

I mean, if perjury is such a big deal and all.  Otherwise, no biggie.

So you're saying he's attorney general material?

Personally I think a President and his aides do have executive privilege to some extent.    This gets dicey when the privilege is currently being extended to 2 Presidents ago as in this situation.

At the end of the day, we should always lean in favor of transparency over secrecy.  Therefore if the administration wants to exert a claim of executive privilege, they need to prove it and their word isn't enough.    However the documents are all a charade for both sides.

I disagree, the documents are an important issue and this is the first time that the judiciary committee has seen such a small percentage of a nominee's overall work. They're a useful and important heuristic for measuring how a candidate will behave on the bench.

Legit question from a citizen uninformed on this matter, is there any reasonable explanation for the withholding of Kavanaugh's documents?

The GOP is  claiming executive privilege (without the president ACTUALLY invoking it) and that it would undermine that ability of future presidential aides to give candid advice and counsel (or councel/council/covfefe). Which is horseshit considering by Kavanaugh's own admission was the most formative years of his career. And the senate judiciary committee has seen about 10% of his total record.

The WH released 42,000 documents yesterday afternoon regarding Kavanaugh.  Grassley said the majority side of the Senate has completed their review of the documents.

    Very productive.

The dems noted that it was "a little over 7000 documents per hour. Very impressive."
