  1. It’s also a good test for the Senate, which I completely expect them to fail.
  2. You know what makes this worse?
  3. This would have never happened to Diane Feinstein.
  4. Broadcasting Fox News in military base public spaces for 20+ years looks to be paying off for all the wrong people.
  5. So this guy I know, we’ll call him Steve, that used to work for the military and traveled around the world quite frequently told me of an interaction he had with some older Germans on train in the 1960s… These Germans tried to claim that they had no idea Hitler would be such a monster when they voted for him, and they pleaded ignorance. Steve claims he immediately dressed them down telling them that was complete and utter horseshit. They knew exactly what they were voting for and got exactly what they deserved in the end. I think about this story a lot with the Trump people that have been given every opportunity imaginable to come to their senses and not support Trump. I guarantee almost every one of them will go to their graves thinking president Kamala Harris would have been worse and proud of their Trump vote. “The Democrats made me vote for fascists” isn’t going to hold up like they think it will when they encounter a Steve on the train one day.
  6. The pundits have caught on to the Jade Helm irony
  7. The whole party needs massive reform away from entrenched power. I don’t see it happening and I tend to agree that any Obama-like candidate would mostly end up as fool’s gold in the end. We’re clearly headed towards some form of a revolution regardless, but it could still be many decades down the road if the best leaders Dems can nominate are Bidens and Newsoms.
  8. McConnell was one of the only Republicans to vote against confirming Pete Hegseth. Mitch is still evil but I’m mildly amused at him basically getting Pete to confess that he has no real agency as SecDef under Trump.
  9. Trump might not be a good leader but he’s somehow one of the best and dumbest criminals in American History.
  10. If anyone in San Antonio likes local improv comedy for mature audiences, I recommend going to see “Holding Pattern” at the Blind Tiger comedy club this Saturday at 10PM. tickets are $13 in advance. https://blindtigercomedy.club/events/5bc448ce-a826-4733-a229-884745bfa701 It’s a great date night option too… it’s a small venue with a full bar upstairs. Anyway, I know a guy in this troupe and I thought I’d pass the word along. You’ll laugh your ass off. thanks for supporting local comedy /threadjack
  11. Ironically, this is kinda like Jade Helm, except real.
  12. Basically Spetsnaz
  13. Situations outside of armed rebellion that should require 700 active Marines on American soil? this is getting gross
  14. Brain dead stupid is kind of America’s thing now. I mean the Republicans have run a guy three times in a row that publicly reveres Hannibal Lecter, a fictitious psychopathic serial killer. Without a serious reform candidate with an inspiring vision, the opposition party (Dems) will merely be prolonging this fascist nightmare. Like, go ahead and nominate a Joe Biden again, see how far that gets us.
  15. The problem is there are tens of thousands of Zeuses around the Internet posting on social media (possibly in good faith) and even more people that take them seriously. It’s exactly how we got here.
  16. Wanted to make sure this makes the top of page 2.
  17. Trump himself doesn’t exactly have a well articulated “vision” for the country… for him, it’s more of a one-day-at-a-time, wake up and see how many fights he can pick, what can he get away with, and how can he make a fast buck off this shit. He’s the pinnacle of white trash.
  18. It’s been a good match
