  1. I got it last week. 10 more sleeps until I start drinking again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. It is good. And they have a Cask Strength that I want as well.
  3. "People question his ability to jump right into a head coaching job and putting the right 11 guys on the field, but like Josh said, did Jesus Christ have any experience before choosing his 12 apostles? That blew Jack and I away. So yeah, that's the reason for signing him to a lifetime contract."
  4. wow. Co-DC. Looks like Coach K really wanted to team up with Choate
  5. The Montana State fans replying to the news on Twitter seem to be pretty devastated.
  6. We are gonna fake punt on third downs and score at will.
  7. Jeff Choate is an angel sent straight from heaven.
  8. Ah, Jonathan Larsen. Haven't thought about him in a while. As someone who followed Buttigieg's presidential run more than most, let me elaborate. Larsen is an "investigative reporter" for The Young Turks. His sole assignment - for almost a year - was to try and dig up dirt on Pete. He made countless trips to South Bend, spoke only to people that disliked Pete, and wrote tons and tons of articles with questionable sourcing. Everything was a total hit piece. All you need to know is there wasn't another reputable journalist/reporter that took Larsen's work seriously.
  9. I'll keep harping on this until the season starts, but there is a huge difference between Herman and Sark. Herman had nothing but success at Ohio State and UH. He came to Austin as an arrogant know-it-all, acting like he knew the exact recipe for championship success. He didn't face much adversity until he started coaching at Texas, and he had a rocky 4 years here. Sark had a dream job at USC and it was taken away from him. He hit bottom and had to climb back up. He knows what it's like to fail hard. Some will look at that as a weakness, but I like the idea of a HC who knows what it's like to lose everything. I expect he'll coach with a sense of urgency and won't take it for granted. We're already seeing it with his staff hires. That's a mentality we need after a decade of shit football.
  10. DRAIN THE SWAMP! He ran this country like a comic book villain for 4 years. Lex Luthor without the brains.
  11. I'm not complaining. It was actually very helpful. 14 years ago solidified that this was a terrible franchise with pathetic ownership, and I decided to never take it seriously again. Nothing since has made them look better. And if they have to trade DeShaun Watson, y'all should all ask for your money back.
  12. This is bullshit. Yes, VY might have flamed out quickly in Houston. But we don't know that. The organization had the opportunity to make an Earl Campbell-like draft pick and passed to select a combine warrior. If VY didn't work out for the Texans, fans wouldn't have blamed the front office for making the pick. It was a no-lose situation and they fucked it up.
  13. Excellent sleuthing from Surly posters, and great scoop by TFB. Goddamn it feels good to have a HC who knows how to put together a staff.
  14. The "I've heard a new DC candidate no one has previously mentioned but I can't say who it is" is the ultimate $9.95 grift.
  15. I've been saying for at least a decade that some rich asshole needs to buy the team from the McNairs (an offer that couldn't be refused), meet with Bud Adams (now dead, so his daughter) and buy the rights back to the Oilers name/brand, then retire the Texans franchise and re-introduce a brand new Houston Oilers (but with Columbia blue and same jerseys/helmets, obviously). Then turn Reliant into a parking lot and spend a billion remodeling the Dome. Probably will take $4-5 billion to make it all happen. Let's find someone.
  16. I think Loesch was doing commercial work at one point. EDIT: here's a clip
