  1. This thread has been fantastic today. Thanks to all who have contributed and keep it going.
  2. You know what IS going well for Mexico? Avocados!
  3. Bad_teammate completely owned JS1 and reduced him for all to see, for what he is, a troll. I'm here for it. All of it.
  4. Sold CLOV at $20 after having got in at $10 so I'm not mad about it.
  5. exactly. To the previous point, I'm becoming more and more of a Kamala fan the more she regresses to her DA median. Sue me, I guess.
  6. Impressive! She is a pretty straight shooter, I like that.
  7. Still hasn't went above where I sold at so not sure what I would be mad about I was saying this is me; it's kinda just bubbling at a meager gain, just waiting to pop and I'm getting restless.
  8. Maybe it's more of a habit or culture that was formed in 2020 during the scariest times of COVID-19, when nobody went out and if you wanted take-out food instead of home cooking for the billionth time in a row, you outsourced the infection risk to the poor and laid off people who had to take the, at the time unknown risks, to serve others.
  9. I think this is why one of the founders of Facebook or something like that, his new start-up is in ghost kitchens and servicing the need to cook, prep and deliver a variety of foodstuffs, like a warehouse or logistics hub, because this will continue to be a big thing. But then I also remember hearing that grubhub, etc. were struggling to turn a profit.
  10. I actually have sporks in my silverware that are metal. They are awesome. Got them at Macy's years ago and can never find them again.
  11. Got it in; total wait time was 7 weeks. edit to add: have only ridden it once ugh
  12. That’s lazy. That’s like asking me and then me saying: 1) Any Republican that gets the nomination 2) End of list. I would vote for Yang or a Howard Schultz type D only. I would not vote for Biden no matter the opponent though would be fine living with him until 2028 if he remains ineffective and not willing to break glass.
  13. You might not know this, but I voted for Trump in 2020. Hence the list and not knowing that maybe why it would seem absurd to you and why you thought I was trolling you.
  14. Ah, jokes on me. I fell for it and took the bait, you guys are actually trolling me.
  15. What does your list look like?
  16. What does y'alls list look like so I can call y'all trolls for disagreeing then. Let's hear it.
  17. Had never seen it before, but caught Charlie's Angels (2000). This is a who's who of the year 2000: Bill Murray, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Lucy Liu, Matt LeBlanc, Sam Rockwell, Tim Curry, Luke Wilson, Tom Green(!!!lol) and Crispin Glover(remember the early aught weird attempts to make him a thing with a rat movie?). Very cheesy, very bad, very suggestive, and very much a movie people probably cringe at nowadays if you are of a certain persuasion.
  18. I am the opposite here. Don't like a lot of his movies but this trailer grabbed me. Kind of has a Stephen King's Thinner vibe to it, which I never saw. Was that good or well received?
  19. I don't have a favorite personality or person, but more of a persona. From the probable choices, maybe it looks like: 1) Ron DeSantis 2) Rand Paul 3) Andrew Yang 4) Nikki Haley 5) Joe Biden 6) The Rock 7) Kanye West 8. Caitlyn Jenner In that order?
  20. Yea what in the world does anti-growth actually mean, in policy or stance for a city?
  21. I rarely use these for all the reasons mentioned already, and if your food experience/pleasure is going to be materially contingent on a custom change, forget about it. Even if it's as simple as "no pickles" or "extra ranch" or whatever, it will likely fail. You have to be happy with the off the menu configuration and set your bar there. That said, the one time I used UberEats that was great. I used to have to spend 2 weeks a month in Nashville consulting on a project and I'd always stay in the Vanderbilt area, far west down Broadway as I have a lot of friends there and it's cheaper than The Gulch. As some of you might know, Hattie B's Nashville Hot Chicken was super trendy and having a moment back in 2017-2020-- millennials/gen-z Nashvillians could not get enough of this stuff and I liked it too. The lines were impossibly long and it was annoying, so I'd go off-hours, but one time for dinner I had a real hankering. The line was around the block to get in, and I saw it on UberEats. I ordered my chicken and not 15 minutes later I met the driver in the parking lot of the Marriot across the street where I could see the line had moved maybe 3-4 people.
