  1. It's not a playing field. It's a battlefield. The Dems have been bested over and over for nearly ten years. We may disagree about their eptitude in this struggle, but we see the things a political party does in this environment are not the answer to the anti-republic movement. The re-election of a hateful, despicable felon demagogue by a vast majority of the active and acquiescent indicates that turning to the same old political party system as a means of persuading that majority through snappier messaging is folly. I think it's insightful that so few of us will say, "I'm a proud democrat" while the GOPs have followers whose entire identity is being a GOP. The latter of those positions has pulled political solutions off the table at least for the moment. There is no winning political response. We now hope for implosion. Our tactics become Fabian; stay together and see what turns up. For now, we're beaten. We'll need to devise new appoaches while in retreat lest losing is to become our constant fate.
  2. Nice to have a few to just laugh at.
  3. An exaggerated laugh might be quite good, actually. Arch? Can we go don't ask don't tell on this?

I finally got off my dead ass and did at least something. I just signed on with GLAAD with a small monthly contribution. I'll get more out of this than the organization. I'm not just sitting around writing posts for people who agree with me (don't get me wrong, I love doing it), I've done a little something that will likely lead to other little somethings. I'm not virtue signalling. I'm not making much of a sacrifice, but my name is on something at least. Feels really good. GLAAD
  5. And the Americans generally accept all of it tamely.
  6. They have no real winning moves at the moment, but silence is not an option in the face of this fuckwad tyrant. Betrayor might be a more apt word. He is betraying everyone including his blind followers. Yea, go with traitor. Do something.
  7. They are everywhere in every stratum. It was stunning discovering this. I'm truly confounded. I guess it's a disastrous combination of hate and indifference. It occurs to me that both of those usually indicate narrow minds. Idiot World Ascendant
  8. Say what you will about the Boomers, but a whole hell of a lot of them would have filled the streets around just about every university in the country in response to this. I'm not criticizing younger generations, I'm truly curious about why it's so different now. Distraction? Poor civics education? All the Boomers that support Trump have switched sides regarding the Kent State killings. Yay National Guard! In his grave, Nixon smirks and wonders why he couldn't have taken these steps.
  9. And keep the message simple and pointed. Trump policies amount to big Good luck! Trump started a trade war. Good luck paying more for everything! Trump made a tax cut. Good luck if you're not a billionaire! Trump gutted the control towers at your airport. Good luck flying! Trump destroyed the FBI. Good luck if somebody kidnaps your child! Trump let's anybody put whatever they want in your water. Good luck if you get thirsty! copyright.2025 by RomaVicta
  10. Sickening. A photo from the NYT: Destruction in Jabaliya, in the northern Gaza Strip, in January. I had to lean in when I saw the photo because I didn't know what I was looking at. Then you see the skeletons of burnt and hollowed out buildings. Israel drops a 1000 pound bomb on an apartment building because they say Hamas fighters were there. This is what you get. This is also what Israel wants. This is a repulsive image of a mercilessly carried out plan to displace people from their homes forever. I guess where I see ruin, Donald Trump sees resort opportunities.
  11. How many chickens do you see? Longhorns (and most other people): None Aggies: Three!!!!
  12. I don't have the means to move. I chose a path of high risk high reward; risk won. My beloved's children and their families live in Dallas and Central Texas is as far as she wants to be from them. I love them, but I'd opt for northern Mexico or somewhere in the Spanish speaking part of the New World. I've been teaching myself and now using Babbel to learn the language sort of as a hobby.
  13. I think the real story here is the alien spacecraft hovering near the ground. It's not photoshopped because look at the shadows. I did my research, and discovered a sighting of a huge version of this spaceship flying over the Amazon rainforest This was posted by an ex-Marine fighter pilot. You can see the Amazon in the top left corner. It's blurry because the UFO was flying so fast. They've come because they want to steal President Trump to rule their world. God will not let this happen!
  14. This has nothing to do with savings. Unchain the oligarchs! Block the voice of science. Chaos is a new ladder for people already at the top of the current ladder.
  15. I can't find the right emoji to rep that, but I surely get it. The fates of these people are absolutely nothing to me.
  16. A whine post about tu resurfaced on TexAgs from 12/1. Opening post was about how we ruined their SEC play and they need to escape us for good. The usual BLAH. A few posts amused as they pertain to baseball. Somebody chose integration as the starting point for proving how average tu is since "the early 1970s." That notion was stomped and Sgt Barry Saddler steps up to remind us... Fightin' Aggies from the sky, claim they're Army, and we ask why?
  17. Dang! Don't know how I missed that.
  18. I think allowing Russia to (further) undermine faith in our institutions or certainty about what is true fits with the strategy of ending the republic for good. The American oligarchs can use the Russians while blaming the Dems whom they have effectively labeled as socialists. That's enough for the voters. We may achieve maximum irony of "Trump is the only man who can protect us from the Russians!"
  19. The American republic's perfect epitaph. Oh, how they'll laugh. At least the survivors.
  20. Death covenant. It's truly difficult to conclude otherwise. Every policy below points to a covenant among the safe oligarchs to thin the herd: exacerbating global warming deregulating food safety halting vaccination ending USAID to promote famine ending AIDS control medications to children abroad My brother told me this was a plan 20 years ago. I think he heard it on InfoWars. My brother had been right on some other out-there ideas, but I dismissed this outright. I also find it difficult not to conclude that opening the door for Russian is part of the strategy of the fascists. Let the Russians further undermine faith in our systems. What do we care who paves the way to tyranny? (It's so weird to use those words in serious conversation, but I can think of none more apt.) The Russians approaching fired federal workers is great for the rabid right. "See, they were traitors all along! Their talking to the Russians and Chinese! That's why they love the ebil socialist dems!" As they allow Russia free rein, they convince the idiots that somebody else is. Trump took over the hate engine and now the oligarchs have taken over him. I'm sure it wasn't difficult. Trump probably thinks it was his idea.
