  1. This made me laugh out loud. The sphinctoid mouth repeated on so many huge (relative to the humans) images for some reason raises a fair notion for a cartoon to something really funny and apt.
  2. Let me know if this is getting tiresome. You're off to a difficult start, Olin, but you're an old pro. Let's see your sunshine pump from the koolaid stand. Okay, I admire your swing for the fences here. Sports statistics lie and deceive. A guy averaging 10 tackles a game and .5 sacks might not really be doing that. Lyin' stats, man. But Olin isn't talking about those kinds of statistics. Man, you're going to go all Perry Mason on these fucking stats when you prove that Tyler Onyedim actually did manage a sack last season! I can't wait to see you plunge in the dagger. Take this, Stats, you villain! It gets better and better! Onyedim was playing out of position even though it was his position! Now, how many sacks did he have, Olin? I'm breathless! Okay, but you started out talking about lying stats. Okay, now deliver the kill shot. You're not applying lipstick to a hog, you're blowing the whole notion of statistics being meaningful out of the water! You magnificent bastard! So, still no sacks in 2024 and only 3 prior to that. You're losing me, Olin. I thought your whole point was to prove the stats wrong and Onyedim to be a solid pass rusher. What have you to say about that now? That's a good thing because statistics suggest that he sucks at it. Stats are kicking your ass, Olin. You try hyping an Iowa State wide-body to rustle the jimmies. I deal in hope. Fair point, Olin. Well, that's disturbing.
  3. Good Lord that was mind numbing. What? About four original posts (they've appeared in hundreds of other threads, so not truly original) that are repeated over and over.
  4. I rewrote the post to make it clearer. You're right about the lesson. Our best candidates are generally not white men except the exceptional Dem possibility who is gay. Brilliant and accomplished, but gay. With my usual record concerning political outcomes, I thought Kamala was so fresh and her team made such an obviously winning, positive statement that she couldn't lose. Darkness and cruelty and NFL politics win again. Total defeat. Now it becomes a rout.
  5. After the pussy hat demonstration very early in Trump's first term, I felt strongly that women would put him out of office. Yet, every move against women's rights and status went unanswered. I admit, I was stunned at the number of interviews with women last year repeating the mantra that we are not "yet" ready for female president. I don't know that it's self-loathing because that would suggest real thought about it. I think it's the tradition of subservience now backed by loud psuedo-Christians. The liberation of women is difficult if they don't feel enslaved. In the hinterlands, you do what the preacher's account of what God wants demand that you do. How someone decides about their role in their family is none of my business. Replacing independent thinking citizens from the polity with ditto heads thoughtlessly echoing the vote of a man does concern me. There's nothing I can do about it. It's a free country where a person can choose not to be truly free. It's sorta shattering.
  6. He said on paper. Paper! Not the field. We need to have a spy in the Cotton Bowl all September to make sure they aren't changing the surface!
  7. It's what they do in DoubleThink Station. They also warned of our toxins wafting across Dixie and eroding the purity of SEC essence. We are t.u. Destroyer of Conferences! Only Aggies see us for what we are. We zombified Sankey to do our bidding. Next, we voo-dooed the entire country outside of College Station and Katy so they couldn't detect what a horrible fate this was for the SEC. The voo-doo worked so well that most see the move as good for the SEC. The Aggies face the fate of the prophetess Cassandra. Always right, but no one believed her.
  8. If what he describes is true about the golf cart rednecks, I assumed it had some basis in reality thus it seems to be only an observation. It's very visual. It doesn't seem to be politically slanted. If there were a large gathering of Black people whose vehicles flew BLM banners, it's just an observation to say you saw them. FTR: I agree strongly with keeping the different board category content contained.
  9. Will the Smithsonian be able to get the putrid brown skid mark off the Constitution? Should we change the name of the White House to The House of the Rising Sun? Have McDonalds on the Trump Veranda where the Rose Garden used to be! Here, you're a celebrity! Grab the help by the pussy! You can do anything you want! We have a dedicated gropery in the Epstein Maxwell Lounge. Ghislaine will treat you right! For a $100k donation to the re-established Trump Charity of New York, you can watch a cabinet member kowtow to your favorite president on closed circuit TV. For a $million, you can sit in the Oval Office and watch in person! All that risk, sacrifice, and work. We can now be sure people can't return from the grave. Washington would have been the first to walk past the secretary and into the Oval Office. He'd close and lock the door. LBJ, Lincoln, TR, Ike, Sam Adams. Any of them and there are more. This is my odd fantasy. Trump cuffed around the room until he's on the floor full fetal with fluids erupting from every terrified orifice. Alas. I'd rather the republic be destroyed by Yellowstone volcano blowing up than this pathetic shit slide. It's late. I'm getting worked up, again. Detach. Detach. Detach.
  10. Handed? We're either number 2 or number 3 of the above or a combination thereof.
  11. You fucking idiot... ...you still don't get how it works. Love the ridicule. You fucking idiot... ...you don't care about them either, regardless of what you call yourself. It's why you voted for Trump. You fucking idiots... ...you're fucking idiots.
  12. Football players aren't looking for a good place to raise their kids. They will live in a fabulous bubble wherever they go. Other aspects of location etc. may play a part but not a large one IMHO.
  13. He should've already been hanged.
  14. If you can fake being military, faking being manly should be a snap. And, yells on tours? Tough choice when your options are such elite universities. Valedictorian? 1 Same exact phrase is used everytime this comes up. I mean to the syllable. 2 Not necessarily related to opening paragraph.
  15. It's so amusing how when we point out that their song is all about us, they say "well, you say goodbye to Texas A&M" as though it's equivalent. Hell, they've got choreography.
  16. Again, I compliment your foresight years ago in seeing this so clearly. As a white man, I think I had blinders to much of the evidence. I saw the same results, but I did not see this iron cable running through the sequences leading to those results. An Indigenous Peoples' History of the United States remains the best book I've read in the last ten years. It reveals through quoting official documents from the time exactly what our strategy was. She also discussing how a state could make a treaty with an indigenous people which would be violated by "settlers" who antagonized the natives until conflict erupted and the state came to their aid. She shows other examples of this outside of North America and you see it today with the West Bank. Anyway, I digress. It's horrible watching allusions to Scotch on the Ledge become...well, what it's becoming.
  17. It's exactly that fucking bad. It will take a new, powerful political movement to even start the reversal, IMHO. A lot of the movement would have to be fat, comfortable white people. So far, we ain't done much. My beloved is of like mind, but we're now in a small community where she's made friends. They don't talk politics. There are Trump flags on our country road. I thought of putting out a Mexican flag to show some welcome to all the latinos who may be frightened. It would likely be alienating to some friends of hers, so no move. I'm torn about this. I must find a public avenue to at least try to scratch up the monster that's devouring our free world.
  18. I remember exactly where I was when I overheard someone say Vince was leaving. Big man's area of Dillards. Looking at a belt. Anguish.
  19. This is like a push poll. Or like, "is Derek Cooper going to prison?" I'm not on a jihad. I won't post anymore about this. It's just an observation.
  20. I have no idea how this running back makes his decisions, but it occurs to me that there is a big difference in the A&M and Texas running strategy. Go to A&M and become a feature back, and you'll get a lot of carries and, if their line actually improves over the next few years, a lot of yards grounding and pounding. I can see the appeal in that. Come to Texas and you will likely not get as large a number of touches or yards, but you will be more likely to make spectacular plays set up by our run-pass strategy. Also appealing. I wonder if I'm hitting on any reality with this consideration.
  21. Just showing up and asking questions without even trying to verify on your own first is very TexAggy. Not saying you're an Aggie or a troll, but that's the level where those two posts are.
  22. That's Taliban type shit right there. Recall the stupid reasoning for fighting "terror" was because they hated freedom according to the genius W. Bush? We're no longer about freedom and liberty. The polls posted by @C-Man are revolting. I'm not 50. Such horrible irony that he is being literal. Pundits and paper will not grasp the biggest story in their lives, they will nibble at the edges and congratulate their efforts at fatal contrarianism. Yes, you dumb, big-picture-missing motherfucker, D.C. does have a serious crime problem. It is home to the biggest most heinous crime the republic will likely ever know. Send the Army to the White House is you want to stop it. Purge the agencies of their appointees. Or you can take make a show of being open-minded by counting the number of post-grads fellating each other on the head of a pin. Tell me what the data shows. This republic is failed by every big player. The lower courts tried, but we see how that ends up.
