  1. At least we know he can escape the block and get himself open.
  2. Better version: broke.mp4.733f749bf560cbf3fabe75144ac8d6bd.mp4
  3. People on IT jumping all over the new commitment Gerry mentioned likely being Payton Kirkland. https://247sports.com/Player/Payton-Kirkland-46098852/ Announcing on the 23rd, so it fits all the "building more momentum this week" buzz, has no RPM by GH and his most recent twitter followers are Sark, Gilbert and Cook. Someone else was saying that Cooper Manning was also among his recent follows but I'm far too lazy to confirm that. edit: Well GH literally just put in an RPM for him to Texas as I was typing this so yeah probably safe bet. Crazy to potentially land a guy that never even visited.
  4. What makes you say that? Isn't Shelby a true edge and Akana more of an actual LB? Not disagreeing with you exactly just not sure why either would be related.
  5. Just confirmed on IT that Arch Manning will be in Austin for the party. I think we all assumed that would be the case but either way nice to have it official. Also mentioned we are loading up on some big 2024 targets that weekend.
  6. I imagine this has already been posted about in the Aggie screenshot thread but since many of us do not regularly check that wasteland of depression and idiocy: Aggies completely fucked up. Rule change this year means no more official visits allowed during the July quiet period. So those scheduled OVs with Hill and Gullette? Can't happen. The dumb fucks apparently only figured this out today. Not sure it really changes THAT much but it is still hilarious.
  7. According to Nahlin that was not the reason for the Sark tweet last night. Context implying it was indeed about a new player joining the fold. Fully expecting either Gullette or Shelby, perhaps even both, to also drop in the week leading up to the pool party. Buzz around the program has been steady for a couple weeks now that we would see two high profile commitments shortly before the pool party to maintain momentum. As far as the tweet last night my guess is Vasek. Been consistent buzz for a week now that the only delay in his decision was the uncertainty over Oregon's future and now after the weekend it seems almost certain Oregon and the PAC will be standing firm as-is. Timing fits.
  8. Bru was never allowed back on the team after his DV incident. He isn't leaving by choice. He was not ultimately charged but there was apparently enough there that the school took matters into its own hands.
  9. Nah it just means PK might actually fucking play him (/s) Sanders is stuck behind two of the best Edge players, including probably THE best, in the nation.
  10. Everyone else seriously in the mix for Manning has a QB situation basically the same or worse than our own. At Bama he would be fighting a SO Ty Simpson for the starting job as a true FR or else waiting two years behind him. Georgia has the same situation as us (Vandergriff on same clock as Ewers) with him just likely having to wait one season. Manning family and those around them have consistently implied they are fine with and perhaps even prefer he sit that first year. I still fully expect he lands at Georgia but QB situation shouldn't be a significant factor either way.
  11. Just going to start negging every time someone links this fuckwit. Its been said enough times by now that the repeated posting of his made up nonsense is no longer just an innocent mistake.
  12. Fully expect Caleb to stick at OU. Lebby is an enticing OC to play under and they have plenty of weapons comparative to anyone he might join. I've heard a lot of the same Miami talk but it sounds more like his family just getting leverage to increase the NIL offers to stay. If they had a rough bowl game against a decimated Oregon team maybe he might have actually walked but they look like they will cruise and win by forty at this rate.
  13. Here is the Nahlin piece so you can read for yourselves what he means by 'GM'. There are lot of elements to the gig that go beyond what you would initially assume. This isn't just a bloated DPP role. Also important to note that this is 100% subservient to the HC despite GM being the higher ranked position in the NFL.
  14. Look.. I fully agree about Ho Li Fuk but put some respect on Sum Ting Wong's name. Sick and tired of the ongoing slander of his coaching abilities just because he isn't a great people person. His knowledge of X's and O's is elite, especially on offense, and I think he would have done very well at LSU. Kelly wishes he were Sum Ting Wong.
  15. While I'm sure being closer to his kid would be nice and everything, I have to imagine being able to make ~200K as the floor and considerably much more if he breaks out as an impact player for Texas over the next two seasons is likely enticing to anyone with young children as well.
  16. Yeah just call him up and ask if he wants to take a significant demotion and undo all the work he put in to finally land an on-field role.
  17. Stupid useless beta QBs hold the ball too long waiting for WRs to get open. Omega chad Thompson just throws it whether why are open or triple covered. He will be missed. (just like most of his passes to wide open non-stationary targets).
  18. Fuck no lol edit: You are probably thinking about Earnest Greene? A large part of us getting back in it with him was due to the relationship Coleman has with his father (overlapped some in the NFL or some shit). But just like every target Coleman went after other than Thompson we will finish second there as well.
  19. I'll always remember that run of great performances he had as a rookie. Starting with that breakout against the Steelers I think? I just know it was an elite defense and we were expecting an ass pounding with all the injuries and instead he balled out like a fucking hero in it. Then the next year he seemed to get dicked a bit with us focusing on other guys as back ups and never really got going again. For nostalgia reasons I'd welcome him on board and he seems to fit that younger fiery type that Sark openly stated he wanted to add to the staff.
  20. I genuinely am curious why you think potentially hiring the ex UNT / Georgia Tech (and recently hired USC) RB coach would have anything to do with Patterson
  21. Wish Casey well. Hope his father trips on a rake and impales a yard gnome up his ass. I actually do hope Hudson sticks around one more year though. He isn't going to win the job but injuries happen. You never know.
  22. Clearly Texas needs to hire Hayes Fawcett in that role
