  1. Well, it was fun for the shark...
  2. Grandpa_Simpson_walking_in_and_out.mp4
  3. That might be every bit as effective a training exercise, but everything is more fun with lasers.
  4. I would be shocked if this was not the eventual outcome. Adrenaline is a hell of a drug.
  5. I celebrate @mooseoutfront's entire catalog, not merely the shit stick.
  6. @bullet is giving me Microsoft Word flashbacks...
  7. I am guessing that playing in the church band lands you a surprisingly low levels of trim.
  8. I regularly gravitate to this guy's work. I find it part fascinating and part soothing. Dude is an amateur professional watch repairman. I almost always skip some slower parts, but the contrast between the beginning and the final product rarely disappoints if you are into watches at all.
  9. Tomahawks all came from subs, per OSINTtechnical on X.
  10. I expect these boys to be along any time now to apologize and eat their crow... oh, wait, this isn't a political thread. Carry on.
  11. Let's go full circle and discuss throwing javelins at hot air balloons...
  12. This might move it up the rankings. NSFW - death (obviously), but nothing overtly graphic. It's a wonder anyone survived.
  13. Other NCAA divisions play significantly more post-season playoff games than FBS: The FCS playoffs currently is at 24 teams. Division II is currently at 32 teams. Division III is currently at 40 teams. Going to 16 is not that big of a jump. On campus games for the first two rounds provides a nice reward of an extra 1 or 2 home games for top performing teams, fans would absolutely fill the stands, TV ratings would be stellar. For years the argument against it was because they didn't want kids missing that much class, but I think that ship has sailed with the "student-athlete" line getting thinner and thinner. Honestly, I'm surprised they aren't talking about going to 32 teams and running it March Madness style, with the amount of money that could be produced.
  14. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c17w04wxwpxo Not a lot of details in the article, but death by hot air balloon accident (8 out of 21 on board) has to hit the horrible ways to die scale somewhere.
  15. And one wonders why people own up to mistakes online so rarely....
  16. Written, yes. Not verbal. Only people with zero clue about sports in general say it like that. Your great aunt Gladys might describe her grandchild's baseball team losing like that because her grandchild's team score is more important to her. Still wrong.
  17. Naming your dogo Pedo is one of the few worse ideas I can think of than smuggler. Pedo would make for some fun times at the dog park!
  18. No, it doesn't. That is wrong in every possible verbal score delivery.
  19. Look at the upside, your liver and your heart deteriorate in sync with each other.
  20. High scores for execution. Major deductions for originality.
  21. Glad I could provide some source material for you all. Mea culpa. I saw somebody post something on X/Twitter, I'm not a big enough fan to know he was already dead, so I google him. Apparently today is the anniversary of his death 12 years ago, and I didn't notice the year. LIke I said, I would have expected Surly to be all over that one (had it just occurred). Delete post, ban user.
  22. Surprised no one has posted this yet - James Gandolfini. 63.
