  1. If we can’t find develop a guy or 2 out of the kids we recruited then whoever is in charge of OL evaluations needs to be demoted. I still think expecting this staff to get 2 IOL out of the portal is expecting a lot unless we have a coaching change at the position.
  2. OU and Vanderbilt overachieving after we beat them is the biggest issue here. Neither is better than us. Aggie, Miami, BYU, Michigan, Tulane, Texas Tech and Virginia. None of those teams are better than us either. But win/loss record rules all unless the committee decides to rock the boat this year to get us in. 2 out of OU, Bama, and Vandy losing today would definitely help.
  3. Can we depend on Cojoe next year? Granted we don’t know how good he is either. I think Baker improved immensely from the start of the season. Goosby played more solidly too but the IOL is going to be an issue. If we can find at least one decent replacement in the portal that’ll do wonders. I don’t think any of the incoming recruits are early contributors, but hopefully 1-2 of the younger guys turns out to be a diamond in the rough.
  4. This is the type of thread I’d expect to see on Texags.
  5. I think as a whole they were locked in and didn’t bust a lot of coverages. Pressure from the DL helped as well.
  6. Defense balled out. Amazing job without Hill playing and Smith for a half. Secondary surprisingly held up, DL got good pressure when needed. PK called a good game.
  7. Justus Terry with the pressure on that first Reed interception. That kid is going to be a monster.
  8. Do you base talent on stars given to players from the recruiting services? A&M has better talent at OL, and WR. And QB, RB, TE could go either. Regardless a whole bunch of pussy ass losers posting in this thread with the game still in question.
  9. I was 99% sure that was going out the back of the end zone.
  10. I’m not sure who is easier to tackle out of Wingo and Baxter.
  11. I think the deep shots were supposed to be the answer but the wind and refs took that aspect away from us.
  12. Arch internal clock has to go off in those situations and just take off and run or throw it away. But in my opinion we needed to make that FG attempt <50 so I get it to an extent. Arch is also a part of the problem regarding how Sark is calling this game. Yes we need more slants and crossers but Arch can’t really throw those. A&M is taking away the throws he can make forcing him to hold the ball longer than he has been recently. We should run the ball more with Wisner, but outside of that I’m not sure what the answer is here.
  13. Taafe has been a step off since he has returned from injury.
  14. Arch is 5 for 17 it’s ok to acknowledge he isn’t having a good game. Sark needs to find a way to turn that around.
  15. Now would be a good time for the defense to get a turnover.
  16. For some reason Aggie DBs have been allowed to mug WRs all season long. So don’t expect to get those calls.
  17. Moore and Lafau need to have the game of their lives.
  18. Game should be over. Clock stopped to soon.
  19. You do realize the coaches see these guys everyday in spring ball, fall camp, and practice during the season. Some of this board identified our best starting 5 involved moving Hutson to LG and starting Robinson at C early on in the season. I’m not sure if it is Sark’s or Flood’s stubbornness that we didn’t start the season that way or just major incompetence that they didn’t realize it until Hutson got hurt.
  20. They didn’t score an offense TD on us last year. The difference this year is they are a lot better at WR. Our back 7 is going to have to be up to the task of covering those crossings routes and the TE’s. I’m not sure if they are better on defense than last year. We should be able to run the ball but we’ll see just how much better our OL has become. I’d say their secondary is worse than ours, based on what I’ve seen, so if Arch is given time he should have another good game.
  21. Is this guy a speedster? We need more speed at the RB position.
  22. I realize most of you don’t pay any attention to teams until we play them but Arkansas has one of the top offenses in the country. They have been scoring points all season long: I thought the defense played well from the late 2nd Q until the game was out of reach. We were never going to shut that team out. Also consider we were missing Hill.
