  1. More of a Paralympic meets St. Patty’s day. With lots of unanswered RSVP’s
  2. The Ukrainians did not attack Russia. They merely conducted a Special Military Operation.
  3. These guys are such posers. They film themselves firing rockets at nothing and with no real enemy or combat near them. Then their leader takes selfies from “Ukraine” at a gas station that doesn’t exist in Ukraine and in front of a captured Ukrainian truck with palace in the background. I imagine the Belarus troops think they suck.
  4. Hackers are reported to have said "This thing is so fucked up we couldn't do anything to make it worse!"
  5. Likely related to this. LONDON, March 28 (Reuters) - Russian soldiers who seized the site of the Chernobyl nuclear disaster drove their armoured vehicles without radiation protection through a highly toxic zone called the "Red Forest", kicking up clouds of radioactive dust, workers at the site said. The two sources said soldiers in the convoy did not use any anti-radiation gear. The second Chernobyl employee said that was "suicidal" for the soldiers because the radioactive dust they inhaled was likely to cause internal radiation in their bodies.
  6. I have found that the key to a successful marriage is not caring about shit. Seriously. If she talks to me as she is walking away, in another room, or does something so she or I can't hear each other during a conversation I just stop talking and assume it doesn't matter. Unless the house is on fire and we need to flee, or something like that, then if it doesn't matter to her then it doesn't matter to me. I walk away and enjoy the next moment of my life. My normal setting is to care, but if I did then I would have multiple rage/anger moments directed at her per day...and if it is not important to her, then I am not going to make it important to me.
  7. The longer the war goes on, the larger the Ukraine military gets.
  8. How come the black ones jump higher than the white (tan) ones?
  9. And to be clear, the “Blitzkrieg” involved Russia invading Poland from the East in conjunction with Germany in September 1939. Russia also invaded Finland in November of 1939. Effectively Russia was part of the Axis until Germany attacked them.
  10. - Katarina Antoinettesky
  11. Putin’s just upset at how poorly the hero in JK Rowling’s books, Voldemort, was treated and vilified.
  12. I agree, and as long as they are willing to fight I think we should support them to get back every inch of territory including Crimea if that is what they want and are willing to do....But this is Putin/Russia's off ramp to the immediate cluster they created. Pull back, build defenses, declare victory.
  13. This was the off ramp for Putin I thought they would/could take. Everything was a diversion to the goal of attacking and reducing the "Nazi" presence in Ukraine, and to liberate the "Russian" people in Donbas (Donetsk and Luhansk). Needed the "appearance" of a bigger invasion to accomplish this. Pull back and try and fortify those areas/borders. Then borrow our "Mission Accomplished" banner. After this they have their allies/supporters slowly try to remove the sanctions and economic restrictions to help stop the suffering of the Russian people.
  14. Only team to never make a World Series. AND Seattle is home of a REAL 12th man. So good fit.
  15. Much better video of the ship in which you can see secondary explosions and it sinking at the pier. In the foreground it looks to be a warship which I can't tell if it has any damage, but you do see a projectile land in the water beside it as it is trying to get underway quickly and get out to sea. Raises the question if the ship damage was artillery or sabotage. Then later you can see a second ship trying to get underway (3rd ship) between the first ship trying to leave and the sea wall. This third ship is clearly also on fire. I think this third ship may be a cargo/transport ship, but hard to tell with the smoke. I wanted to see if the two underway ships collided as they tried to get away from port as that looked like it was going to happen, but my guess is the ship on fire had to come to a stop as the first ship (Warship?) trying to leave was not going to do so, but the video stopped prior to this.
  16. The only off ramp I see is for him to declare victory. He says he has crushed the Ukrainian Nazi threat and He pulls back into a controlling position of the Donbas and Luhansk territories which he says need Russian protection (basically annexes them). He has to pull back into Crimea as well as he can't control beyond that territory. He also strategically moves out of the other regions as they were needed to distract Ukraine from his only true goals but he never intended to conquer Ukraine. So"Mission Accomplished" against the Nazi's and freeing the Russian people in Donbas and Luhansk! Then he digs in and works on defending those borders he created. Next is to let his sympathizers try and weasel Russia's way back into the world economy.
  17. I like that they left room to add more names.
  18. Fixed it for Surly.
  19. Put one back a little further East NE
  20. If he drank Pepsi he deserved to be beaten.
  21. Kind of agree. Engine loss or many other issues at least allows for limited gliding. A catastrophic loss to something critical to flight control would lead to spinning, tumbling or non-standard flight movements. The video looked like the aircraft had stable flight but someone was flying it into the ground.
  22. LSU actually, closely followed by Bammers. Having said that, the aggys in there are just happy to be first in something for once, doesnt really matter to them what that may be. Ole Miss says “hold my noose”.
  23. Did Putin fancy himself as reuniting Russia and USSR to the glory days he thinks they deserved, absolutely. But he also felt he was going to have a 3 day excursion where they would do what they had done before in Georgia, Crimea etc. And of course they spoke Russian, as they had been taken over for 50 years by USSR and forced to teach and use Russian as the primary language But Ukraine was wanting to be it’s own country, and if Ukraine could access and leverage their oil reserves it would make Russia less powerful and influential, and even superfluous to Europe or other countries. Putin and the Oligarchs are state sponsored Mafia, and a Ukraine that could compete or supplant Russian oil/gas could be economically and politically devastating. So Putin could work to diversify his industries, become better economically overall, be a better global partner….or he could make up Nazi, bio-warfare, nuclear, NATO, etc issues and do what he has always done as the head Russian Mafioso.
