  1. That’s makes 2 people that don’t watch anything, but Texas football.. It’s room. Would be nice if Brooks went down and then Nick Singelton or Donovan Edward’s came in..
  2. I said 3rd or 4th.. Michigan, Ohio State, and Penn State. Michigan is easily the best RB room in the country. I would definitely take PSU over Texas. People can argue that over Texas and OSU
  3. This is stupid. Assuming everyone if healthy, Texas would have the 3rd- 4th best RB room in the Big 10. You need to go watch some football.
  4. Calling Baxter, Blue, and Red the best RB room in the country is just unbelievable. That is next level BS
  5. I am not sure on JT.. he know the IT guys said they were hearing 3-4th round from their sources
  6. To be fair, teams dared Quinn to beat them last year. This year it is quite the opposite
  7. its possible, but SOS and best win would both favor Texas over Oregon.. Bama would be ranked above Washington in the final poll. I would bet Georgia would be ranked above Washington in the final poll Committtee could be a slave to recency bias, but my argument is the cleanest and most logical path for the committee would be to select Texas and Bama. That maybe a stretch since this committee has not been bound by logic
  8. I am not sure on this. Just assume Michigan, FSU, Oregon, Texas, and Bama win. Michigan is in.. FSU is in.. Now the committee has to pick 2 of the 3. Texas has the head to head over Bame. I believe the SOS argument argument over both. They have 3 choices 1. They send the message that the regular season does not matter and puts Bama in over Texas, which will bring in all kinds of heat. SOS does not matter and they put in Oregon 2. They leave the SEC out and the world goes nuts. SOS does not matter as Oregon in over Bama 3. They say we looked at the resumes. Bama and Texas have a stronger SOS and resume, than Oregon. They would also have the better win
  9. I am not sure on the #1.. Bama/Texas is an interesting argument. I dont think you can assume Bama jumps Texas, given the double digit win on the road for Texas. Texas has 1 loss, so the more teams with 1 loss the better for Texas. Root for chaos, but especially Louisville and Bama.
  10. Committee is basing it on margin of victory, without adjusting for strength of schedule Oregon #2 in nation at 25.3 Texas #11 at 17.8 Bama #15 @ 14.4 https://www.teamrankings.com/college-football/stat/average-scoring-margin I am not saying it is correct, but that seems to be their basis. Even if MOV is not supposed to be a criteria of the committee.
  11. 2021 top 15- Ewers, Williams, Huard, Maye, Vandagriff, McCarthy, Salter, McCord, Buchner, Morton, Stowers, Dart, Milroe, Moss.. Williams and Maye are only ones that are definitely above Quinn. 2022 top 15- Allar, Klubnick, Weigman, Simpson, Brown, Howard, Stockton, Evers, Maalik Murphy, Brady Allen, Houser, Jackson, Duffy, Geriner, and Horn. so is you look at his original class only Fiftia is question mark. You cant pretend that Allar or Klubnick have even been close to Quinn.
  12. That has always been my thinking. Texas could still get screwed, but that is best possible resume for Texas. The best possible thing for Texas is multiple undefeated teams lose next weekend
  13. Either way you cut it, Oregon is a huge outlier among the 1 loss teams I am not sure Sagarin is up to date. Michigan looks a low after OSU and PSU in back to back weeks
  14. https://www.espn.com/college-football/fpi/_/view/resume I just used that, since ESPN seems to be at the center of anything college football
  15. It’s true, but encouraging poor scheduling is terrible for College football fans and the game. Here is SOS currently undefeated teams: 1. Michigan (sos 36) 2. Washington ( 46) 3. FSU (56) 4. Georgia (59) 1 loss: 5. OSU (6) 6. Texas (13) 7. Bama (31) 8. Oregon (61) Committee may completely reverse the SOS rankings of 1 loss teams, which is pretty crazy.
  16. The committee could make a completely ridiculous ruling. I can’t stop that. There is 1 known in all of this, Texas won’t jump an undefeated team. That would lead most logical people to root against all the undefeated teams. If it comes to a beauty pageant beating the SEC champ would be helpful.
  17. I want to see FSU lose #1 and Bama win #2. Texas will need Bama to win to boost its resume.
  18. Maybe it was Sark publicly bitching. Hard to explain, it’s not like Texas hasn’t played shitty QBs and mediocre WRs before. Texas even played some inside leverage
  19. Because both have much better SOS. That is part of the criteria. Based on their criteria it should probably look like this: OSU, Texas, Bama, and then Oregon.. People would freak out about OSU being the top 1 loss team, but if the others won a championship they would jump OSU the next week based on the criteria.
  20. I'm concerned they aren't going to make a correction because they can't find a good reason to change it (short of admitting they screwed up). This is exactly the problem. People view rankings like they are static. There might have been a legit argument to say the Utah win was comparable to the Bama win 1 month ago. This pervasive idea that you can’t change rankings without admitting fault is absurd. It may play out this year, but I am pointing out this view is what is wrong with human rankings
  21. There is also SOS, which highly favors both Texas and Bama over Oregon. Not to mention you are saying margin of victory doesn’t matter, but it’s literally the basis for Oregon being ahead of Texas and Bama. They are getting a bump for blowing out shitty PAC teams
  22. Why would double digit win a on the road vs a top 8 team matter? Why the fuck would it not? Texas is the only team to win in Bama by double digits since Saban arrived. I am pointing out that information changes throughout the year. Your point of view is the inherent flaw in rankings. One of the reasons the PAC gets respect this year is due to early wins over TCU and Florida. Neither of those teams are going bowling this year, so those wins should mean little now. Unfortunately, people are stubborn. They have a hard time adjusting their opinions, when information changes. Perhaps hubris will stop the Committee from following their written guidelines, but we shall see.
