  1. Lot of OZ and duo.. honestly, the OL looked better. Wisner made a couple runs that overcame the blocking also. I’ll wait until a second watch, but I thought DJ Campbell played angry today. Love rivalry games, everyone that needed to step up in RRS did
  2. Have to give Sark some credit. He played full breaks and no gas early in this game. Once Texas got behind the chains it was screen city. Sark playing to get to the 2nd half on the backs of the defense was unexpected and it had to be killing him not to call shot plays. Offense executing on long drives has to be the biggest shocker in this game. Penalties got cleaned up in the second half. Arch made some nice 3rd down plays. Not going to look, but I wouldn’t be surprised if Texas had more 8+ play drives in this game, than they had all season.
  3. Wisner played his best game as a Longhorn. I have never seen him run that physical.
  4. https://www.parmigiani.com/en/stories/two-worlds-one-spirit/ UT stepping up their game
  5. You cut up a 1 route clip and said Arch picked the wrong WR like he had a choice. Derka would not go that far.
  6. I don’t think he catches the ball. I think people look at these and make the assumption that the exact reaction will occur. That DB will be all over the WR, if Arch is looking at the WR and even makes a hint of throwing it to him. He is 5 off with hips parallel to the LOS and coming down and Arch isn’t even looking that direction. He is in great position. The QB has to go through the motion of throwing and the ball has to travel 20 yards. He isn’t catching the ball. I was merely saying even if he did, he will be short
  7. I believe it was 3rd and 8 from the 14. 14+8=22, perhaps it was 3rd and 10 and I am slightly off on the numbers. Biggest point is the WR breaks the route off 3 yards before the sticks. Forward progress is a big assumption. WR has no momentum. He is stopped or heading towards the QB. DB is coming down with momentum.
  8. 4 yards came from breaking off his stop at the 19 and if he runs it correctly he is coming back to the ball, so he should catch it at the 18. He would need 4 more yards. This is why I said the play call sucks and the stops look like a GDGD call. Running a 10 yards stop on 3rd and 8 makes sense. Running 5 yard stops is dumb
  9. The 1st down is the 22, which is why I drew the line. The WR breaks the stop off at the 19. The DB is over him on the 24. His hips are parallel to the LOS and coming down. The reception isn’t a lock. It would be if his hips were turned, but the WR never threatened and he sat on the route. Even if he catches it, he is well short of the 1st down. All that is a big reason the play call sucks.
  10. 1 day out and nobody feels confident. I am going to put my faith in 3 things the fact that as bad as we think the Texas OL is, OU's may be worse. Texas has the better secondary This place is an absolute morgue. Last time the mood was this ugly here is when Charlie pulled off a victory.
  11. Your stupidity is welcome documented. If he he tackled on the catch it is a gain of 4. I know math is hard for you, but you would think the GDGD diagram of his 3rd down play would have traveled down to your momm's basement by now. @Thatguy put out a breakdown of a called screen to the TE and said Arch should have hit the RB. Never seen anyone blame a QB for a bad read on a 1 man route before. Has to be the dumbest breakdown in the history of message boards and I dont say that lightly. This is guy that blamed the entire team anytime Quinn struggled. Now after a game with 35 pressures, he is going after a QB.
  12. The best OL in the Sark era was Banks, who many would consider an undersized OT. He was very athletic though. HT: 6051 (43rd percentile) WT: 315 (56th percentile) Arm: 33 1/2 (26th percentile) Hand: 10 3/8 (74th percentile)
  13. Worried Arch will get ruined behind this OL. I cannot imagine the damage playing behind this OL would do to Lacey.
  14. I dont think a different QB is completely unreasonable opinion. We dont know if another QB would do better. I happen to agree with you that any QB put in this offense right now is being set up for failure. Until the blocking improves, this offense is just going to be bad.
  15. you should watch this, because Scip is talking about the protection scheme issue that you are talking about and the individual breakdowns on blocking. His conclusion is the schemes and individual OL are both faulty.
  16. https://www.on3.com/college/texas-longhorns/news/dan-orlovsky-claims-arch-manning-will-still-be-the-no-1-pick-in-2027-nfl-draft-despite-struggles/ highlights for those too lazy to open “Arch Manning is going to be the No. 1 pick in the 2027 NFL Draft,” Orlovsky said. “I’ve never felt better about that than watching this past week… He’s custom-made for the NFL game.” “Let’s be very clear about Texas,” Orlovsky said. “It’s probably as big of a roster whiff as we’ve had in years. It’s arguably the worst offensive line in the SEC. They don’t have a tailback who’s a difference maker right now. Their best receiver is a redshirt freshman named Parker Livingstone. This is not a very good football team.”
  17. That play is dead. See the Cb sitting flat footed 2 yards behind the 1st down maker. WR is breaking off and coming back to the Qb 3 yards short of the sticks. He is going to cover the that ground easily. Wingo does not touch the DB on the pick and he cannot touch the DB as it would be offensive PI. You may have an argument, if the comeback was past the sticks or the NB was a Surly poster and not a legit D1 athlete. I am guessing you are a big GDGD fan, based on your idea that a 5 yard stop route is a winning play on 3rd and 8..
  18. yes, this is coach speak BS. Maybe 2 OL have been consistent this year (Campbell and Goosby). Sark is pissing on CJ's head and Cj thinkings it is raining.
  19. There is a good argument that Florida gameplans were among the worst this staff has put together. Maybe the hope is the staff overlooked Florida and we will see a different Texas vs OU.
  20. I did not see the OL completely whiffing on blocks as a half glass full moment. Some of the EDGE issues was the odd decision to use containment rushes vs a hobbled QB, like they were practicing for Mateer. Though Moore getting locked up by TE 1 on 1 should not happen under any circumstance. I think asking Wisner to bury his head and get 1-2 yards is just asking him to do something he isnt suited for. I will say was to leave your 2 most physical RBs on the bench vs Florida. Perhaps that was about blocking, but RBs did not block particularly well. Though hard to really say Gibson and Simon did not get a chance, when RBs got 9 attempts on the game. Sark panicked on that.
  21. If you told me a QB would face 35 pressures and missed some throws or made a bad decision, my response would be "no shit". Tom Brady and Peyton Manning would struggle in that environment. Fans have unrealistic expectations. I saw Brooks (Film Guy) pick OU. He said 3 ints from Manning, because Texas continues to set their QBs up for failure in big games. They cannot run the ball or protect the QB. Finished off by saying the general public will make it a story about Arch failing.
  22. My biggest fear is not Venables comes in and blitzes the offense into oblivion. It is he dusts off his 3 high package and mind fucks the OL with simulated pressures and they get to Arch bringing 3.
  23. I beyond hte mentally fragile QB thing. He pissed down his leg the first few games, but hard to actually watch the Florida game and say Arch is fragile. He took an absolute beating and kept getting up.
  24. no but Dallas Wilson may not get 111 yards.
  25. so you are saying there's a chance
