  1. Brooks is a true freshman. I doubt they want Brooks to get his feet wet in Columbus. This is not an indictment on him.
  2. Neto is the one of the great riddles of Longhorn football. I cannot remember ever hearing a negative report about him, but I still have yet to see him start a football game.
  3. Did not realize that. Damn, I just looked at that backfield. Daniel Young (81 carries), Chris Warren (71), Porter (83), Toniel Carter (53). Might be the worst backfield Texas has ever fielded.
  4. Duke transferred out. I dont think he ever even got a carry at Texas. Some reason I remember him being a headcase. I think had an ugly injury at Houston. Porter was a career back-up. Danny Young was the only one to be a lead back. I am not sure that is the bar for average.
  5. I didnt read the fine print. I used aDOT (average depth of target), you used average depth of catch.
  6. Seems like health is Florida's biggest question mark this season. Makes it really hard to predict their season.
  7. that is one thing young Arch needs to learn, get your ass down son.
  8. I dont think we will see a lot of called runs for Arch, outside of couple big games.
  9. Colt and Manning are substantially different guys
  10. if you are saying DCs want to bring 4 and hit the QB, I would respond water is wet.
  11. I forgot the stats, but I believe Arch was quite good vs the blitz last year. DC is going to want to hit any QB, but if Arch makes them pay for bring an extra player a DC's options are quite limited.
  12. I believe Arch. I always thought it was odd, they never reported it. If I am a coach being criticized for not playing Arch, I sure as hell would have reported he was concussed.
  13. Starting RBs and at a program like Texas? I highly doubt that. Here is just the SEC (cfbstats.com - 2024 Southeastern Conference Player Leaders). If I take out RBs with less than 100 carries, he still finished 14th in ypc.
  14. In college it is below average, especially for a blue blood RB. NFL is another story
  15. I hope that was it. Arch is definitely going to make defense cover more of the field. You usually worry about turnovers with young QBs, but given how many Texas dealt with last year I dont think the number will increase much. I would probably bet it decreases.
  16. Wisner should have better YPC number, which I believe was the lowest for a Texas lead since Daniel Young or Tre Watson. He will be better if he does not have to carry the full load of the run game, which he certainly wasnt built for last year.
  17. We can disagree there. Ewers finishing 33 in QBR (8th in the SEC,1 spot above Nico) with Sark and the talent around him is not screaming well above average. Texas QBs were responsible for 20 turnovers (17 for Ewers). Not to mention Texas threw more passes under 5 yards than any team in the nation according to Elko. It was a pretty favorable situation. I am talking the P4. Rb room had fumble issues, blocking woes, depth issues, and lacked an inside runner.
  18. I think Wisner was solid and he played his ass off for Texas. I dont think he will be confused with Bijan or Brooks. He also was forced to carry too much of the load, which really hurt him down the stretch. Lot of it was just a lack of capable bodies
  19. I would say more like average QB and RB play. Wisner wore down late in the season. Big growth on the offense needs to come from the RB and QB room. That leads to me the turnovers. Texas was 130th in turnovers lost last year (out of 134). That was next level shitty. Crazy thing Texas was #2 in turnovers gained and ended up slightly positive in turnover margin.
  20. Think you have to mention J'Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson. Not only the 2 best WR in college that year, but arguably the 2 best WR in the NFL.
  21. https://ftnfantasy.com/nfl/air-yards?fppg=PPR&years=2024 That is off. Tua at 5.69 and Richardson 12.19.. Tua was the lowest starter with an aDot of 5.69 and Richardson was the highest. Not going to do the work, but the average is between 7-8 yards.
  22. 60 is average, so you are looking at average score and little below average. So far, the battle for the back-up QB spot in Miami can be characterized as who is the tallest midget. There is a good chance Miami picks up a veteran if one becomes available after teams make their cuts.
  23. The issue for Baxter and Wisner is a I dont think ether are going to be combine warriors.
  24. It appears Wisner and Baxter have a lock on 1st team. Both are dependable options. Baxter is probably the best RB on the roster without the ball in his hands. Based upon on camp reports it sounds like Clark is the most explosive and elusive RB on the roster. Might just be camp BS, but if reports are legit he is going to be a bigger part of the offense than most believe. Just sounds like a healthy Clark (can’t believe he recovered so fast) was always the best RB in that recruiting class. If Simons jumps ahead of Gibson this year, there is 0 chance he isn’t in the portal
  25. Will Texas bring 4 RBs? I know SEC limits travel to 70 players. I am not sure about this match-up. Thought Texas brought 3 last year to Michigan, but I could be wrong. 4th would have to have special teams value, if they went in that direction
