  1. Agree. I dont see him as a topflight talent. He is not big. He has decent mobility, but he isnt a great athlete. His arm is solid, but nobody would say he has a cannon. His physical traits are closer to Drew Brees than Josh Allen. He will have to develop better anticipation and football savvy to be a high-end NFL QB, that is extremely hard to predict.
  2. There are noticeably taller with bigger physiques, so Quinn always looked small in comparison. Quinn is a touch under-sized to the proto-type, but taking pictures next to Arch and Maalik made him look like a little boy. More perception, than reality.
  3. This is just stupid. Helm sprained his ankle on 1st attempt and still did all the drills. How frail is your ego that you find pleasure in that?
  4. He has been dealing with an injury for quite a while. I am not sure when it first happened. Its odd we havent heard a thing about it, especially since he didnt perform at the combine. He shot up the draft boards in the first half of the season. I could see someone convincing themselves the last 4-5 games can be attributed to health issues.
  5. His athletic scores were a surprise, and he threw well. He probably moved up as much or more than anyone. He is coming from pretty far back but definitely put himself in a position to be a mid-round guy. Cook finished as the top quarterback in every testing category, earning a Relative Athletic Score of 9.71 out of 10. That ranks him 30th out of 993 quarterbacks evaluated since 1987
  6. MPH for DT, welcome to the silly season
  7. Interesting to Shadeur almost fall ou tof the 1st round.
  8. Combine. Lots of people add or lose the weight for this week (except T Sweat) and then go straight back. Its kind of like taking a bride's weight on her Wedding day and then checking back in 5 years.
  9. I just did, so please put on ignore or settle your sad ass down and lose the pretend tough guy act Should add 66 grade for Will Howard and a 42.9 grade for Quinn by PFF in that game
  10. So sensitive. You look at the game, you ignore 1.5 yards per attempt more, the 75 more yards rushing by Howard, the higher QBR, and higher QB rating and come to the conclusion its basically the same. Of course, you do the typical fan nonsense and say take out this play and that play from the opposition and pretend that is a logical exercise.
  11. Take away the big play and a missed hold and it all the same, got it.
  12. Yards per attempt being 1.5 per greater is not similar. The QBR should have been a heads up on that.
  13. I have said for months. It seems like Word and Shadeur are locked in the 1-2 spot and I expect a ton volatility in the next group. It only takes 1 team to change the rankings. Appears to be only 2 guys that will be 1st round selections. The next group is likely in the 3rd round, perhaps someone reaches in the 2nd. I know Zerlien was saying it is a bit unusual for QBs to go in the 2nd. Teams usually draft in the 1st with the player being deemed a start level player and then usual wait to the 3rd and after.
  14. I have seen the Shough talk. He was definitely a big winner at the combine. He is just coming from the back of the pack. I dont think he has moved to that 3/4 spot yet, but we will see.
  15. He is 4th. Ward, Shaduer, Dart, and then Ewers. Dart had the best passing session at the Combine. He came in at 3. He is leaves as 3
  16. Oh shit, how did I forget Barron
  17. Banks, Golden, and who??
  18. 4. Quinn Ewers, Texas The strongest parts of Ewers' outing in on-field drills on Saturday were his solid mechanics and impressive accuracy. The Texas product was hitting receivers on all levels of the field with nice ball placement the first half of his throws, and he was really able to show off his nice footwork and lower-body mechanics with no pass rush to worry about. Ewers wasn't quite as strong as Dart was when he had to throw to his right side and on some of the deeper throws on "go" routes. The 2024 second-team All-SEC quarterback missed some easy throws on comeback routes to his right side and didn't show off much of the requisite anticipation on those routes. When it came time to throw deep, Ewers had some bad underthrows that took away from an otherwise solid performance. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/draft/2025/03/01/nfl-combine-2025-quarterback-rankings-draft/80969533007/
  19. Believe Babers had like 12-15 WRs have broken a 4.3 40. Santana Moss is the only one to have a 1,000 yard season in the NFL
  20. You are using the team record to try and deflect from the offensive performance. We are going to watch a lot of offensive Longhorns drafted and they finished 18th in FEI. That is not the ceiling. There is no way you can objectively say the talent on offense was 18th best in the country
  21. The defense reached its ceiling. It’s hard to say the offense came close to its ceiling. Special teams didnt play to expectations..
  22. Played some off-ball last year. Collins is the best pass rusher. He is going to be the Buck. It would be hard to start Moore and Collins on the EDGEs in the SEC. I see this as a way to increase the versatility with Moore and help his NFL prospects. I would not worry much about this. If it works out, awesome. If it does not, he is going to split reps with Collins in base downs and be on the field in pass rush situations.
  23. Georgia is the only game; you did not want to throw Arch in and Sark threw him in. Texas was going to playoffs with any solid QB. That may sound crazy, but Texas won 1 game in the regular season where the defense gave up 20 or more.
  24. Interesting they didn’t run the 40. I thought that was a test both could impress scouts. (Not that applies much to DL play)
  25. It could be something as simple as Quinn looked better in practice. IMO the biggest issue for Texas the last 2 seasons has been an inconsistent offense. When the offense was clicking it was a thing of beauty. Quinn looked great. It also was prone to vomit inducing stretches. It was not uncommon to see both in the same game. Sark could have just been betting on Quinn and the offense dampening the volatility or nervous about putting someone with limited experience into that environment.
