  1. Transfer to the airline bucket if at all possible. American is tough with Amex points because AA miles come through Citi card spending. I use Amex points to transfer to Avios generally. Those 260k points will almost get you from JFK to Milan and back for two in Emirates first class which is supposed to be a great flying experience. How I did Spain. Transferred MR points from Amex to Iberia at 1:1.4. Redeemed Avios off peak for 42000 each way in business class from Miami to Madrid and back. Total cost for two was 120000 MR points. You just need to look at what routes you can fly and what Amex points transfer partners you can use on that route.
  2. Now we need to teach you how to use those points more effectively unless that was for the whole family. I fly business class to Europe for two for way less points than that.
  3. So, mud is good? IMG_2080.MOV
  4. Eli and Z are becoming quite the pair.
  5. What game did you watch? Northwestern kicked off to begin the game and Ohio State kicked off to begin the second half.
  6. True but they had no choice but to make the decision after the race. The incident happened on the last chicane of the last lap.
  7. LeClerc a couple of races ago when he left the course when Checo was challenging him on the last lap.
  8. The beaches in Valencia aren't great. Instead I'd head to the east cost of Mallorca and stay around Alcudia. Palma on the west side is great as well. Nixe Palace seems right up your alley.
  9. Keep him. Pay him more.
  10. He is now.
  11. Yet they’re 3-3 in the playoffs with a championship. Care to compare that to what Oklahoma has done in the playoffs? Probably not.
  12. It’s about 135k Amex points round trip. That’s not a problem. Why not experience the best once?
  13. Thinking about Emirates first class to Italy next year from JFK. It seems like an experience I want.
  14. The fall Chateau Montelena shipment arrived. Time to put them on their side for a while.
  15. Unfortunately, United miles aren't the best for overseas travel (along with Delta). Both of those airlines charge a lot of miles for those trips. I did see on the United site that if you can get to Dulles you'll have direct flights to Rome and the redemptions weren't terrible at about 60k miles round trip in economy.
  16. I found the F2 or F3 cars to much louder than the F1 cars going down the straight in Spain.
  17. If you're gaming there's no such thing as overkill. 😃
  18. My favorite bass line if all time and yes that is Keith Richards on the bass.
  19. Team Green or Team Black. I am firmly for Team Black. Episode 9 was outstanding. Here's to more of that.
  20. Tate canceled that visit to Tennessee.

  22. What? There are different ways to make bolognese. The one pictured is more southern Italian. It becomes more of a meat sauce and lesS of a tomato sauce the further north you go. All are delicious.
  23. Give me a list of the top 50 dive/beach bars and I've probably been to quite a few.
  24. It's 1969 and you decide to take a chance and buy this album. You put the needle down and this is how it begins.
  25. Came home today. We got power and internet back at 7 pm. We are fortunate that even though we live close to the gulf we were far enough away to avoid the devastation that many are dealing with. The wine survived. I opened three bottles with a neighbor and they drank well. I can only consider myself lucky because we have a lot of friends dealing with major damage to total loss of their homes.
