  1. Giving up 93 points with 6 min left in the third. Stellar defense, nico.
  2. I was let down by Morby. I wanted to hear Dorothy. I grade each band I see. He ranks as a ā€œnoā€ for future shows.
  3. I enjoyed the show but as I watched it I was thinking ā€œhow do I describe this to my wife?ā€ She always asks me about the concerts. Two adjectives came to mind: theatrical and pretentious. A few songs later, the lead singer calls himself a pretentious asshole. Points for self awareness. They put a lot of work into the concept and execution of their show. It is a show.
  4. Nope. I wasn’t at that show.
  5. John Moreland re-released ā€œEverything the hard wayā€ on vinyl Moreland vinyl
  6. Per the googles, Dr Sherrill has retired. Got any other recommendations? I took a fall when I was 2-3 years old that did damage to my front teeth. I have veneers on my front teeth and a cap on one adjacent tooth from decades ago. One of my veneers chipped off recently. I want to go full in and do a whitening of all my teeth but the cap and veneers present a matching problem. It’s time for a full redo. I went to one place, and they quoted $10k. They did 3D imaging, and said I needed a root canal on the tooth beneath my cap. That’s quite possible. That’s do-able but I feel like a second opinion is in order.
  7. Same here
  8. I go to the fulfillment center floor regularly. I gotta make sure the WMS, automated picking, conveyor system, and parcel services and integrations haven’t crapped out in the last five minutes. I scored a 37.
  9. Definitely go noodling for alligator gar in the trinity
  10. Nothing says elite quite like a poster named ā€œHorn Dogā€
  11. Solid strategy
  12. The PBS questionnaire in the link is hilarious. It’s a ā€œyou might be a redneckā€ checklist. To be clear, I scored fairly high; I have lived in oklahoma and arkansas. A sampling. What? No Springer? Disappointed there wasn’t one of these.
  13. I was there, and it was uncomfortably packed. They needed a venue twice that size. I’m not one to get claustrophobic but that set up was bad. I enjoyed the opening band (humanist) a lot.
  14. The Stews brought it last night. They closed the show with ā€œ9-5ā€ and transitioned in and out of ā€œWar pigsā€. They do have an annoying following though. Groups of college kids chattering, getting hammered, and losing all sense of self-awareness.
  15. Stews tonight in dallas Black rebel motorcycle club tomorrow in austin F1 on sunday Great weekend
  16. One of my favorite tshirts procured from perini’s shop in buffalo gap. Their burgers are quite good. We used to stop there regularly on our way to lubbock when the kid was going to school there.
  17. I have thrown the tennis ball so much for these two that I’ve developed a shoulder injury. 20-50 throws a day for a few years = physical therapy appointment. But they live for it. So, I keep doing it.
  18. I learned from the hawaii revealed series that polynesians would each year follow bird migration to the point where the birds were no longer visible. They would then return to their island, the following year, they would row to the point where they lost sight of the birds, wait for the birds to arrive again, qnd follow them again until they lost sight of them. They would continue this for years and years and years. Simply astounding.
  19. I haven’t heard of Mike’s. There’s one on forest that I pass by when I head down to deep ellum on concert nights. This gives me a good reason to drop in and try them out.
  20. I make jalapeno fried chicken a few times every year. My MIL says it’s the best fried chicken she’s ever had. Chicken thighs brined in vinegar, jalapenos, garlic cloves, cilantro, salt and pepper overnight. Breading is flour, cayenne, paprika, dried oregano and granulated garlic. Recipe comes from homesick texan - family cookbook. My wife now refuses to eat fried chicken from anywhere else.
  21. One is a great choice. Interestingly enough, I remember the La’s being interviewed when ā€œThere she goesā€ was released, and they hated the recording because they felt it didn’t capture the energy of their live performance. For universal like-ability, a message of positivity and hope resonates with everyone. Iz’s voice and the simplicity of ā€œsomewhere over the rainbowā€ delivers.
  22. It’s ready. C’mon over.
  23. Earl is living life right. As I read this, my playlist served up It’s Friday; it’s reggae
