  1. This is a weird one imo. Don’t think the Sharks received nearly enough for giving up a Norris d man and retaining salary. I also think this is an odd move for Pitt, as they are well out of their cup window and should think about a sell off to begin competing with their next generation of players. This move just prolongs the inevitable.
  2. Well, the Wings signed and extended DeBrincat for four years.
  3. DeBrincat’s contract is absolutely awful. You better hope Detroit doesn’t waste money on a 5’7” winger. I know the wings struggled putting the puck in the net last season but a qualifying offer of $9MM for a player that will absolutely get rag dolled in postseason will not be good.
  4. Not sure what he thinks he’s worth but I can confidently say it’s not more than $6MM/year. I’m sure some desperate team will throw stupid money at him but he didn’t exactly look great in the postseason. He’s been known to basically stop trying when he doesn’t get what he wants; see his last few years in St Louis.
  5. My favorite of their bedtime stories is when aggy bitch Camo gets to tell off a dumb sip about the war they won in the 1940s. I’m sure that is based in reality as much as their other fun claims.
  6. It will be an interesting offseason for Alex DeBrincat. I believe his qualifying offer starts at $9 million/year. That’s a steep price to pay for a 5’7” winger. I know he’s a sniper that can put the puck in the net but at that size, he’ll be a liability in the playoffs. If this postseason taught us anything, it’s that big boy physical hockey hasn’t gone anywhere and won’t for a long time.
  7. Very good trade for the Avs, imo. Good size, very solid off the draw, and I think he will fit right into that second line spot at a relatively cheap AAV.
  8. My freshman year at Texas, I took a course titled Beyoncé Feminism. The idea was that we were supposed to listen to her music to analyze the black experience in America. I think I took it to hit my GC flag requirement.
  9. Eichel. He’s made tons of plays tonight and throughout the playoffs in the defensive zone. He also has 23 points in 21 games. He’s played unbelievably.
  10. The swamp cats are done. Vegas is just too big, too skilled, and disciplined.
  11. The officiating tonight was absolutely disgusting. I understand letting a few calls go in favor of the team down 3-1 in the series but that was blatant game manipulating by the NBA to try to extend this series to a sixth game. Happy for guys like Jokic and Murray; they deserve the title. The NBA can properly fuck off.
  12. I’m just glad to be done with ESPN hockey coverage. They fucking suck. TNT’s coverage is so much better imo.
  13. Buddy you just awoke my rage. My lady loves to start a load of laundry just before we head out to do something in which we won’t be home for many hours. I tell her every time not to do that because wet clothes sitting in a wet washer starts to smell. My message never gets listened to.
  14. Be careful going to games in the SEC, you might get assaulted by a couple of fat fucks on scooters.
  15. Yes, and I’m paying the price heavily this morning.
  16. What a game. These guys are warriors for competing as long as they did.
  17. It really is incredible how much shit people make up out of thin air.
  18. Consensus seems to be expansion to Houston and Atlanta. I hope it’s not Atlanta; they’ve tried and failed multiple times there. I would actually love to see a team return to Quebec City.
  19. I’m from Massachusetts so the weather shouldn’t be anything I haven’t experienced at home. De Haan looks pretty cool, thanks for the rec!

  21. Baller move to workout at a conference opponent’s facility only to pump their eyes shut come October.
  22. Bumping this thread. Heading to Amsterdam and Belgium in December. I feel like I have a very solid grasp of what Amsterdam has to offer. I’m looking for opinions on options for Belgium. Will be a birthday trip for my wife (no pics), and we enjoy nightlife as well as exploring cultural spots. Bruges seems like a must do based on what I’ve read in this thread and from conversations with friends and family. I’ve heard mixed reviews about Brussels though. A family member told me it’s basically Frankfurt; more of a home base that you can use to travel around the country than it is a nice place to visit. How accurate is that?
