  1. Fantasy response: On Wednesday, lame duck president Joe Biden announces a no fly zone over ALL of Ukraine. Fuck around and find out.
  2. I suggest a Five Point Plan to settle this disagreement once and for all. 1. We watch the Texas vs. Florida game. Sum Ewers QBR +10 for a team win -10 for a team loss. 2. We watch the Texas vs. Arkansas game. Sum Ewers QBR +10 for a team win -10 for a team loss. 3. We watch the Texas vs. Kentucky game. Sum Ewers QBR +10 for a team win -10 for a team loss. 4. We watch the Texas vs. Aggy game. Sum Ewers QBR +10 for a team win -10 for a team loss. 5. We watch the next Texas game of the season (Bowl game, SEC Championship, or First round playoff). Sum Ewers QBR +10 for a team win -10 for a team loss -30 if this is a bowl game +10 if it's the SEC championship. Then we find the average of these five sums. This gives us his measure on the ULTIMATE SCALE OF PUSSYTUDE/BOSSNESS (working title...in process) 0-65.0 : THE ULTIMATE PUSSY : Sorry Quinn, you are officially and forever a Huge Pussy 65-75 : PRETTY MUCH A PUSSY : Quinn, you had so much potential but you ended up playing like a Pussy for us. There might be hope for you in the future though. 75-85 : KIND OF A PUSSY : Quinn, we would have had a real shot this season if you didn't play like a pussy one too many times. Good luck in the NFL though bro. 85-95 : MOST LIKELY NOT A PUSSY : Quinn did enough to win, but could he have done more? (I admit if we end up here the argument will go on. I'll take my chances) 95-100 : DEFINITELY NOT A PUSSY : You can say what you want about Quinn Ewers, but he ain't no pussy. 100+ : DUDE IS A BOSS : It turns out you guys have just been haters the whole time. Potential Longhorn Legend. (This is all completely arbitrary and not based on any kind of science or intelligence) May the testes be with you, Quinn.
  3. It seems to be blocking the video here, but you can still follow the link and watch some nice highlights of Bijan's 145 yard day in week 9.
  4. This is my map on the eve of the election. I'm putting my heart on the line and daring to hope.
  5. Ain't nobody knows shit about fuck all.
  6. I don't know if he did it on purpose, but that could certainly be an effect. 🙏
  7. Are we even watching the same video? I’m not going to change your mind, but I think most people will feel he called Trump supporters garbage. At the least, it is not a crazy take and is not “made up by the stupid media”. if anything, we should be angry about the false equivalency of Trump saying 1000 awful/stupid things and Biden saying 1. “Oh look, they are the same.” 🤡
  8. Did you watch the actual video? Biden called Trump supporters garbage. Did he mean to? Uh, who knows? Speaking was never his strong suit, and his speech has rapidly gone downhill over the past four years. Will this move the needle? I doubt it. America takes being talked down to better from a man.
  9. I've been thinking about this a lot lately. I think modern life is failing people in many ways. It's not just the rules we play by, it's the very structure of our lives. Fairly or not, people blame our leaders. Trump is promising people he will burn it all the fuck down. And they believe him. They know he's a liar and a degenerate scumbag, but they don't care. They want to see it burn. Do I agree with this viewpoint? No. Is it wise or constructive IMO? No. This is just what I keep coming back to when I try to understand what the non-super-partisan Trump voters are thinking.
  10. Brought to you by the party of personal responsibility (unless you can blame the liberal media)
  11. From unincorporated Harris county, F I G H T !!!
  12. Dear Sir, If you mean to imply the good folks at Surly have a tendency to get overly excited about good results and panic too much over bad results, then I am offended.
  13. Why not? Should it be some kind of secret? I'm not trying to be argumentative here, I really want to know why he couldn't.
  14. Texas 49 Vandy 10 Texas Passing 276 yards
  15. This. If this team is anywhere as good as we thought it was on October 18, 2024 then they should be taking out some frustration on an over-matched team.
  16. Who is the player? (I'm just curious)
  17. Quinn has set a very high standard for himself by playing REALLY well in some big games. (Both Alabama games, Michigan, B12 Championship & 49-0) He hasn't lived up to that standard over the last two games. Not close. You know it, Sark knows it, he knows it. Everyone fucking knows it. The story isn't written on his career yet. No one will care about any of this if he wins the national championship this year. I can totally understand being skeptical of his ability to bounce back from this, but Quinn seems like a good kid and I hope he gets his body & his head right and turns this thing around for us. Let's fucking go Horns! Shake it the fuck off, we're still in this thing. 🤘
  18. First off, I’m with you. 🤘 I didn’t intend to foster a defeatist mindset in this thread. Dealing with losses is just an important part of being a fan. I have no idea how the rest of the season will play out, and neither does anyone else. I think our team last year was excellent, and I suspect this year they are even better. The team didn’t play up to its own standard, but shit happens. Hopefully that’s motivation for them to improve the rest of the way.
  19. Hope springs eternal with each new college season. Every year we have dreams dancing in our head, "If we could only get to that Nth win" -- "If we could just win the conference" -- "If we could just make the playoff" -- "If we could win the national championship". Some years these dreams are more realistic than others. More years than not, reality does come a knocking. It's that time of year, our first loss of the season. In the 132nd season of Texas football, it's only NOT happened 9 times. (2005, 1969, 1963, 1920, 1918, 1914, 1900, 1895 & 1893) In six seasons, our first loss came the last game of the season! (2009, 1983, 1977, 1970, 1913 & 1894) This pain is visceral, like a punch to the gut or a bad burrito. I felt it when we were down 23-0 at half time. I felt it again when we failed to hold them on 3rd and 10 backed up against their own end zone late in the third quarter. The crowd was electric, deafening at that moment. The air just got sucked out of the stadium with the 21 yard completion. It hit hard and with finality when Quinn Ewer's 4th down completion stopped 2 yards shy of the first down with 5 minutes left to go. We lost. We got humiliated at home. One of the biggest losses by a #1 team, at home, in history. I'm not going to tell you that loss shouldn't hurt. In fact, I'm celebrating the hurt. It hurts because we love the game. We love the spectacle, the poetry and the brutality. We love Texas Longhorn Football. We share the pain of thousands of fans before us felt the 123 other times that first loss of the season tarnished our dreams. So, if you like, share some of those painful memories of games you attended or just have stuck in your mind over the years. Keep dreaming big. Hook 'em Horns 🤘
  20. The wings worked out pretty well! That was me and @elfenix thanks for an amazing tailgate!
