  1. How old were you? Yikes.
  2. @Deej maybe i missed it, but how did this injury happen? Give me the story!
  3. Who are the big players that have the terminal capacity today to take advantage? Would that be like a Kinder Morgan or Williams companies? Who has the ability to invest in terminal capacity today that isn't quite there? an up and coming? Sorry for the really basic and noob questions and thanks for your input.
  4. From what I’ve been reading, most of the new oil and investments are coming from deep sea. Brazil, Guyana, that area of the world and Atlantic. Thoughts there? Also companies that focus on deep sea rigs etc?
  5. What’s the quiet part aloud in this article? This is straight forward and been the narrative the entire time; no subtext I’ve ever seen about any of this.
  6. You are right on with the bolded, but if we are being honest, the problem of higher education is more complex than just cost. It's also one of value. I posted this on another thread (we seem to have multiple threads nibbling at the same problem); it's very long read. But we went to UT so we can do it, and very interesting read to boot, from the New Yorker on the the death of the English major and much more how it portends to the change in higher ed: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2023/03/06/the-end-of-the-english-major
  7. This guy is a dollar tree Forrest Gump who is going to get himself killed
  8. Not sure which of the higher education concern threads this goes on, but very long and very interesting read from the New Yorker on the the death of the English major: https://www.newyorker.com/magazine/2023/03/06/the-end-of-the-english-major
  9. Understood-- I'm definitely a noob so no offense taken, but very interested and curious to learn more. That said, what is your thesis because I missed it? Do you think demand in China will pop? M&A and consolidation will be heavy this year (especially as flush with cash?) Those were the more interesting parts of that article that stood out: and
  10. This is an interesting read from WSJ: https://www.wsj.com/articles/frackers-increase-spending-but-see-limited-gains-e71fa76a
  11. The whole foray into the consumer business was always weird to me, from paying a boatload to Apple for the credit card to the GreenSky acquisition to years ago even with Marcus. What do I know, I think having a DJ CEO is pretty cool, though.
  12. Actually yes. Or defaults through the roof.
  13. To quote myself, I guess we will find out soon. Regardless of the supreme court decision, I read that in May, after 3 YEARS of student loan repayment suspension, good, bad or indifferent, the clock starts back on again. This is going to be a huge shock to the system as I have to imagine most people have grown accustomed to not having a $xxx monthly payment and have assumed that money for other parts of the budget, especially as things cost more (inflation, rent/housing, etc.) and people make same or less (wage stagnation). My theory is society got used to not having to service this debt and there will be a rude awakening.
  14. Kung Fu Panda 2 as well, speaking of Dreamworks. Also Sing 2 slightly edges out the original Sing
  15. I also looked it up. Apparently Earthworm Jim animator made some anti-trans statements. Probably nobody knew about this because that was such a minor game from the 90's that who would even know or care who that guy was?
  16. One piece of evidence that’s missing from the natural transmission theory? The animal that hypothetically did the infecting hasn’t been identified. Given all this uncertainty, two other US agencies haven’t reached a conclusion on Covid’s beginnings yet. So, if you’re doing the math at home: Four US agencies believe it was natural transmission, two say lab leak, and two are undecided. Scientists say it’s important to make every effort to learn how Covid-19, a pandemic that’s caused nearly 7 million deaths globally, began, so we can better prevent the next one. But with the Chinese government thwarting investigations by global authorities, there may only be so much information the US can gather. And it might never be able to confidently answer the question: How did Covid begin?
  17. Two different investigating bodies, using two different methodologies, seems to be stronger than just one, though:
  18. Ren & Stimpy, Earthworm Jim (awesomely underrated sega genesis game from the early 90's btw!) and who is the third? is that Harry Potter?
  19. Your post reminds me of this, which my white daughter introduced and played for me the other day:
  20. Warner Bros. Discovery. is suing Paramount Global, MTV, and South Park Digital Studios for $200m+, alleging they conspired to use “South Park” content to bolster Paramount+, despite HBO’s exclusive streaming rights.
