  1. Ahahahaha ... LBJ finally with a 1-2-3 inning, sort of, thanks to a 2-out CS at third.
  2. Still moving goalposts. You used the terms "proper running game" and "legit running game" and implied Dak couldn't win without one. You refuse to admit that this was wrong and stupid, despite clear evidence to the contrary, so it doesn't seem like it's me who can't "accept and move on." Incidentally, prior to 2023, Pollard was averaging 5.1 yards per carry for his career. He netted 4.0 yards per rush in 2023. The league average that season was 4.1. In fact, the only player on the team with more than 14 carries to exceed the league average was ... Dak Prescott (4.4 ypc). In virtually all metrics, Dallas' ground game was middle of the pack in 2023 and was neither proper nor legit.
  3. My expectations for Pawhuska were very, very low, so I was pleasantly surprised that the downtown district had four-story brick buildings with intact roofs.
  4. "Matt Stafford can win games without a proper running game. Dak's record without a legit running game is abysmal." You wrote that. As far as I know, nobody held a gun to your head and forced you to make a statement that was so easily disproven but very recent and objective data. Since you neglected to address the question, is it safe to assume that you agree that Dallas did not possess a "legit running game" during the 2023 season? By extension, is it then reasonable to conclude that you now disagree with the italicized material, which you stated not but a few hours ago, and now concede that Dak can win without a proper running game behind him?
  5. I like Stillwater. That whole area of the state is interesting. Ever been to Pawhuska? But I agree that Louisville seems, at best, a side-grade for Drew at this stage. He's built Baylor into a nationally renown program despite some monstrous disadvantages that he inherited. He probably has an unofficial "contract for life" arrangement. With apologies to Olden Polynice and the ghost of Denny Crum, Louisville just ain't what it was.
  6. Overdue. Dude seemed to lack the maturity/composure requisite of a leader, imo.
  7. Thomas Jefferson: All men are created equal. NFL QBs: You obviously never met Aaron Donald.
  8. Moving goal posts. Allow me to remind you what you said: Dak's record last season without a "legit running game" was 12-5. Your point was immediately and irrefutably debunked ... because it was stupid and easily shown as false. That's not an insult, that's a fact. If you don't want your takes called out for being stupid, then like I suggested earlier, do better. Are you genuinely trying to insist that Dallas last season DID have a legit running game? Please, please, please answer this, because if you say yes, then that's a second-straight incomprehensibly idiotic take for you, and if you admit that no, Dallas did NOT, then you are contradicting your original assertion that Dak can't win without a "legit running game."
  9. Dallas' regular season record was 12-5. Even if you want to include the postseason disaster, that's still 12 wins and a 67% win-rate "without a proper running game" for Dak and the Cowboys, which is the point I was making. Dak isn't an elite QB. I don't think he should be resigned for $50MM--$60MM/yr or whatever amount they are throwing around. But no QB is going to return Dallas to the promised land with the current leadership. The issue starts are the top, from owner and managers to coaches. Until that changes, we Cowboys fans will continue to have lots of free time in January.
  10. Nobody--least of all his own fans--is giving Dak sole credit. You just made a stupid comment about Dak being unable to win without a "proper running game." I addressed it. But instead of admitting your take was dumb, you're trying to shift this to "people are giving Dak all the credit for wins" when it's the opposite--you weren't giving him ANY credit for those wins. Do better.
  11. I see RC is creeping closer to being crowd sourced, yet the neg rep doesn't seem to be occurring in the hoops forum. What other group of people on this board is he relentlessly trolling/annoying?
  12. Dallas didn't have a "proper running game" last season, yet Dak went 12-5. Not sure why Dak and Stafford are being compared as their styles of play are very different. One thing I'll say for Stafford is, when he finally got paired with a young, creative coaching staff, he won a Super Bowl. As good as Mahomes is, do you think he'd be a three-time champ if he'd gone to Dallas instead of Andy Reid and the Chiefs? I don't think Dak is in Mahomes' class (who is?), but coaching matters. A lot. Just ask Vince.
  13. You can't? Well, that certainly explains why I wasn't invited to the reception ...
  14. Pretty sure Austrians invented croissants. And I dunno where lattes were invented, but if you've ever had cafe sua da after a big bowl of pho, you'll come away believing the Vietnamese perfected the coffee-based drink.
  15. Yeah, that brisket looks awful. All the same, I'm enjoying your Former TM Top 50 BBQ tour, @GreenspointTexas. Keep them coming. Hope you find a bona fide winner before it's over.
  16. Remember a year ago, when Pulisic first went to AC Milan and many were worried if Leao would keep Christian on the bench? Fast forward to today and you see the sort of highlights that @ztejas shared, with both players featured simultaneously. Credit Puli for working hard, getting better, staying healthy and proving to Pioli that he deserved any minute he could get. But let's also credit Pioli for recognizing how Christian is special and finding a way to get both Leao and Pulisic on the pitch at the same time. The right boss makes all the difference.
  17. Who are two people who have never been in my kitchen?
  18. Are you combining conference tournament titles with regular season conference titles? One or the other, not both. Bad form, Peter.
  19. The centrifugal-flow Nene was superior to the axial-flow BMW 003 or Jumo 004 in terms of power and reliability, but in terms of future growth and technology in the aviation industry, ze Germans und Hans von Ohain took the better path. The Brits were terribly naive in donating a Nene, imo.
  20. 4 SIAA titles 2 TIAA titles 57 SWC titles 10 Big 12 titles Pretty sure that adds up to 73, not 80.
