  1. Peyton Tanner is in the portal or about to enter. It’s Texas or Baylor, apparently. Easton Winfield’s girlfriend.
  2. Just read Louisville’s Char Lorenz is interested in us. .368, 9 HR last year. OF
  3. Katie at first makes me wonder if we are leading for Dakota Kennedy out of Arizona.
  4. That’s why I asked bc it’s confusing to say you’re going to fully fund all scholarships up to the roster limit and then tell us it’s only 25 for baseball when the roster limit is 34. Hopefully we get some clarification on that
  5. Those are all fantastic shirts
  6. So Schloss wants 25 then, even if CDC is willing to fund 34?
  7. I love whoever came up with the phrase “mebounds” for rebounding your own shitty shot 3x in a row
  8. 6 Tech player entered the portal today. Gerry making room
  9. I’m confused why it’s 25 bc CDC wrote this in his weekly recap: Isn’t the new roster limit 34?
  10. We got rule changes! @Pancho https://ftw.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaab/2025/06/10/ncaa-rule-changes-mens-college-basketball-replay-challenges/84137118007/ New for 2025, officials will no longer be able to go to the monitor to review out of bounds calls in the final two minutes. Such reviews can only be initiated by a coach's challenge, which is also new for next season and can occur at any point in the game. Under the coach's challenge rule, teams must have a timeout to request an instant replay review challenge. If the instant replay review challenge is successful, teams will be allowed to have one additional video review challenge for the rest of the game, including overtime. If the first video review challenge is unsuccessful, the team loses the ability to challenge the rest of the game. Officials can initiate video reviews on basket interference/goaltending and restricted arc plays in the last two minutes of the game and into overtime. Recent data shows these reviews caused minimal game interruptions. NCAA Men's Basketball Rules Committee members think the coach's challenge will have a significant impact on the flow of the game. Officials cannot conduct video review on out-of-bounds calls unless through a coach's challenge. Officials will still be able to initiate reviews for "timing mistakes, scoring errors, shot clock violations, 2-point versus 3-point field goal attempts, flagrant fouls, etc." But leaving out-of-bounds calls up to a challenge system will almost certainly limit the lengthy delays.
  11. Volantis wins NCBWA National Freshman Pitcher of the Year Second Longhorn ever - Knebel won it in 2011
  12. In the 4 scenarios that USC wins below, 3 of them are by 12.25 points or fewer, so either baseball or basketball could have flipped those by advancing one more round. There is 1 scenario where neither baseball's 14 points lost or basketball's 20 points lost would make up the difference (22.25 point difference) Basketball was in the play-in, Baseball was #2 overall seed. One way way way way way underperformed and there's a small chance it will cost us the Cup.
  13. He will pick Ohio State even if Texas is a 10 point favorite Starts and ends with Brutus. His last time doing it will not be to be booed by a bunch of Ohio State trash.
  14. Also Houston is filled - Texas staff looks to be intact for another season. Was kind of worried UH would make a run at Singleton or Zaleski. HOUSTON – Chrissy Schoonmaker, the 2022 Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year and former University of Houston Softball assistant coach was named the third coach in program history, Vice President for Athletics Eddie Nuñez announced Tuesday.
  15. Slow work day
  16. Closes Monday, June 16. Think Mike needs a little time this week for end-of-season evals and interviews, since the team just got home on Saturday and immediately celebrated.
  17. Man, there was a lot of movement in the final ESPN poll 1 Texas (4) 2 Tech (10) 3 OU (2) 4 Tennessee (6) 5 UCLA (9) 6 Oregon (11) 7 Florida (5) 8 Ole Miss (21) 9 FSU (7) 10 South Carolina (12) 11 Clemson (13) 12 Nebraska (20) 13 Arkansas (3) 14 Alabama (16) 15 aggy (1) 16 Liberty (RV) Kind of shitty to rank aggy above Liberty. And Arkansas and aggy both shouldn't finish top 16, they didn't make a super. Clemson was far more competitive in their super regional than FSU. But Texas did the following against the final top 25 (20-12 record) #2 (4-1 record) #3 (1-3 record) #4 (2-2 record) #7 (3-1 record) #8 (1-0 record) #11 (2-1 record) #15 (0-1 record) #18 Arizona (1-0 record) #19 LSU (2-1 record) 22 Stanford (0-1 record) #23 Miss St (2-1 record) #24 Ohio State (1-0 record) #25 OKST (1-0 record)
  18. Cool!
  19. A lot of people keep comparing her to Citlaly , in that because she played at a 2A school, she isn't built to pitch at Texas. She didn't end the year well, but she has a 2.17 ERA in 3 years at Texas and a 34-9 record with 7 saves. She didn't have a great year, but if she can get back to her 2.00ish ERA years, I'd be glad for her to stick around and be a reliever or #3 pitcher again. Depends on Wells' development (TK #1, Cam #2). We won the whole thing with a 2.55 ERA (15th best in the country). #1 lost in the semis (to us), #2 lost in the finals (to us), #6 got swept in the supers, #10 and #11 didn't make it to the semis in OKC and #13 lost in the supers. If Hannah can finish around a 2.50 or less, she will be a big time contributor. Cam finished at 2.48 her freshman year and had 2 huge appearances against Clemson and Texas Tech. TK was 2.20 to finish her freshman year.
  20. Session 4 was the Saturday 1-0 games and Session 5 was the cross-bracket games between 1-1 teams.
  21. Yep. He isn't in the business of recruiting over his roster, like Patty. Fill holes where needed. The staff likely has a plan for what to do with Stewie (1B, 3B or leave her in LF), which gives them options for what to do in the portal (stud OF like Dakota Kennedy or a corner infielder like Tallen Edwards). Same with likely having an idea of who is sticking around in the circle and what they should be pursuing. The portal for softball closes June 16. I'm sure Mike is working on end of season interviews now that the hangover of a national championship has faded a little and some players need to get in that motherfucka. Except for Reese, TK, Stewie, Goode, Henry, Maloney, Cam (and Vivi, duh) - we ain't getting rid of you just yet.
  22. Windhorst sure thinks it’s unlikely there’s a trade market for Giannis. He’s likely to stay in Milwaukee
  23. Come on, Mac totally redeemed herself the last couple weekends of the season
  24. Nah if we win that game, RT is probably still here
