  1. 8-10 in conference + likely 9-2 non conference That is assuming a loss to Duke (duh) and UConn and wins over ASU and Virginia and the other 7 traffic cone opponents
  2. She hasn't won it yet, but a few players who won their conference POY 3 years in a row includes: Breanna Stewart (2014, 2015, 2016) UConn Courtney Paris (2007, 2008, 2009) OU Brittney Griner (2011, 2012, 2013) Baylor A'ja Wilson (2016, 2017, 2018) South Carolina Sabrina Ionescu (2018, 2019, 2020) Oregon Shelly Pennefather (1986, 1987, 1988) Villanova Kerry Bascom (1989, 1990, 1991) UConn Alana Beard (2002, 2003, 2004) Duke Alyssa Thomas (2012, 2013, 2014) Maryland Elizabeth Kitley (2022, 2023, 2024) Virginia Tech Jessica Davenport (2005, 2006, 2007) Ohio State Caitlin Clark (2022, 2023, 2024) Iowa I found one player who won 4 in a row Jantel Lavender (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011) Ohio State
  3. Anywho - back to Texas: https://texaslonghorns.com/news/2025/10/13/womens-basketball-womens-basketballs-madison-booker-named-sec-preseason-player-of-the-year-by-media Texas picked No. 2 in SEC media poll, Booker and Harmon earn preseason All-SEC honors from media. BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — Two-time First Team All-American and 2025 SEC Player of the Year Madison Booker has been selected the SEC Preseason Player of the Year by the media the conference announced on Monday. In the preseason SEC media poll Texas is picked to finish second behind South Carolina. In addition to player of the year honors Booker earned a spot on the preseason All-SEC First Team and Rori Harmon was selected to the preseason All-SEC Second Team.
  4. Bowel movement intensifies
  5. Yeah, those 6 points were very impressive. PK was pissing his pants that they might score another FG before half.
  6. Okot only went for 11 and 4 against us last year at MSST. She was not the reason that game was so close
  7. Holy crapola, whoever gets the job is probably going to have a sensational debut Marshall at Temple Buffalo at Maryland at Michigan at Northwestern Minnesota Purdue Rutgers USC Wisconsin at Washington If the new guy can't win 10 games minimum with that schedule, the hire was Charlie Strong-esque.
  8. Well then, I hope you have sent a strongly worded letter to Starbucks to introduce a bourbon spice latte.
  9. Do we have a better source on this?
  10. Shut up about Quinn Ewers. SHUT UP ABOUT QUINN EWERS
  11. It would absolutely be so aggy to extend him with a huge contract in a year they missed Bama, Georgia, Tennessee, right before 2026, when they go to Bama, LSU, Missouri, OU and have Texas and Tennessee
  12. 4 of their final 6 games are on the road
  13. Will need a thread title change - Apple TV+ is rebranding to just Apple TV (and likely changing the name of the Apple TV device).
  14. Cleveland's name and mascot have allegedly leaked - Cleveland Sirens. Mascot is a redheaded mermaid. Teal, orange and white are the colors (wow that sounds tacky)
  15. So they are now down Kitts and Watkins (sitting out this season). Two forwards out of the rotation. Kitts was the SEC Tournament MVP and an HM All-American. 6'6 transfer Okot (from MSST) will likely start at center, with sophomore 6'3 Edwards at forward. She struggled in the NCAAT, but was still First Team All-SEC, and had a double-double against Texas in the Final Four Dauda and Tac are their other frontcourt bench players, who were disappointing last season. And a freshman 6'1 wing who played forward in Brazil/international ball.
  16. Texas getting some votes, but not enough to be ranked to start the season https://apnews.com/hub/ap-top-25-college-basketball-poll 2 SEC teams in the top 10 (Florida/Kentucky), 4 more in the top 25 (Arkansas, Bama, Tennessee, Auburn), 6 more receiving votes (Texas, Ole Miss, Missouri, Vandy, Miss St, OU) Total of 12 SEC teams receiving at least 1 vote in the AP poll
  17. Delusional fanbases often think they will “upgrade by downgrading” but you’ll never convince them it was a downgrade See: OU and Venables
  18. The SEC must really hate Hugh Freeze.
  19. Shame for them. But also, we know that feeling
  20. What about their OL, WRs and RBs scream SEC-quality?
  21. The tears from the cockier fanbase each year in this rivalry could alleviate droughts. There's been 6 wins by the lower/unranked team in this rivalry in the last 14 games (2013 Texas, 2015 Texas, 2018 Texas, 2020 OU, 2023 OU, 2025 Texas) and a 5 one-score wins by the higher ranked team (2014, 5 points; 2016, 5 points; 2017, 5 points; 2019, 7 points; 2021, 6 points) I know *why* fans of the higher ranked team go in with expectations of blowing out their rival, but man, the underdog/lesser ranked team usually comes in primed for an upset.
  22. Probably going to hit or exceed $200 million in buyouts. Money for a coach and his staff to *not* be the coach. Sorry, gotta cut archery and softball again, we have unrealistic expectations and had to pay this guy $50m to go away
  23. He's about to destroy the NBA
  24. Yeah, I do like Sark's chances of getting the first 3-game win streak in the series since 1997-1999
  25. Sark and Mack now both have 3-2 records in a 5 game stretch in the series (2004-2008 for Mack, 2021-2025 for Sark) Mack: Average score: 25.4-20 One loss as the higher ranked team (2007) One win as the lower ranked team (2008) Shut out once (2004) Sark: Average score: 36.8-19.6 One loss as the higher ranked team (2023) One win as the lower ranked team (2025) Never shut out 3 games with no TDs allowed (2022, 2024, 2025) Sark's first 2-game win streak in the series. Mack had 3 of them himself (1998-99, 2005-06 and 2008-09) Mack never had a 3-game win streak
