  1. Did a little longboarding around some residential streets yesterday afternoon near my hotel in Odessa. Just slow cruising and nice weather. Need some better roads and scenery but enjoyable.
  2. Episode 3 - Hell yes. Based on historical characters.
  3. Interestingly I started the book this weekend then drove all the highways described in the beginning of the book around Fredericksburg and San Angelo on Monday.
  4. I think the scene Bill refers to is actually in episode 1, but yes short and tame in comparison to any of the scenes from GOT. 13 yr old me would’ve gone crazy but these days network commercials are racier sometimes.
  5. I started reading on a Kindle while traveling overseas for long work stretches and couldn’t carry enough books to get through the trip. Loved the first two episodes. My wife doesn’t generally like shows with lots of sex and nudity so trying to gauge if this is something she would enjoy or not. GOT definitely not.
  6. Saw Foghat and The Knack same timeframe same venue.
  7. Started All the Pretty Horses. Engaging.
  8. That's what I did also, where my normal size is a 10-D, went down to 9.5-D, still swimming in the shoe. I think I tried a 9.5-B which I couldn't get my foot into. My feet are on the small side of 10-D especially in volume if not length and width. Hoping the pinch pennys fit a little differently.
  9. I tried a couple different pairs of beefrolls and the sizes just didn’t work for me. Felt like my heels wanted to slip when I walked around. I’ve got a pair of the pinch pennys on order cause I really want a pair of slip ons.
  10. We’re also looking at a bathroom remodel in the future. Currently we have a small (34x36) shower next to a crappy whirlpool tub. What’s the current view on having both a shower and tub in the master bath, from a resale standpoint? Required? Replace the tub with a new whirlpool tub? Or just a regular bathtub?
  11. The motors are OK I think, just need new wiring to the switch and plug. Blades need sharpened. I’m missing the guard from the jointer, may take a look in my mom’s garage next time I’m in town to see if it’s laying around somewhere.
  12. On a similar note, I’ve picked up a Rockwell/Delta jointer and bandsaw that belonged to my dad to help my mom clear out her garage. The tools were originally purchased by my great grandfather in the 30’s or 40’s. They mostly work though need some TLC since they’ve just sat since 2008 or so. Anyone know a good place for spare parts and whatnot?
  13. That’s top notch stuff. You cannot buy that today. My dad built some beautiful cherry furniture in the 80’s and 90’s that will last for generations. When my mom passes, my siblings and I will choose up who gets what.

    Getting old sucks

I had to use a contraption called the Extensionator. A deal that I would sit in for 10-15 minutes that would try to force my leg straight. Holy shit.

    Use the term FREE loosely.

    Getting old sucks

@Dennis Taylor Do your physical therapy and then some. Hurts like a bitch longer than you think but should be worth it in the end. Bout a year.
  17. Is that just out on the shelf? Will need to check into this when I get back to H-Town.
  18. Houston, TX baby. That’s how we do it in Space City.

    Getting old sucks

You need to finish up the story where you broke his ankles on a crossover dribble while going hard in the paint.
