  1. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/article-6126415/Italian-doctors-INVENT-new-lasso-like-tool-remove-23-inch-dildo.html Doctors have to INVENT a new lasso-like tool to remove a 23-inch dildo that was lodged inside a man for 24 hours X-ray in the pic goes in the Holy Shit thread.
  2. Ferrari gonna Ferrari. Was hoping they were through Ferrari'ing with Vettel's spin, since I was pulling for Kimi. Great team work by Mercedes. Nice budget saving move by F1 putting those Carnival mask on Lufthansa flight attendants for the tropy presentation.
  3. McFadden was 2 times Heisman runner up and averaged 5.8ypc in the SEC SEC SEC, mediocre as a pro though. https://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/players/darren-mcfadden-1.html
  4. Have a look at Wal Mart for a cheap deer gun. They are clearancing some Weatherbys in .243 .270 .308 and 30.06 They have synthetic stock models for $249 and some with nice wood stocks for $349. They also have Mini 14s for $399, a synthetic stock 10-22 for $124 and a take down 10-22 for $169 but those are mostly gone already. There's also some shotguns for $140. Check the first page, but then look back through the last few pages as well, new stuff still being found. https://www.ar15.com/forums/General/-Official-WalMart-Clearance-thread-/5-2034658/?page=1 Typically you click on the link for whatever rifle, go to brickseek, then put in your zip code to see what your local wal mart has in stock. it's not 100% accurate but it's pretty close. I went to a store that showed a Mini 14 in stock, they couldn't find it. Went to another store with a cheap 10-22. Guy in front of me bought it, but they had a Mini 14 even though it didn't show one on Brickseek. FWIW the Weatherby action and barrel is made by Howa in Japan. Good reputation. The synthetic stock is American made I think, not sure about the wood.
  5. "He loathed pretense and sham of any sort" is just about a perfect motto for this site.
  6. Lot of people here hanging signs around their neck saying I need to be indexing instead of stock picking, even in a market that has a stupidly high percent of people indexing. Model 3 production has done them in. They couldn't ramp it up like they needed to. They've chewed through the backlog of pricier Model 3s. They haven't made a profit filling those orders. They can't make the 35k base model profitably yet that's the one most people want. Sales of the S and X models are dropping. Basically every major car manufacturer have EV's on deck. Porsche is taking orders, Jaguar delivering in Europe. Tesla will use up the last of it's EV tax credits this quarter. All these other companies still have theirs. They are almost out of cash, burning it fast, have big debt repayments the last part of this year and early next year that they have to have the cash for ahead of time. They need to raise money but have not, probably because of the SEC investigation. Musk tweets probably added another billion or two in liability. The future is not a $420 go private financed by the Sauds or anyone else. The future is a get rid of Elon and go BK. Wipe out the debt, raise some money, hire a competent CEO, give the lemmings some shares in the new company and they have a slim chance of competing against the majors. More likely they wind up just liquidating the whole thing. They don't really have any magic tech. anyone needs. Despite what Elon says they are actually way behind in driverless. Solar City was a sham merger to bail Musk out. The whole thing is a house of cards. Oh and the Model 3's that have been shipped have been garbage. Paint bubbles, missing bolts and screws, panel fit garbage. Service centers are overwhelmed, parts are always on backorder. They need a lot of money just to fix that mess. What else? Multiple whistleblower lawsuits, a ton of Model S coming off lease in the next few months, maybe a recall needed on the suspension that seems to keep having wheels fall off.(maybe aluminum control arms isn't the way to go. https://www.google.com/search?q=tesla+aluminum+control+arms&rlz=1C1GGRV_enDE752US753&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiTkKy06_fcAhWGDpoKHY1SDg8QsAR6BAgFEAE&biw=1280&bih=663 ) The only chance they have is that in a bull market stupid stuff happens. But why would anyone pay 70bln for this, when they can buy Volvo for $30billion, or Mercedes for $60 billion. In the process you get a global company, great brand, making a profit, EV's about to ship, etc. etc.
  7. I haven't balled on anything but my toddlers Fischer Price goal here in the living room in about 5 years. I'm middle age, overweight, slow AF. Video tape me balling for a week and I will give you just as many shit talking moments that work out, deep treys, and stumbling awkward drives to the rim, plus I will drop many more sick dimes that will hit my teammates right in the hands, before they fumble it away. Yes you will need to edit down 99% of it, but what's left will be gold Jerry, gold.
  8. After your mom tried my horse sausage she didn't need to go to any other yurts.
  9. And then this hit and the hits keep coming https://www.nytimes.com/2018/08/13/business/dealbook/tesla-elon-musk-saudi-arabia.html But three people familiar with the workings of the Saudi fund cast doubt on his account. They said the fund had taken none of the steps that such an ambitious transaction would entail, like preparing a term sheet or hiring a financial adviser to work on the deal. And even if the fund were ready to move forward with such an agreement, it would invite review by the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, the government body that reviews the national-security implications of such transactions. Two people familiar with the chain of events said that in a conversation with an informal adviser about the mess he had gotten himself into, Mr. Musk said he had taken to Twitter impulsively. He said he had done so because he was not the kind of person who could hold things in, and was angry at the company’s critics. A person with direct knowledge of the Tesla board’s thinking said some members of the board had been totally blindsided by Mr. Musk’s decision to air his plan on Twitter.
  10. Azealia Bank roasting Musk today. Apparently Musk girlfriend, singer, Grimes asked Azealia to come crash at Elons place and work on some tracks. "Staying at Elon musks house has been like a real life episode of "Get Out" "Lol I waited around all weekend while grimes coddled her boyfriend for being too stupid to know not to go on twitter while on acid" "Then she had the nerve to go ghost and book me a first class flight thru roc nation as if she's big enough to send me out of La. HA!" "I should have stayed my ass in NYC. They invited me here to stay and said I couldn't bring my boyfriend....LOL....It was probably some weird threesome sex shit to begin with." More here https://www.thefader.com/2018/08/13/azealia-banks-grimes-pork-skin-elon-musk-house Banks called Grimes a "dirty-sneaker-inbred-out of the woods Pabst beer pussy methhead-junkie" and called Musk a "trash ass beta male" with "pork skin" and here https://www.businessinsider.nl/azealia-banks-claims-to-be-at-elon-musks-house-as-he-sought-investors-2018-8/?international=true&r=US Banks said Musk seemed distracted over the weekend. “I saw him in the kitchen tucking his tail in between his legs scrounging for investors to cover his a– after that tweet,” she said. “He was stressed and red in the face.”
  11. Yeah glad he didn't read the directions in the owners manual.
  12. 2nd the Wal Mart fishing. I was about to go on a multi month trip to Asia. Didn't want to lose good glasses, found some "Berkley" branded polarized glasses on closeout for $5. That was 2014, I still have them. Careful though, was recently in a Wal Mart, saw some supposed polarized. Looked at glass reflections, etc. dang, not actually polarized.
  13. Does Golden State have the same achilles heal? What if old ass, always wonky kneed Iggy, goes down. They have a rookie guard, they signed a power forward, where's the wing depth? When Bogut went down that was big for them against Lebron. If Lebron got the step and the drive there was no one back there to stop him. Same for Harden last year, and Harden almost always gets the step. Cousins doesn't have to be a black hole on the post. He can go outside, pull someone like Capella out and open up things inside for Durant or Currry to drive. On defense he should be able to block out Capella, and put up some kind of obstacle to people driving past perimeter defenders. The Warriors kinda built themself to take on Lebron, now it's gonna be get past Houston, take on Philly or more likely Boston. That will be interesting.
  14. Not a Spurs or Mavericks fan, just a Melo realist. Leopards don't change their spots. Nor do aging ego maniacs. Rockets didn't push GSW to the brink with their offense, they did it with tough defense. Melo will not be a participant in that. I mean even if he underwent some Manchurian Candidate level brainwashing, that he is all NBA first team defense, his body simply isn't capable of it. Ennis will be a much better defender, and Ennis will probably be better with the open corner 3 everyone thinks Melo is going to shine from. It's not gonna be Melo see's Harden and Paul take some shots, so now it's his turn. He's gonna see Gordon and Anderson(until he's hopefully somehow traded) take shots, and say "I'm Carmelo, why are they shooting, I need to show these scrubs what's up." The only hope is that he was willing to sign for a couple million. That's chump change for a guy that's made $200mm in his career. Why go through a grueling season to make 2mm unless you're going to fully buy-in. It will be the first time he's bought in anywhere, so I don't see how Rocket fans can be so confident in their shit talking.
  15. Melo gonna run with the 2's but have tons of spacing? Not so bold prediction. Ennis will be a bigger contributor than Melo.
  16. For just a few day you can get a quick flight to Siem Reap and see Angkor Wat. There's a few days worth of stuff to see there. Still have time, go to Phnom Penh as well. You could also do Luang Prabang or Vientiene in Laos. Surly 1%er? Go to the Maldives. Or just go to the beach in Thailand. It's going to be the end of the monsoon, you'll have some days wiped out by rain so hard to have a set schedule. Railay, Ko Phi Phi tons of places to kick back, go on a snorkel day trip or two, etc.
  17. Dude. .174 speaks to me that he was borderline regarded. My wife hits the backwards basket toss free throw more than that when we play H-O-R-S-E. (and she kills me on it) For all you KNOW, last year was his CEILING. I mean going from 53 to 56 in years 3 and 4 don't inspire me with confidence that he will ever even shoot 65 much less 75 from the line. It's also so statistically insignificant that it doesn't inspire me with confidence that any of your argument is valid. Especially when you started with him being top 20, got spanked on it, then walked it back to 35, still got spanked, then started running wild projections based off this past seasons gains, with no regard to all that changed this past season. Dude did what he did playing with a HOF point guard and future HOF'er shooting guard, league MVP, but yeah he will be better next year no matter where he goes on account of because.
  18. Capela's one redeeming value is bounce. He gets off the floor quick. He reminds me of Tyrus Thomas that year he was killing dudes in the NCAA tournament. Oh he's so good defensively, he just needs to develop more on offense, but he's young, he will. Or not. Capela shooting 56% from the line after being in the league for several years should tell you, he's not likely to develop a sky-hook, or Hakeem's fade away, basically anything with touch. Shaq was another horrible free thrower, but he had the power game, Capela won't ever have that. Personally I would have trouble putting very much money into him, when all it takes is a Draymond, Zaza, J.R. Smith wayward foot to fuck up his bounce for life. Torn ACL or whatever, yeah he will come back, and be good, but he will lose that little bit that makes him an elite defender. Tough to pay much more than 20mm for that.
